Strange to think that the Victorian era had ended just around 60 years before that restaurant opened, and that today’s equivalent would be opening an eatery with a 60s-theme...

In 2006 I was driven across Northern Ireland in the heaviest rain I can remember to eat at 'The best Fish Bar on the Island' so I was told. My host was making a special effort as it was my first time in this Beautiful Green though wet land.
After a VERY long coastal drive it was starting to get dark but we had finally arrived. The short sprint from car to door had already soaked me to the skin, so once inside I took off my coat and was delighted to see a cosy warm restaurant complete with a peat-fire and all within view of the crashing-sea.
With the intoxicating smell of the ocean tantalising my nostrils, a hungry me looked up at the menu-board behind the bar to read: 'Catch of the day: Steak and Kidney Pie'
In all fairness... the pie was wonderful as was my host.

I had better not share the rest of the tale or where I am sitting typing this, or you would doubtless further question my honesty... though in all fairness, not many have access to to an airship!
