Do Bronx got clipped but he always does, and gets BACK immiediately to attacking and pressure. He walked Poirier down the minutes up till the choke, at one point it looked like DP was surprised of the toughness of do bronx, big mental defeat when you go all out and just cant get the guy out and he just keeps comin back. What a pace. He is elite everywhere the fight goes. True champ!
Yeah thats the thing, you cant go backwards against olives if you dont have solid striking defence and wrestling, dustin is good striker, but he eats lotta shots in every fight and his toughness saves him, but i was surprised with his takedown defence, he didnt get takendown even once, at the end it didnt matter since olives choked him out standing, but you have to push charles backwards cus he is quite bad at going backwards, he went backwards against chandler in total amount of 20-30 seconds, and got clipped twice and got almost knocked out in one of them. I would bet on justin gaethje if he had and bjj at all, other than a lucky punch im not sure how justin is going to win the fight lol, and unless islam has a better ground game or if he can implement some kind of ground and pound to put charles out of his game, he doesnt have power to hurt charles(i mean he obviously has some, but if a guy eats overhand right from fuckin chandler and gets clipped clean by dustin and comes back up, i dont think islams striking possesses any threat), and other than islam and justin i legit cant see anyone to beat charles other than maybe arman which im extremely excited for his rise to the top, he fought islam and kinda nullified islams wrestling in the first 2 rounds before he gassed out, and he is a much better scrambler than islam, so i dont think olives is gonna be able to take him down or take his back in any way, and dude has power aswell. We ll see, but for now im on board with charles, such a great guy

I don't agree, I have a lot of experience in fights, obviously not at the pro level. But I know a lot of people and trained with some mma fighters. Anyways, an opponents toughness is rarely mentally debilitating to people. Myself included. Somebkdy moving forward and taking all my shots wouldn't ever bother me. But gassing out on the other hand is very mentally tough and sometimes your opponents power as welk
Massive fan of Dustin, was sad to see him lose this fight but was happy at the same time for Charles. Absolutely deserving of his position as champ, hope he gets the win next fight.

Oliveira's dream fight is Poirier. When he became the champ he said the fight with Poirier is the fight that needs to happen. He's posting fanmade posters in Instagram of Poirier vs Oliveira a couple of times. The last time is before he fought Ferguson and the older posts are Oliveira vs Poirier during their featherweight days.
He's even rooting for Poirier on the Conor rematch saying that Dustin is gonna win easily and fight him next, But on the trilogy he lean towards Conor more and even Predicted a KO. Afterall the fight happened, Congratulations to both guys.

@@matheusmoraes6252 Maybe. But i would love to see him abuse his range advantage and manipulate Gaethje's reach. By Abusing his range he can evade Leg kicks without even checking them, but easier said than done. He can do the Poke and Out strategy with those long jabs and front kicks then rip/damage Gaethje apart.
In the Poirier fight he likes to Thai Clinch and throw an Elbow/Knee. He's stopping Poirier's flurry by resetting the pace with a clinch and big strike before the break.
This man's striking is real good. He aint gonna slug and have a war with Gaethje. He's gonna use his brain and become smarter than that. People are saying that his KO Against Chandler is a lucky punch. But its just a Check Hook which is a BASIC BOXING TECHNIQUE that's well timed and setup.
