I chronograph ammo that I'm interested in like 5.45x39 and .223 Remington/5.56x45. I also occasionally look at AK mags.

I Had some requests to test Norma MLE .223 50gr Barnes TSX in Ballistic Gel. I've wanted to do some ballistic gel tests for a while now, but finding a inexpensive mold was an issue . Tried my best to make it to FBI specifications after 3 videos I shot where the gelatin was made with the wrong ratio and not seeing if it was calibrated.

It reminded me of SIG Sauer's 6.8x51 Hybrid ammo. NovX 5.56x45 NATO 55gr Pentagon offers very good characteristics: light weight and very good velocities. This might be something to look into if you collect odd, interesting, or rare ammo. If No...

Why do u have earmuffs it’s a suppressor, I have suppressors and my ears don’t even ring with it on my rock river 308
pretty sure that bullet easily breaks the sound barrier still, could definitely ring your ears if the bullet itself is fast enough
It does take a lot of the edge off, but it's still as loud as a very obnoxious power tool.
@ bro no it’s not.
Is this asbestos or fiberglass? I know it is phenolic resin but what is the fiber fill?
From what I believe it's kinda a spongy fiberglass filler instead of the swath fiberglass used in AG-4S magazines.
Very surprising results compared to my cheap AR. I have a PSA kit and it loves these 40 gr Sigs. I might have to make a video on that considering I don't see many videos about the round at all. Thanks for the video!
That's good about the SIG Sauer 40gr. The accuracy portion is done when I'm shooting over the chronograph so I'm usually more focused on the numbers. I'm clearly no Henry from 9 Hole Reviews.
You dont need gloves on to handle ammo
It's sharp. His fingers 💅 are delicate.
I sure miss this stuff. Barnaul also made a 65gr match cartridge and a copper-jacketed range friendly bullet loaded cartridge as well that were available through Wolf and Bear ammunition.
I tried to locate some 65gr Silver Bear.
Is that a hollow point in a clip of 5.56 advertised as military grade. That a war crime
A gun vid with guts theme goes crazy
It's very versatile
I use 53 grain V-max with good results. Only problem with this rifle ya can't use the mag for ELD's in 75 grain ya got to load 1 at a time. :-(
I don't know if Russia is using ak 19 in the Ukraine invasion, but if it is , Ukraine will capture and use ak 19
I doubt they would use the AK-19 in Ukraine. The Russians would retrofit the accessories introduced with the AK-19 to the AK-12 and AK-12M1.
I get extremely tight groups with the Fort Scott Munitions 5.56 62gr Brass rounds out of my Mossberg MVP Flex 20" barrel bolt action rifle. Have you considered trying a different grain weight with your firearms? The have 5.56 in 40gr, 55gr, 62gr (Copper and Brass), and 70gr.
I filmed 40gr, 70gr already will probably publish in 2025. I have 55gr to film. I'll try some of it on Ballistic gel hopefully sooner than later.
Sounds good. I look forward to watching them.
Interesting stuff. I'd love to see G9 Defense's 54gr 5.56 round in gel. I have their 80gr EHPs in my 9mm's and it great stuff.
I'll look into that.

Getting a “used” brand-new SLR 104 and wanted some non-corrosive ammo to put through it. Have you had any problems with this particular Russian made brand. I would usually buy Tula for my 7.62 ak’s. Thanks.
I don't believe so, but check the bore with a good flash light. The primer sealant is a bit obnoxious though. Congrats on the SLR 104
@ Will do and thanks 👍
It look like you shot the barrel out or you shot the inside of the silencer out
Barrel is fine and the silencer is fine
Did you have to do any mods for it to take the circle ten mags?
Yes. The circle ten mags need to be filed on the top front part of the magazine to fit the front trunnion, because there wasn't enough material removed.
@@MisplacedArms I have a bunch of other aks that take the circle tens so I am going to be looking to modify the saiga to accept the mags not the other way around. Hopefully that isnt difficult to do.
@@88kar88 I don't want to modify my magazines. The guy that worked on my saiga removed some material(still not enough) from the front trunnion so a few magazines fit, and others don't. He said he didn't a good enough sample size of mags. Be careful since it's an important part.
Where one projectile gets spent, another gives birth... in a pumpkin! Spooky scary eyeball 👀
That's why they're called freedom seeds
What kinda groups did you hold with these at 100 yards?
Not great. Around 4MOA
Niceeeee

В который раз напишу - прекрасный Вепрь. Жаль, что таких больше не делают. Спасибо за видео!
I knew Molot was sold to Kalashnikov, but I didn't know they stopped making VEPR rifles
Appreciate your review! What in your experience are the most precise ammo in terms of velocity consistancy?
Mk. 262 mod-1 c
@@MisplacedArms Thanks!
5.56x39 ?
yeah it kinda looks like 5.56x45
Did you notice any sealant on either end? I didn't see any from looking at my phone screen. Which is a little weird because at SGAMMO they have Norma MLE .223 64 grain BSB bonded solid base, somewhat of an FBI load clone and heres the description from SGAMMO: "64gr Bonded Solid Base projectile Norma Precision Brass Case Nickel plated Staked Primer Flash Suppressed anti fouling powder, Sealed and waterproofed Case Mouth, and Primer Precision Loaded for extreme accuracy, reliability, and consistency Muzzle Velocity: 2,535 fps in 11.5” Colt Carbine. (Will achieve higher velocities in longer barrels)" I wonder why they didnt give similar specs to this 50 grain tsx?
I didn't notice any sealant. The nickle plated cases would probably would jack up the price. I need to look into some of that ammo when I have some money saved up. The 50gr. TSX Norma is pretty reliable for the price I paid for it. I'll be working on a gel test vid on the ammo
@@MisplacedArms Please please please do the gel test. Also do something like a watermelon so we can see the hydrostatic shock. I just picked up 6 more boxes of this stuff and a 18" Aero Precision fluted 223 wylde barrel to replace the 16" 5.56 on it currently. Hopefully I can get out a shot a bit soon but I haven't really bothered since I don't have a good scope on this one (just a ceylee Wolf2 green dot) Prolly gonna pic up an arken 1-8x lpvo for it at christmas and see how she groups.
@@jackedburton7639, I'm working on some gel tests. I also tested the Norma 50gr in some watermelon and pumpkins this year. Melon Blastin' Part 1 (5: 35), Melon Blastin' Part 2 (2: 18) and the last two videos I published are the Pumpkin ones.
Hmm yeah, a little under powered, soft shooting though!
I have some amount of it
People say “why do you need an AR15” if you walked into a gun store and saw this rifle next to a $500 AR15 people most likely would buy the more affordable rifle

buying it off the Far Cry 2 computer
I thought I remember Red Army Standard had heavy 69gr loads before too.
I got some of that perhaps
I have a few boxes of this. I would love to see what a ballistic gel test would look like
I'll have to try to make some. If not I'll have to buy the clear stuff.
Wolf ammo fucking sucks. It constantly jams my AK while Tula and Tela run flawlessly.
Whatever keeps you shooting
I bought a couple boxes of this off of Kirammo and am wondering if I should buy more. You wouldn't happen to have a level 3 plate you could fire that at or perhaps a spare 16" block of gel you have laying around. 16" barrel naturally. Just wondering how this would fare against a Suburban full of goons...if ya know what I mean
I don't have the plates laying around, but the gel tests are interesting. Oddly consistent
