- Saw this ammo when looking for ammo. It was cheap thought it was going to be varmint hunting junk, but I looked up what the bullet was made out of and thought it would be worth testing it.

Did you notice any sealant on either end?
I didn't see any from looking at my phone screen. Which is a little weird because at SGAMMO they have Norma MLE .223 64 grain BSB bonded solid base, somewhat of an FBI load clone and heres the description from SGAMMO:
"64gr Bonded Solid Base projectile Norma Precision Brass Case Nickel plated Staked Primer Flash Suppressed anti fouling powder, Sealed and waterproofed Case Mouth, and Primer Precision Loaded for extreme accuracy, reliability, and consistency Muzzle Velocity: 2,535 fps in 11.5” Colt Carbine. (Will achieve higher velocities in longer barrels)"
I wonder why they didnt give similar specs to this 50 grain tsx?
I didn't notice any sealant. The nickle plated cases would probably would jack up the price. I need to look into some of that ammo when I have some money saved up. The 50gr. TSX Norma is pretty reliable for the price I paid for it. I'll be working on a gel test vid on the ammo
I have a few boxes of this. I would love to see what a ballistic gel test would look like
I'll have to try to make some. If not I'll have to buy the clear stuff.
I bought some of these a while ago luckily only 100rnds.. I am not happy with velocity as it was stated as 3400fps.. I have m193 that shoots faster than this stuff...
I bought a couple boxes of this off of Kirammo and am wondering if I should buy more. You wouldn't happen to have a level 3 plate you could fire that at or perhaps a spare 16" block of gel you have laying around. 16" barrel naturally. Just wondering how this would fare against a Suburban full of goons...if ya know what I mean
Damn 3k is slow for a 50gr
It's also .223
Out of a 16 inch barrel not so.... Reference is @3400fps 24 inch barrel. I would have expected sth like 3130 with the used barrel
