Hi Paul, I've been a fan of you and David Lanz' music since mid 1991, when I first discovered the Narada CD collection at the local music stores. My first CD was Desert Vision, followed by Natural States and Bridge of Dreams (as soon as it hit the shelves in '93). I have David's _Nightfall_ solo piano album and one or two Narada sampler CDs and Michael Gettel's _Skywatching_ album, in which you contributed the guitar parts. I also bought the Desert Vision and Natural States DVD It wasn't until 2011, I think - when I discovered you sold your music through your website and I ordered a copy of Oculus, Wonders, Televoid, Hells Canyon and about four years ago it was Sonoran Odyssey. Thank you for the invitation via email to sample Adventures in Space, I've downloaded it but have yet to sit down to listen to the songs. 🙂 I've seen this very video of your Mexico City performance several times on your UA-cam channel. At the time when you toured with David and Neal (my deepest sympathies for your loss) were there any plans to release this performance as a live album either on CD or VHS/LD/DVD? Is the rest of this concert's footage still available and do you roughly remember the set list? 😀

@MichaelGunnMusic That is the string patch on a Prophet VS. I've had that keyboard since 1987 and use it all the time. It is a favorite of Trent Reznor's, too. The patch on the DX7 is Celtic Harp and I think you are correct about Ray Lynch.
When I was just a teenager, I happened to first hear "Behing the Waterfall" on my local jazz station a few decades ago. The only way I could hear it was from an old cassette tape I had. Luckily I happened to listen to one of the internet radio stations and selected one of the early smooth jazz genres. I nearly freaked when I heard it because I never knew the name of the song or the artists when they played it long ago. I hurried and logged onto amazon and bought it. I was so happy that day saying to myself "Finally got my song!" I guess I had a Susan Lucci moment, lol. Anyways, thanks for making such a beautiful song. It forever stuck in my head, which I'm glad because now I can listen to it all I want and drift off to another world.
My story is similar. I had it recorded to a cassette tape when I was a teen. I remembered hearing the radio announcer say the name of the song was "Behind the Waterfall". After I listened to that tape recording for a year or so, I set to head out to the record store... yes we had those back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, and looked up the song. I found it on the Narada "Natural States" album and bought it immediately. Love it to this day! The picture of Paul and David on the back, they look almost like kids themselves!

Simply beautiful!
Thanks, Marsha.
These two created some of the most amazing songs ever! We own both of the VHS tapes and would put them on as our young kids played in the living room. I still get chills when listening to their albums. I would have loved to see them on concert!!! High time for a reunion CD!!! :)
Thanks, Al. I see you visited my website and sent a message.
The joy shown in your performance really is very beautiful. Love it! 👍
¡Merecido aplauso y reconocimiento! Gracias por obsequiarnos tan bella música.
durin the "boom" of Narada and Private Music relases from 1988 to 2001 I worked at a record store... "Natural States" was a huge sales success in México City. Im glad and proud you guys choosed to shoot a show here in my city. Thanks for sharing.
By the way, Im very interested in get the "Trapezoid" record, it was a Narada relase from 1990 I guess. does Narada stills selling that back catalogue??
more people needs to hear this master piece
Wow.... A live performance of one of the greatest instrumentals in a lifetime ! Breath takingly beautiful rendition . Thank you Paul .
You're welcome. I am so glad this concert was taped so I could share it here.
Have always loved this tune (tunes)... brings me back :-)
Thank you, Ken. Appreciate the comment.
Desert Rain is my favorite song!
Thanks for weighing in, Joey. The music business has really changed, hasn't it? EMI now owns the Narada catalog and the label is essentially in mothballs. Downloads are available but you have to look to places like ebay if you want a CD or vinyl.
@lochsalad Thanks for dropping by with the nice feedback, Kelly.
thanks Paul for sharing this live video for us
Bliss.Definitely one of my favourites of yours:I love it:not just watching you play but the feeling behind the music..it sounds so good and captures the waterfall so well.Really good to see and hear you playing again.
I was there as well!!!!!!!!! I can't believe this video exists about one of the most exciting nights in my life. This was my first concert EVER. I was 15 y/o 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I also remember they broadcasted this concert on TV later and I got to record it. For many years I dreamed of being a musician and your music was absolutely inspiring for me. I stopped listening to New Age and instrumental music and got into rock and jazz eventually. Never got to be a pro musician but it's been part of my life and I am a photographer now so no complaints. So many beautiful memories :D
Sando - Glad to know you were there and was your first concert. This was the best concert on that tour and grateful it was broadcasted. It was also wonderful to share the bill with Tingstad+Rumbel and David Arkenstone. 🎹 🎶 🎸 🤩
@@PaulSpeerMusic Dear Paul thank you so much for answering my comment. One good thing about social media is how it makes this kind of contact possible. It is such a great moment for me to receive such words from someone who's music was such an important part of my life for so many years. Thank you so much. ¡Muchas gracias!
@@justcallmesando You are most welcome and I appreciate your long time support of our music!
@jcferrer18 Thanks for sharing this regarding your relationship to the music when you were a child. Very cool.
Such successful sounds it's marvelous to listen n see you turn the best sound to my mind ears that make me respond to say.. nice smoothly put and full of passion.
Hermosa melodía
@MichaelGunnMusic That is the string patch on a Prophet VS. I've had that keyboard since 1987 and use it all the time. It is a favorite of Trent Reznor's, too.
The patch on the DX7 is Celtic Harp and I think you are correct about Ray Lynch.
Excelente señor son unos genios del arte
@@efrenruiz413 Muchas gracias, Efren. 🤩
¡MUCHISÍMAS GRACIAS!!! ....LANZ...
VERY BEAUTIFUL MUSIC 🎻🎼🎵💜GOD 💜BLESS YOU💜
Thank you.
+Allyson Chen Thank you for sharing your experiences with our music and also being a long time fan. David and I appreciate it.
David and I are glad to know you finally found it.
Los amo, los amo, simplemente los amo. que música tan especial.
Está hermosa melodía me dió paz cuando me hacían cesárea de mi 2do Bebé ahora una mujer de 32 años y recordé el momento de paz que senti
one of my favorite songs ever. ❤️
@TheZenRider1 Sorry to say we never worked up Sculptures to play live.... thanks for asking and your support over the years.
