I'm now on my final sandbox playthrough on NG+10 to get the hunters armour set. I hope that I'll never need another reason to go NG+ again!! Hopefully all future expansions will be like this and not require you to start over 🤘
For me personally it was the constant loading screens, yes they are quick but every single action requires a load, enter / leave ship, every door it’s just non stop blacking out on the screen never seen a game like it in 25 years. If they could even be bothered to hide it with animations this would be good enough for me. so that's the new model. release game at 50%, release DLC as the rest 50% is finished. ES6 will be the game, full ES6 will be available years after the launch
actually no, a lot of it was procedural created via software and systems.. they then created some handcrafted things and placed them. Most of the game was a complete mess and mainly was in development due to updating the creation engine which took a decade and its still a really bad engine.. it's just not a good engine and while it could be fixed the cost and time to do so would be like Star Citizen trying to fix cry engine... over a decade later and major progress has been made but its still has a lot more it needs to be fleshed out as the Star Engine and especially on the backend. Though a main difference here is something like starfield can be made in unreal engine, godot and many others, star citizen well there's not any engine im aware of designed to support anything of the sort.. and at the time of development and creation no better game engine before the scope exploded to unreasonable as chris always does with everything he's touched. The original idea would have been able to work in many current game engines and do very well... not anymore
@yulfine1688 ...Do the people making the game not have hands? ...It was TECHNICALLY handcrafted, which is what I fucking meant lol WAY to be worse than Bethesda.
I own the Constellation edition on Xbox and play it on pc with gamepass, haven't uninstalled it, it's in the rotation. Excited for the new content, looks fun.
I have been waiting to play Star Field until they released their first DLC. Looks like this is what I have been waiting for. Just like every Bethesda game, has it's problems at first, but they quickly fix them and make it into a fantastic game. Well time to download Star Field and get lost in another amazing Bethesda game. Love your reviews man. And your plays throughs are the only ones I watch. Just watched your Space Marine play through and it was fantastic.
Bethesda, is easily my favorite gaming developer. I don’t judge them for it was unknown territory. It’s missing the journey to each quest the planets are empty, no exploration. I’ve already given up on this one, but I have hopes for the next one as long as they learn from their mistakes.
I really enjoyed the base game during its launch. Spent quite an amount of hours playing but stopped after going into the unity...will definitely check the expansion once its out.
Sooo, they're giving us in this DLC what they should have already given us AT LUNCH in the base game, which will never be fixed btw.. If they actually remade the entire game, I might be interested to play lol
@@yulfine1688 I don't think it's too difficult to understand that I mean these type of stuff was supposed to be in the base game, then the DLC would be the cherry on top, instead it feels like they are only NOW developing the main game with this DLC and what we got before was like a placeholder.
@KeroŞero you'd be correct in this case, it is not surprising given what we learned from their nightmarish development and issues with the game engine the Microsoft acquiring them and so forth. Many games have been like this for a decade plus now sadly. Perhaps the unions being created within the game industry may change this over time but we will have to see.
I seriously don’t understand what people dislike so much about Starfield. It’s got its problems, but I have had a more stable and consistently enjoyable experience than I did with Skyrim at launch. I feel like it’s doing more for me as a gamer than Skyrim did. I love Skyrim, as I do all of the Elder Scrolls, I enjoyed fallout 3 and 4. But you have to admit that Skyrim was never meant for people who enjoy rpgs, it was lacking in any and all in depth gameplay, whereas Starfield has so much more in all aspects. We all loved the bland and easy to digest experience that was Skyrim, but people have complained about Starfield for having all the things I wished so hard they had included in Skyrim. Y’all make no sense.
The rev-8 is squarely as hell I’m not a fan of it bc it drifts way too much it’s a cool idea but unless the planet or moon has high gravity it makes the crazy wheels on shopping carts look tame

TOO LATE, they gave us crap and expect us to return when they say "it's good now" but fundamentaly the game is boring. No DLC will make it good. 13:37 those creature's are in game already and I found them on a moon in a level 55 star system on this oil rig structure. This dlc seems to be using quite abit of main game stuff. The varun pistol is already in the main game aswell. Only new thing I spotted was 2 new space suits, 1 new melee weapon and 1 new heavy gattling gun that shoots out lasers.
Looks great to be honest; I still play it but what turned me off to be honest is 2 things: the first is the total lack of interest in continuing the story as starting a new game change nothing in the story overall, as it plays mostly the same, no matter what I do in it; and the fact that finishing the game by doing "the last mission" also has little to no implications in the end, as the game suffer from lack of consequences for your actions. Couple this with the fact that all you do through your journey is lost when you go through the unity, and there is little to no incentive to proceed, so I just stay where I am. I would love bigger maps, better events and consequences for what I do, that persist when I go through unity; but this is impossible as it would be like rewriting the whole game so ain't gonna happen. Which is a shame, as I played more than 100 hours in this game, and always found something new to do and see; but when you realize that it is all for nothing, and you have to play the game multiple times, it feels just like a waste of time, compared to skyrim, where you can play it top to bottom and enjoy it for what it is and then restart it and play it totally differently.
really want Starfield to succeed! 1) (big) handcrafted maps for all future big DLCs 2) interesting AND attractive new companions 3) better NPC behaviour (day / night routines..) 4) NO MORE MOD DESTROYING, DUE TO UPDATES & PATCHES 5) pls fix the 3rd person camera (its such a downgrade from Fallout 4.., why!?.. pls modders help out), besides other still known issues (lip sync of Robin!?..its still broken on Xbox)
I'll play it, but calling it now, it will be underwhelming. It just looks like more of the same and Bethesda is saying whatever they can to offload as many copies of the DLC as they can before people find out it's likely just cut content from the game.
I might give it another shot IF they get to the two main issues I still have with it. Problem A: All the characters STILL look like unfinished UE4 Stock Assets. No details in the face, most of the characters looking the same, like these things have ALWAYS been Bethesda problems but Skyrim was almost 14 years ago now. It's long past time to step it up. Problem B (and my biggest gripe): There being no way to actually save any of your Ship Blueprints. If NG+ deletes all the ships from your inventory and effectively wastes any time and resorces you put into making a Custom Ship then that invalidates both NG+ and the entire Shipbuilder system. Until either Bethesda or a Modder one figures out how to fix that I have a negative interest in every playing Starfield again.
Problem A is not true(at least on PC), the handcrafted characters in the game, which are the ones you interact with, look GREAT, it's just the random NPCs that look low quality
@@Augusto9588 Then you've just contradicted yourself. And no, the main NPCs are not great by any metric. They are merely passable by Bethesda standards. Which are far behind the standards of any other studio of equivalent standing. The AI Generated NPCs have the same problem as the AI Generated everything else. And my point stands that marking something in 2023/2024 that would have looked lazy and/or outdated even in 2011 is unacceptable.
@@kaimagnus5760 >then you've just contradicted yourself. I have not, as a matter of fact, committed any contradictions in my comment. >And no, the main NPCs are not great by any metric. ESO just so you know I’ve already come across that Va’ruun pistol I believe it was added alongside the Rev-8 but I’m not 100% sure I’ve only come across it twice after the latest update.
If you can't get the zealots reinstated and then take them to lead House Va'ruun, and then conquer settled space a la Nuka Cola raiders in Fallout 4, I will be disappointed. Some of these npcs seem kinda soft. In the base game, even the pirate faction is weak.

Sorry, what does this mean? I honestly don't know
Umm handcrafted? Isn't every game handcrafted lol. Just saying
No, a lot of games use procedural generation and other things based off parameters and so forth hence why nms has an insane amount of different systems and planets.. except the issue is you'll quickly run into what looks the same up front because there are smaller details being changed and so forth...
@@yulfine1688 all of the POI's in starfield are hand crafted it's just the placement is procedurally generated, so this being "hand crafted" really won't make a difference
@@mikehunt4265yeah actually this does make a difference because the poi in vanilla starfield are procedully genetated horribly. A lot of the same poi repeat themselves and they are not very detailed. It’s boring even the caves are small and don’t feel rewarding to explore. This dlc is more like the other games where there’s more well thought out handcrafted locations and everything is different.
Yep
Definitely coming back to starfield, there is a lot.of new content for me to explore which I am excited about
I'm now on my final sandbox playthrough on NG+10 to get the hunters armour set. I hope that I'll never need another reason to go NG+ again!!
Hopefully all future expansions will be like this and not require you to start over 🤘
Damn i hate that i paid for this game and premium package. The trajectory of bethesda games has consistently gone down since skyrim.
Same.
For me personally it was the constant loading screens, yes they are quick but every single action requires a load, enter / leave ship, every door it’s just non stop blacking out on the screen never seen a game like it in 25 years. If they could even be bothered to hide it with animations this would be good enough for me. If you combined all the load screens in a playthrough of fallout 4 and Skyrim it would compare to 30mins in starfield
Huh? Really??? Millisecond loading screen isn’t good enough for you, you demand zero seconds?
Man, the demands from gamers is unreal
@@dantheanimator5072Starfield defenders are hilarious. Thank you for making me laugh today.
@@dantheanimator5072 It's 2024, my friend, and the excessive use of loading screens has become a relic of the past.
@@dantheanimator5072Try no man’s sky. It’s a great example, small indie company at the time managed to achieve real flying spaceships without loading screens a seamless immersive experience. The only load screens when warping are cleverly hidden with animations. Now Bethesda creators of famous Skyrim and fallout bring out this starfield. Now you can start to understand just how lazy and unpolished the game is? If you cannot then there is no hope for you my friend.

There are at least two ship crash sites already that I can think of, one story related and one randomly generated.
so that's the new model. release game at 50%, release DLC as the rest 50% is finished. ES6 will be the game, full ES6 will be available years after the launch
The entire game was technically "hand crafted" ...That didn't make it playable lol
actually no, a lot of it was procedural created via software and systems.. they then created some handcrafted things and placed them.
Handcrafted to be shit, classic Bethesda
Strait up joining the zealots
‘House vayroon’ 😂
They seriously could've come up with better names.
Bethesda, is easily my favorite gaming developer. I don’t judge them for it was unknown territory. It’s missing the journey to each quest the planets are empty, no exploration. I’ve already given up on this one, but I have hopes for the next one as long as they learn from their mistakes.
Iv been having a sick session in prep for this. Still doing things and missions iv never ever done before. Cant wait for this
imagine having to wait 15+ years for a proper mainline fallout game and getting this "handcrafted" trash..... lmao
Sure, there’s a story, but I’m just here to see how many new ways I can make things explode in zero gravity. Priorities, right?
Ill be on New Vegas Chocolate Vanilla Plus modlist, ill check on this when they have drivable cars like in my game.
I really enjoyed the base game during its launch. Spent quite an amount of hours playing but stopped after going into the unity...will definitely check the expansion once its out.

Played for 20+ hours via gamepass. Tried to like it but I just couldn’t.
I'm playing ATOM RPG, Danny did you give them your face for a character portrait, if not you've got a secret admirer.
Sooo, they're giving us in this DLC what they should have already given us AT LUNCH in the base game, which will never be fixed btw.. If they actually remade the entire game, I might be interested to play lol
I could have waited until breakfast but lunch is ok!!😂

you are aware most games by default hold DLCS to often expand upon things that didn't make it into the launch of the game or were not ready yet..
Can’t wait for Shattered Space! 🌌

I've missed your Skyrim videos and I've already got the DLC ready for the que, but I am worried for Todd and the sun visor guy.

Came to this channel as soon as the trailer dropped.
I love it.I really really just want more faction quest.
The rev-8 is squarely as hell I’m not a fan of it bc it drifts way too much it’s a cool idea but unless the planet or moon has high gravity it makes the crazy wheels on shopping carts look tame
I’m actually very excited for this. I can’t wait for some new content I exhausted Starfields base game lol
after 1 year of playing starfield i just recently started playing around with the outpost and started decorating my ships and apartments, safe to say im addicted lol.. might as well turn the game into a city builder so i can claim and build on a planet with my own factions and rules
This looks awesome Cabot wait to jump in I’ll have to make a new character to jump in with this
I'm not giving them one more dollar. They need to fix their broken stuff, before making new broken stuff.
It also giving me dragonborn dlc vibes
@ESOdanny Imo honestly think they will they will deep dive factions, some we know of and other we don't. BGS is still figuring out the universe of starfield and I think we will see the game evolve over time.
For me, I’m so excited. Yep definitely a lot of missed opportunities I feel, but playing this with mods on pc I am having so so much fun. I really hope they make more than 3 dlcs
TOO LATE, they gave us crap and expect us to return when they say "it's good now" but fundamentaly the game is boring. No DLC will make it good. I'm sure a small amount of people will talk about how good the DLC is. For me it's about principle. I will never launch this game again. They failed us all.. out of laziness and forgetting what gamers truly enjoy they are out of touch.
I now have hope in the elder scrolls 6, lets hope the dlc is good.
We’ve known it’s hand crafted for… months.
I will look forward to the revisit
I am going to re-install to play. I got all but 3 achievement when it came out but It just couldnt hold me. I think the fact that I could do all factions and everything in 1 playthrough actually hurt my experience. Instead of new playthroughs in different ways.

That crashed ship point isnt new. Its in the base game. Also that Varuun pistol isnt new either 😂 I got 12 days played I KNOW whats new or not lol
Your right about the pistol I was over excited to see some new weapons, but i've honestly never seen any crashed ships poi before (i know the ship parts are vanilla).

Im all for a new story line and extra content.......BUT.......are we just gonna forget they attack us on sight and just lay down and help them? Maybe we're helping the part of their society that arent Zealots...
This guy is a literal Bethesda npc
really want Starfield to succeed!
1) (big) handcrafted maps for all future big DLCs
2) interesting AND attractive new companions
3) better NPC behaviour (day / night routines..)
4) NO MORE MOD DESTROYING, DUE TO UPDATES & PATCHES
5) pls fix the 3rd person camera (its such a downgrade from Fallout 4.., why!?.. pls modders help out), besides other still known issues (lip sync of Robin!?..its still broken on Xbox)
That being it was used to be lazy rather than used with any skill or actual effort.
They are, actually. Look at the polygon count and compare them with other modern games if you want objective data.
Starfield's NPC heads have around 40,000 triangles, while TLOU pt 2, which is known for having good graphics, only has around 20,000 for the main character.
I have not been able to find any data about the polygon count of NPC heads in Cyberpunk, but it probably not that different from Starfield.
>The AI Generated NPCs have the same problem as the AI Generated everything else.
There is no "AI generated content" in the game. None.
@@Augusto9588 Dude, Bethesda LITTERALLY said they used AI in the Procedural Generation. A Procedural Generation Program IS a basic AI.
And comparing TLOU2's graphics isn't helping your case any since it looked worse than the first one which was a PS3 game like Skyrim. I think you just have a thing for low quality character models.

Pretty sure I saw Elon in there. 😅
If you can't get the zealots reinstated and then take them to lead House Va'ruun, and then conquer settled space a la Nuka Cola raiders in Fallout 4, I will be disappointed. Some of these npcs seem kinda soft. In the base game, even the pirate faction is weak.
Agreed. Like joining pirates does fuckign nothing and joining the space marines or whatever is the only way to go forward in a "right" direction. So fucking dumb.
12:06 im pretty sure that gun is in the base game
I originally got it for pc, but it froze every 5 minutes. I ended up buying it for my xbox. (Probably the most expensive game I've played lol). Not sure if they fixed the PC issues or not. I will wait to see what everyone else says but will probably buy the DLC. I wish they'd add the option for skipping the main quest like in elder scrolls.
