Yes the producer packs on the iOS version are now on Mac. Although they’ve changed a few maps on the Chinese Percussion kit so I’ve had to change existing recorded MIDI for the kit, and I’m also having a problem where drum instruments either completely drop out or suddenly become very quiet

Let me know whenever it occurs to GB to have a master channel with at least rudimentary means of final mix mastering. It's the only DAW in existence which lacks that. I have the basic iPad and Reaper on my Windows hi-end gaming laptop is my main DAW, but if I use GB, I old-school bounce the results via RCA cables (lol, but it works, and my stuff is 1 and 1/2- chord punk/garage rock which sounds best with minimal processing anyway, so all good) from one interface to the other, then I use the fave plugins I have there, my Ferox tape, my Voxengo Elephant master limiter, and usually Reaper's saturator, and a master channel strip which I can't remember the name of, "Over"-something, I think. I only see it twice or more a week for over 5 years now. Oh, my aching 61-year-old, decomposing brain...
The update came out on the 19th I believe. If you click on GarageBand in the toolbar at the top of the screen and then click about, you’ll be able to see what version you’re on (this update is 10.4.4). If you want to download all of the sounds available to you in one go, again click GarageBand in the toolbar, hover your cursor over sound library and select download all available sounds.

My Garageband disconnected from my Soundcloud account with this new update & now when I try to re-connect it, after I hit "share" it brings up the Soundcloud login screen, then when I log in, it just says "redirecting" and never connects. Any ideas how to fix this?
Personally, I’m not really waiting for yet another bag of samples and loops, but I get the value it brings for many artists. I’ve since jumped into Logic and am pleased that iOS and macOS versions start to feel more and more like a real family. I’m using Ableton a lot less lately… but on the iPad Cubasis still has a decent pair of control and sounds. There are no bad DAWs these days.
my friend sent me a file from his GarageBand through email, but when I try to open it on mine, it says I need to update GarageBand. Then I try to update in system preferences or through App Store, And no update required! It just says "open"! WTH??? I have a Mac book pro 2020. my system software is updated as well!

Why can’t you update you mean? If you’re not seeing the update, search for GarageBand in the Mac App Store and you should see the update button where the get button usually is.

@@TheGaragebandGuide you can't hover over the library or updates. It is grayed out (like non functional) . I remember a few months ago there was some sort of instruments upgrade as well and there was a problem because the licensing was for a specific setup on this laptop.
You’d need to update via the Mac App Store, not from inside GarageBand itself. Open the Mac App Store, search for GarageBand and you should see the update button on its store page. If your Mac can run 10.4.2, then it can run this version too.

I cant use the AU sampler and my plugins after updating to this new version.They open up but there's no more graphical display for plugins and for AU sampler I can’t load in my own sounds. If anyone knows a solution let me know. Thank You.

Why oh why does GarageBand 10.4.4 require Big Sur? My Mac can only be upgraded to Catalina. I mean, sure, I'm planning on getting a new Mac next year but I would have loved to have gotten the latest GarageBand. I guess I'm just going to have to suck it up with GarageBand 10.3.5 until I get my new Mac.

I found a slight annoying feature of GarageBand using it on my imac----it doesn't actually work without an internet connection----so when I'm cut off from my social media on my HP pc I can't do work in garageband---another good reason to never buy apple again ! I had to force quit garageband just to shut down my imac---to force quit a program that never actually opened---kudos to apple genius here---real marketing savvy that ! Goodbye apple !

My problem is that Garageband never supplies any loops in 3/4, or 6/8 time. There is a lot more to music than just 4/4 time.

Seriously this is a massive, lazy oversight. If they had this, it would be really worthwhile to build projects in GarageBand.

What steps have you taken so far? Its usually just plug & play. Are you saying your computer is not seeing the interface or are you getting no sound?
