Here's "Never Can Say Goodbye" which was a hit for the Jackson 5. I first heard the disco Gloria Gaynor version, and then on UA-cam the Isaac Hayes version.
It actually took a lot of digging through different ideas to get the "flow" and the sound of "air" that is prevalent in the Jackson 5 version. When I stumbled on the open string voicings I knew I had the (or at least one) answer.

Spruce top, queensland maple on back & sides. The C's and Matons are similar. In all the Bangkok vids I play a CC. The CC Angel spruce top is similar to the axe in this vid. Thanks!!!

Thank-you Staffy...I did not want to give the wrong impression...I know who was first out of the two because I've followed and admired Adam for many years ... Adam teaches this stuff and Chapoid did an excellent rendition based upon Adam's arrangement I just wanted to know where it had gone ... though - sorry to be pedantic but actually Clifton Davis' was the first guys... let's never forget that eh?

I was just noticing that you were BENDING in front of a capo.
Any recommendations on capos that will allow this with out sticking the string sharp?
The capoleta is not a bridge. It allows you to bend. It just hold the bar,,, Like you would with your finger
