Epoxy Resin Lamp with Swimming Fishes | Diy Resin Art

Hello! In this video, I am sharing a lamp that I designed by combining wood and epoxy. While it adds warmth to your room with its cylindrical design, it offers aesthetic elegance with its olive wood base and epoxy details. The algae and the fish I prepared with 3D printing add a unique atmosphere to the lamp. It turns it into an artistic work rather than just a lighting tool. You can do it without a vacuum machine, but you have to be very careful about bubbles.
You should mix the epoxy very slowly by hand. If you can achieve minimum bubbles during mixing, you can achieve a good result.
If you do not have experience with epoxy resins, you should start with smaller sized works.
Epoxy resins are not simple chemicals as they seem; when not used correctly, they can cause heat and many problems.

wish I could add the photo of one of these I just made, we think alike, only I don't have fancy tools so I hand sanded then dipped and it is sitting on a bought wood LED, but they are so alike and I just spotted this, never watched you before. lol 2 people can think alike! mine also glows in the dark at the top, kid in me.

Yes, people can think of similar things, if you have manual dexterity and patience, you do not need to have fancy tools, you can gradually obtain the tools as you progress over time. I obtained these tools slowly over about 3 years.
I determined my needs over time based on the work I did, and when my budget was suitable, I obtained the tool I needed.

I use deep pour resin.
5-7 cm is the casting thickness per layer.
If you learn to work with epoxies, you will see that you can perform deeper castings by lowering the ambient temperature.

I've been experimenting with this.. minus the vacuum machine and everything past 6:44 hah. That quickly moves it from hobby crafting to a whole other level. Have you tried leaving the main interior hollow and adding some sort of motor to get movement? I don't know if it would break the visuals or if the inside cavity is clear enough it would still look like it's inside the epoxy but able to add movement

If you want to have movement in the interior, you can try this by putting it in a fan instead of epoxy. It is almost impossible to leave the inside empty in epoxy. Even if it is possible, it will be difficult to restore the glass lustre.

I noticed that uv resin didn’t completely go .i made that mistake once it does colour but you got to apply quick .im assuming that mark on it was from that refill with the clear uv ? Turned lovely and clear though ,it does make a big difference that vacuum chamber 👍👍

Yes, the UV resin did not go completely where it was supposed to go, I did not realize this.
If I had noticed this, I would have waited a little longer and applied the UV light.

De rien, bon travail, à mesure que vous apprenez à connaître les résines et à comprendre comment les utiliser, vous pouvez facilement réaliser toutes sortes de projets. Pour cela, il faut s’entraîner et se donner du temps.
Remarque : Vous devez bien ajuster votre température ambiante pour éviter que l'époxy ne surchauffe. ;)

@@atasoy OK merci pour le conseil j ai déjà commencé à faire quelques bijoux et c est vrai que mais premier bijoux on eter compliqué mais maintenant je les réussi mieu et j aimerai faire de plus gros projets c et pour sa que je vous et demander quel resine vous utilisez car moi je prend la résine epodex qui et vraiment pas mal mais assez cher .... mais je croi que la résinin Mass pro et encore plus cher

Mass pro est moins cher dans mon pays par rapport aux prix dans votre pays, mais comme il est importé de Turquie, cela vous coûtera plus cher.
Vous n'aurez pas trop de problèmes avec les bijoux, mais soyez prudent avec les projets plus importants. Lorsque l'époxy chauffe, votre moule peut s'effondrer, l'époxy peut devenir trop chaud et jaunir, des fissures, des bulles et des effondrements peuvent se produire, ce qui peut provoquer votre projet soit une poubelle.
Créez des projets plus vastes en les augmentant étape par étape. Ne faites pas de trop gros projets à la fois. Si vous procédez étape par étape, vous apprendrez à connaître la résine et façonnerez vos projets en conséquence.

Eğer kalıptan çıkmış hali hoşunuza giderse neden olmasın. Ama bu şekilde hazırladığımız kalıplarda eğri büğrü, kalıbın ek yerleri gibi bir çok sorunlu bölge bulunmakta, işledikten sonra tekrar eski parlaklığı için zımpara ve polisaj işlemi gerekmekte.

Hocam Bu sızıntı olmaması için ne yapıyorsunuz ? Bir de alt zemine koli bandı kullanıyorsunuz yapışmamaya ve sızıntıya sebep olmuyor mu ? Pipetlere bir döküm yaptım kenarlardan hep sızdırdı bant zemin olarak sıkıntılı geliyor bana yada ince bir noktası var montaj sırasında atıyorsunuz 😂

Tam olarak yaşadığınız sızıntı problemi nedir bilmiyorum. Bant kısmından mı kaçak var yoksa sıcak silikon kısmından mı?
Alt zeminde koli bandı kullanıyorum maliyet açısından uygun oluyor. Koli bandını uyguladıktan sonra plastik spatula veya ahşap benzeri bir nesne ile banda zarar vermeyecek şekilde hafif baskı uygulayarak iyice yapışmasını sağlayın.
Sıcak silikon uygulamasında ise iki kat uygulama yapıyorum, videoda uygularken gördüğünüz ilk katı silikonu kendime doğru çekerek değil tabancanın burnuna doğru ilerleterek uyguluyorum, bu sayede sıcak silikonu birleşme noktasına iyice yedirmiş oluyorum. Daha sonra üzerinden ikinci katı geçerek tamamlıyorum.
Evet videoyu uzatmamak için montajda attığım yerler var.
Elimden geldiği kadar kesitler halinde videoyu kısa tutmaya çalışıyorum.

@@atasoy çok teşekkür ediyorum hocam cevap verdiğiniz için. pipetleri koyup ilk denememde hızlı yapıltırıcıyı kenarlarına döküp aktivatörünü sıktım 15dk sonra döktüm sızdı sonra normal silikon ile denedim 2 saat sonra sıktım sızdı, bugün kitaplık arkalığı kestim iç kısımlarını bantladım sonra hazırladığım şekle göre sıcak silikon ile yapıştırarak ilerledim en son ek yerlerine silikon sıktım taş gibi oldu 3 saat sonra 500ml döküm yaptım ama sızdı tekrar sıcak silikon bastım olmadı peçete ile sıcak silikon yaptım 100ml’ye yakını sızdı yoğunlaşma başladığı için sızma durdu. Videolarınızı tekrar tekrar izledim silikonun bandı vakumlarcasına yapıştığını gördüm ama enteresan şekilde kullandığım koli bandı 3 yapıştırıcıyıda kolay çıkacak şekilde yapıyor

There are no scratches on the surface of the product. Since the paint of the fish inside was affected by the resin, there was some paint leakage. I think you can see this leakage.
