    You saved me HOURS on this repair for my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee!
    Also, it may be in your video, but that's a Torx T50 for the seatbelt bolt (in a Jeep at least).

    Awesome video. Straight forward. Other channels I have hear about guys daily life and how he hates his mother-in-law before we get to the fixing. Don’t need to know what you plan on having for dinner, I’m just here to learn on how to take off a panel

    I am not very mechanically inclined, and this video was a lifesaver! Able to do it myself it took me about an hour, but if I had all the right tools on hand, it probably would’ve been a lot faster. Thank you so much!much also, I bought a Amazon version of the seat panel and both of the pushpins they included busted right away, so I just used a zip tie for that part.

    Followed every step exactly, worked great. The only thing that happened that was different was the top clip, in the middle, didn't come out. Broke it out and a new one came with the Amazon one. $16 dollars and done.
    Follow each step the same as the video.
    Thanks for this awesome video.

    Hi, great video as I must replace the broken seat switch cover on driver side and the broken seat track cover on the passenger side of our 2013 T&C. Question, what size Torx driver is is needed to R&R the seat belt attach bolt starting at 2:20 in the video?
    Thanks for the easy, informative videos!

      The Torx size is 50. I only had up to size 40 in my tool set, but found it at Auto Zone for $5.99.

    Thanks. I was looking for info on replacing a seatbelt. I damaged the plastic trim on the donor vehicle around the seat belt mount. I don't like damaging things even at the wrecker. It's a jerk move. I accidentally don't want to damage the trim on my car either.

    The problem I have is when I pried it out
    that clip pulled off of the cover. I was able
    to pull it out but after looking at it I'm not
    quite sure how it goes back on the cover.
    It has 2 teeth on each side. It look like they
    may have gone thru the plastic . Luckily
    I found a T50 torx bit laying around to get
    that seatbelt bolt off.

    This is the 2d time I’ve had to replace this skirt on my 2010 TC. The OEM part appears to be different, having some confusing reinforcements not shown in this video. It is definitely a poorly designed skirt as it will catch and bend as one scoots out of the vehicle. The result puts a lot of stress on the anchors and they break off. At $90 per it is frustrating deal with.

    I would like to replace this same panel on our 2014 Grand Caravan . All the websites I've looked at for replacement parts indicate it is for vehicles with leather seats. Ours has cloth. Will this part work for cloth seats?

    • @TRQ
      @TRQ  4 роки тому +1

      +Ken Molitor The part in this video fits your application, and the install should be the same or similar as long as you have power seats. Buy this part on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

    I searched on ebay and finally found a closeup
    of how the clip goes on. When It pulled off the
    teeth somehow were yanked out and and bent
    in the opposite direction of how they are suppose
    to go. I had to bend them back so they were pointing
    in toward the inside of the car.

      @TRQ  3 роки тому

      +kerry deshazo Thanks for watching! While the process will be the same, the part itself will only fit from 2011-2016. We do not carry one for your 2009 model at this time.

    As he put the belt behind the belt cover when he first took it off. So y didn't he do the same when he replaced the side cover.
    So he wouldn't have to undo the seat belt anchor. Hmmm.....................

      In the 2014 Chrysler Town and country I found it in the fuse box under the hood on the right hand side. J8 is the fuse that needs to be replaced.
