This is the video I’ve been searching for for over a year. I had someone make my ar compliant but I didn’t think to ask “how do you remove the rear pin?” I had no idea what system was used but your video helped me out tremendously. Thank you
Perfect! Thanks a lot. The factory website vids are woefully unhelpful on this topic. I think some websites assume more basic knowledge than some perfectly new people have. Good job, thank you!
I was debating on getting a king pin because I was wondering how I would take it out so I can't clean my rifle. Turns out, the people who made this as clearly one step ahead of me. Nothing to worry about lol
Thanks for this video man. I’m a newbie with rifles & I just got my first AR15 with the juggernaut hellfire kit but I had it replaced with a king pin & AR maglock gen 4 today. Just wanted to ask if you have any issue removing the magazine with the bolt locked back. In the AR mag lock/king pin videos, it shows that the AR mag lock will work even if the bolt is locked to the rear. Mine works without a magazine but once a mag is inserted & the bolt is locked to the rear, the king pin will separate the upper & lower but the AR maglock will not release the magazine anymore. Someone told me it could be the magazine I’m using (hexmag & pmag). Just wanted to ask you if you ever had the same issue with this system. Thanks & God bless!
@@Michael_78 try putting a little fun oil. If you can get it out I would sand the pin a little. It should turn easily. The difficult part is using your nail to turn it.
This is kind of an annoying thing to have to do just to clean, I have a Juggernaut Tactical kit and m wondering if that much easier to remove kingpin would work just as easily? I assume it would but the ARMaglock site says only their kinglins will work however they do sell several other brands on their site as kit options so I am assuming they just want to sell their stock items which makes sense but I haven't had a response as to the Juggernaut kingpin from them lol. Guess I'll just try it out and see.
Yeah no one talks about this and I feel it’s very important to know. Use the force of the rear takedown pin to slightly push the detent out of the side. It’ll give you enough to where you can get your nail underneath.

I will never understand why CA wants to make it so hard for us to defend ourselves
Remember, making a gun harder to control or use is for your own safety.
@@xxdinorabbitxxschannel5083 haha right
What if you pulled it without lining it up and the pin gets stuck?
You make it look so easy. Mine will not turn at all.

I need help my detent fell off how do I put it back in !?
Did you lose your detent?
When you purchased your AR from Riflegear, did it already have the kingpin and maglock installed by Riflegear?
It had a maglock. I believe it was the patriot lock. Very difficult to use.
Have you put the kingpin on the VR80 to see if it works with the VR80
Yup. Works just like on an AR. Make sure you get the one for the AR10
I can’t get my finger nail inside to grab that detent. Oh well

I just use the corner of my ID or a credit card. Works pretty well, and like the other guy said. Giving it pressure with the pin is key.
Thanks so much for this video.
