How can one become so emotionally attached to a movie and its characters? Love it. This movie has a special place in my heart. When Johnny and Dally died, I burst into tears. I have yet to read the book but I'm so excited to. Just gotta find myself a boyfriend like Dally ❤😊

All of them needed to hear Johnny say his last words he will forever be missed by the gang and so will Dally. First time i read the book I only got attached to Johnny, but there was something about the movie that got me attached to both Johnny and Dally to the point where i was balling my eyes out when they both died. Stay gold for them at all times. Love yourself you are perfect just the way you are.❤❤

Think about it…. Ponyboy’s only fourteen but he’s seen so much happen in his life. First it’s his parents dying, then he had to deal with the reality that was he could be placed in foster care with Soda if it weren’t for Darry stepping in and taking them in so he wouldn’t be separated from them. As if that isn’t bad enough, he has to watch his brothers work their butts off white trying to make his parents proud as the only brother still in school and in the lower class. While he has Johnny, Dally, Two-Bit, Steve, and his brothers, he has to watch them go through their own trauma at their homes not being able to do anything about it. He has to deal with his strained relationship with Darry when at its breaking point, forces him to become a part of a murder scene that would change him and Johnny. He has to run away scared Darry will shout at him again and lecture him. Right when he thinks he and Johnny have never been closer, he has to watch him die from his injuries due to the fire leading to Dally’s sucide even he knew he was asking for. How would you feel a child his age and have to go through losing your parents on the same night, only a couple years later, lose his closest friends both also on the same night within hours of each other. 😔
