- I'm so glad Annie finally came out with a navy, I've been hoping she would! My dad's old filing cabinet was in storage so I thought I'd rescue it and see if painting it would help. The bottom drawer was very rusted, but the paint covered the rust beautifully and nobody knows the better now! It sold in my store within a few days. What a great way to salvage old furniture! Chalkpaint is the best!

Awww you won’t believe this but she passed away last month from Covid 😢. However she never said anything to me and she had it for a couple years 🤷🏻♀️.
Oh wow, you’ll never believe this but my sweet mom just passed away on December 28th from covid! :( we are just heartbroken and still in shock! I started painting to help distract me. So sorry to hear about your friend. I feel for her family too no one understands unless they’ve been through it. it was awful with all the ups and downs of that virus. Well thanks for your reply. I guess I’ll just give it a try and paint it.

I didn’t. Just washed the piece and painted over it!
Give that six months and its going to look a right mess with all that rust coming through....
Sounds like you’ve had experience with that? I sold this piece and it’s been well over a year and haven’t heard a complaint from the customer.
@@SkiingCowCreations a little yes. Unless you're taking that rust way back it will always return. This can quite easily be fixed by applying some rust remover before painting. Do this and your furniture will look good and last a lot longer

Carefree painting to watch! ^_^ But I do wonder: don't the rusty bits start to grow, eventually, through the chalk paint? :O I have a few metal objects (actually, they are two candalabras) that I would love to paint with chalk paint. Both of them are somewhat visibly rusted; the rust having found its way through their coats of paint that they now have on. I have managed to sand it away, mostly, but still I have doubts. Will it make any sense to paint, only to have see them rust again? :O
There seems to be differing opinions about this matter: whether the rust will appear again through the chalk paint or not. And also: should one use primer or something, or maybe a rust-stopper of some sort?
That is a very good question, I sold this piece and I haven’t heard back any complaints 😬
@@SkiingCowCreations Ok, good to hear! So maybe I will give the chalk paint a go then. :) And eventually: you can never really know until you try something and see what happens. But thank you for your reply, I'm beginning to trust that there'll be no rust. :D And THAT was almost poetic. ^_^

Nope. A friend bought this piece from me, she hasn’t said anything negative, but I really should ask her how it’s holding up.
Audio is very low, very annoying.
Was looking forward to learning until loud music and no instructions. If I wanted this blasting music I’d turn on radio.
You thought this was blasting music? 😳 I don’t think you have the right video! I did another video where I thought maybe the music was too loud. At any rate I gave instructions throughout the video of what I was doing, and I myself prefer music to talking head videos. I know people don’t have the same taste in music and so I can’t please everybody!
