So true. I have this East Asian ship just 10mins away from me, and they sell great noodles, Korean, Singaporean, Malaysian, and Japanese. I'd eat those any day opposed to Pot Noodles.
I think they went looking for noodles from a British food company as that sounds like a local company. There may have been other brand names that were part of food companies outside of Britain like Maruchan or Nissin which in the US have a pretty mediocre domestically made product too. If you want good instant noodles in the US you pretty much pay a lot more for imported Korean or Japanese noodles at a more upscale grocer with a good Asian food section or visit a specialty Asian grocer.

Tip for pot noodles: -Don’t tear the lid fully off, use it to cover while it’s “cooking” -Tap the pot so the “seasoning” isn’t on top -Don’t go for the worst flavours😂 {mix in the sauce as well}
I can relate the taste, I still remember when I eat Australia instant noodle, before the Indomie taking over asian section on our supermarket, thanks god now we have so many good instant noodle .

"Try it"하며 건네던 남친... 한국 라면이 맛있는 거기도 했지만, 영국 라면은 읔... 달고 밍밍하고... 무슨 말로도 표현 못할 맛이었어요 ㅠㅠ 읔, 또 생각나려 하네... ㅠㅠ 다른 나라 음식을 이리 말하는 건 실례일 수 있지만, 남친도 "hurrible"이라던 그 맛... 다시는 경험하고 싶지 않은 맛이에요... 😱
As a loyal fan of asian cup noodles, I genuinely couldn’t get through even 1/3 of a pot noodle the first (and last) time I tried it...absolutely cannot compare to the asian ones
Honestly I really like pot noodle, there's a sense of nostalgia when I eat them. I wouldn't recommend the flavours they've tried. The most basic flavours are the chicken and mushroom or the beef and tomato which are my favourite!
I feel sorry for you cuz us Asians have the best ramens/ramyuns/instant noodles flavours around here enough to make a worldwide challenge....... And then there's British ones. I really wish I could've post you some of ours to stop you from suffering😂😂😂😂
Go to asian supermarket and get any instant noodle. Indomie mie goreng is a safe and addictive choice. You can even buy dried noodle and cook it your own. It'll come off better than that disaster. Garlic oil, etc.
You should try indonesian cup noodles. the classic 'popmie' is really good, then come another brand that also pretty good. I never dislike the cup noodle i have bought so far
coming from malaysia, i've had my fair share of good instant noodles. as a student studying in the uk, i'm ashamed to say that for the first few weeks i'm here, i've only eaten pot noodles almost everyday. the best flavour though is the chicken one

Not all British pot noodles are bad. That brand is just exceptionally cheap and poor quality. There has been a resurgence in the gourmet instant meal market here in Britain in the past few years, including pot noodles. A lot are simply imported from Asia, some are made in Britain, but they actually use very fresh vegetables and good quality meat dried well, along with great flavours. I've been very relieved, as a cripple I need to eat microwave meals very regularly along with a supply of long lasting meals for emergencies, pot noodles last 18 months which is perfect. Nissin Soba, Kabuto noodles, and Oyakata noodles are some of my favourites, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. Also with regards to pot noodle brand, they would taste a lot better if left longer than suggested for cooking. With Super Noodles, can't compete at all but reducing the water demanded is a big step forwards. Also the curry flavours tend to be the easiest to eat. Still, once you try the good noodles its very hard to go back. I'm incredibly pleased to not have to suffer terrible food every day with the recent move towards high quality instant and microwave meals.
Not saying pot noodles r good especially the curry but u know u have to mix in the sachet too like with the ketchup u just let it sit on top, u have to mix it. It's w bit more bearable that way
I would drop it here Best instant noodle is Indomie from Indonesia. They have so many variations of flavour. As for the cup noodle, Indonesia also have Pop Mie and probably Migelas (it has the same idea with that mugshots).
Chilli chicken super noodles are honestly delicious. Lowkey feel like Josh looked for the worst flavours possible bc idk anyone who eats bacon super noodles.
the british instruction is to pull the lid all the way off. it told them to "rip the lid off" 0:40 so they did as the brand intends for their product to be consumed. that's why ollie requested to leave the lid on in the later pot noodle cup because they do know from asian instant noodles... to open halfway, pour hot water in, close and let cook. then eat remember Rev Chris at the korean store? his first instinct was also to rip the whole lid off because it's what they're used to. before josh was able to tell him not to tear it all off . resolution: they taped up half the lid to cook the noodles

런던에 살 때, 한인마트에서 구매한 한국 라면을 끓여주니 완전... 숨도 안쉬고 먹던 내 영국인 남친... '우리나라 라면이 워낙 맛있으니까'하고 기분 좋았는데... 사다논 한국라면들을 다먹고 난 뒤, aldi에서 사온 영국라면을 먹는데... 냄새부터가 달짝지근하고... 면발은 힘이 없어보여서 안 먹고 있었더니... "Try it"하며 건네던 남친... 한국 라면이 맛있는 거기도 했지만, 영국 라면은 읔... 달고 밍밍하고... 무슨 말로도 표현 못할 맛이었어요 ㅠㅠ 읔, 또 생각나려 하네... ㅠㅠ 다른 나라 음식을 이리 말하는 건 실례일 수 있지만, 남친도 "hurrible"이라던 그 맛... 다시는 경험하고 싶지 않은 맛이에요... 😱
As a loyal fan of asian cup noodles, I genuinely couldn’t get through even 1/3 of a pot noodle the first (and last) time I tried it...absolutely cannot compare to the asian ones

Honestly I really like pot noodle, there's a sense of nostalgia when I eat them. I wouldn't recommend the flavours they've tried. The most basic flavours are the chicken and mushroom or the beef and tomato which are my favourite!

Go to asian supermarket and get any instant noodle. Indomie mie goreng is a safe and addictive choice. You can even buy dried noodle and cook it your own. It'll come off better than that disaster. Garlic oil, etc.

You should try indonesian cup noodles. the classic 'popmie' is really good, then come another brand that also pretty good. I never dislike the cup noodle i have bought so far

coming from malaysia, i've had my fair share of good instant noodles. as a student studying in the uk, i'm ashamed to say that for the first few weeks i'm here, i've only eaten pot noodles almost everyday. the best flavour though is the chicken one

영국인이 영국 음식으로 이러니 딱히 뭐라 할 말이 없긴 한데 조리법을 제대로 안 따른 거 아닐까 싶긴 함. 내 돈 주고 사먹을 정도는 아니긴 하지만 flat 옮길 때 한 번 씩 환영한다고 팟누들이나 기타 싼 먹을 것들이 방에 놓여져 있는 경우가 있었는데 내 기억 상으론 저런 표현할 정도로 맛 없진 않았음

@@bihajinha1082 pretty much, it's like eating cardboard that has really crappy flavouring. And sometimes the flavouring doesn't all mix in so you get these horrible clumps of powder... It's not good.

Not all British pot noodles are bad. That brand is just exceptionally cheap and poor quality. There has been a resurgence in the gourmet instant meal market here in Britain in the past few years, including pot noodles. A lot are simply imported from Asia, some are made in Britain, but they actually use very fresh vegetables and good quality meat dried well, along with great flavours. I've been very relieved, as a cripple I need to eat microwave meals very regularly along with a supply of long lasting meals for emergencies, pot noodles last 18 months which is perfect. Nissin Soba, Kabuto noodles, and Oyakata noodles are some of my favourites, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. Also with regards to pot noodle brand, they would taste a lot better if left longer than suggested for cooking. With Super Noodles, can't compete at all but reducing the water demanded is a big step forwards. Also the curry flavours tend to be the easiest to eat. Still, once you try the good noodles its very hard to go back. I'm incredibly pleased to not have to suffer terrible food every day with the recent move towards high quality instant and microwave meals.
My friend said it once before:" Never trust any instant noodles that are without Chinese, Korean nor Japanese on them." hahahaha
Then you haven't tried southeast Asian noodles! Indomie, Laksa and Maggie taste really good!

Not saying pot noodles r good especially the curry but u know u have to mix in the sachet too like with the ketchup u just let it sit on top, u have to mix it. It's w bit more bearable that way

Best instant noodle is Indomie from Indonesia. They have so many variations of flavour.
As for the cup noodle, Indonesia also have Pop Mie and probably Migelas (it has the same idea with that mugshots).
I live in Indonesia. Indomie here and in other countries taste different tho ;)

Not supposed to pull off fully the foil lid. Suppose to use the foil as a lid to keep the heat in the pot noodle. Lol
the british instruction is to pull the lid all the way off. it told them to "rip the lid off" 0:40 so they did as the brand intends for their product to be consumed.
that's why ollie requested to leave the lid on in the later pot noodle cup because they do know from asian instant noodles... to open halfway, pour hot water in, close and let cook. then eat
remember Rev Chris at the korean store? his first instinct was also to rip the whole lid off because it's what they're used to. before josh was able to tell him not to tear it all off . resolution: they taped up half the lid to cook the noodles
