Very proud of Vinny for sacrificing his $2 of UA-cam revenue to bring us uncensored moosic
While I can understand other streamers/UA-camrs/whatever the hell he is now turning on streamer mode, I really apprechiate Vinny keeping the music as is. I am not surprised he did it, honestly. His love for music is just that strong.
@@Outside998 copyright is a blight on youtube. I dont even blame vinny but god i hate every copyright segment when it comes up on his streams
@@Sleeprocket1 copyright segment?
@@paul-nj1ig you know when a copyrighted song comes on and hes singing dmca or something over it or muting it or putting something else on. Again i dont blame him it just made yt content in general worse
@@Sleeprocket1 hm. Yeah
Hi-Fi Rush sounds like a new Mountain Dew Flavor and I'm all for it
Gosh, it does, haha. What would it taste like? Maybe fruit punch? I don't remember if there's already been a fruit punch MD.
sorry to say but baha blast got some new dlc
@@RedSpade37 I'm imagining it'd taste something similar to Monster Zero Ultra, just without the energy drink.
I would imagine that’s why they called the game that idk
@@attackofthecopyrightbots It probably was only a coincidence, Hi-Fi is a music hardware term
In an era of constant super serious grimdark games with miserable characters, I'm happy that a game where you just go around, listen to some tunes and beat up some Saturday Morning Cartoon villains exists.
That reason alone I love this game.
This game has one of the most satisfying styles and aesthetics I've ever seen in a game. It's like a combination of western and japanese style mashed together in a scifi/cel shaded/anime/comic book style. Which makes sense because the director and writers are western and the rest of the team and designer of the game are japanese.
I totally get the "Yay no Streamer Mode!" sentiment---from both Vinny and chat---but the Streamer Mode music is legitimately great. Obviously it all comes down to taste, but they went all out on the non-DMCA boss tracks.
It's crazy how much they have different yet equally great strengths. The sections were made for the licenced tracks, but the streamer mode was made on top of _that_ . The boss lyrics even get adjusted to fit the characters!
Honestly, aside from the three last sections of the game, where i think the licensed songs fits the best; the original music is vastly more superior. And it blows my mind that they manage to make it as good as the licensed ones and STILL make it sync to the beat.
Just adds replay value to the game honestly.
@@dimitridsmoreira Basically my thoughts. Invaders Must Die and Perfect Drug are the best where they are in the game but for most other songs I can either go either way on it or prefer the original track. Captive Normals being my favorite in the game.
@@EbonMaster The mimosa fight for the streamer mode is tied with the liscened song
1:43:10 Sega Patented the guidance arrow above your car in Crazy Taxi. Namco also patented the ability to play a smaller mini-game in a loading menu while waiting for the main game to load, so thanks guys.
feels really fucked up that you can patent a whole concept, like I just own this and no one else is allowed to do it even if they come up with it independently like one drive trying to own the word "one". like this is far too broad of a thing than should be allowed to be patented. that like putting a patent of the idea of soles in shoes or velcro instead of laces.
@@logandarnell8946 Patent/copyright laws are notoriously fucked and designed to benefit a few at the expense of most.
Konami patented a ton of music/rhythm game related ideas early on, back when Beatmania was one of the first. Only more recently have some of those patents run out, but Konami definitely sued a ton of other companies for using concepts that would otherwise make rhythm games impossible (AKA stuff as simple as pressing a button to a rhythm of a song, or having targets that notes move to and must be pressed at. Kinda insane)
The minigame one must have run out at some point. I remember playing the original Splatoon and playing little minigames while in the lobby waiting for battle very vividly
@@drdewott9154 yeah, it looks like that patent expired in 2015
Gotta love how Vinny is so streamer brained that he imagines chat in his head to respond to
This wasn't live streamed? Could have fooled me
I listened to Yellow Ledbetter, and Vinny's right, you can't understand him at all. The best part is apparently he actually changes the lyrics when performing live to suit whatever is in his mind. The fact he can just change lyrics on the fly and no one notices is great.
English isn't my native language so that song takes me back to being a lil kid and having *no clue* what the epic-rock-music-men were singing about, lol.
That song reminds me of how I felt listening to English music before I learned the language. Kinda neat tbh.
@@kalamies. You're not even a real person though. You're some kind of high-powered space alien.
He's speaking the language of the gods
Vinny tries Hifi Rush: YESS!! :D
No “Part 1” in the title: :(
Really glad he enjoyed it regardless - awesome shadow drop by Microsoft!
No part 1 probably cus the music gets claimed
Streamer mode songs are still very good anyway, so I’m hoping he comes back to it
With this game and the Metroid Prime remaster, I sincerely hope that shadow drops become a steady trend in game announcements. Overnight hype is a winning strategy, and it's great to actually be surprised and excited for a release like this.
the "days without defects" sign reads 994543575 days, that implies this factory has been running for at least 2722967 years
34:45 After listening to the song, I can confidently say that he's singing about on how he doesn't want to be on the ceiling anymore and everything in between him saying that is just him howling in pain.
adding myself to the "hope vinny continues this game" pile
Peppermit's voice sounds familiar because she's voiced by Erica Lindbeck. She's in a lot of different games, notably for Vinny, she's the voice of Ashley from warioware get it together
She's also Jessie in the FF7 remake!
She also voices misty in cyberpunk 2077
Aaaand she's Sailor Vesta/Ves-Ves, Loona and pilot!Millie as well!
I am glad to see Vinny Finally playing that game of the teenager who get wacky powers, face evil adults with even stranger powers, and is supported with a colorful team of allies, and side kick with a Cat that talks.
To be fair the main cast is in their twenties, but on the other hand Chai is absolutely mentally like thirteen tops so the math checks out
It knows what it is. A recipe for fun
chai is 25 lol but he does act like a teenager
Waaait a minute...
an epic reference indeed
1:43:14 - If memory serves, it was the guys at Fine Bros. attempting to trademark the word "REACT" of all things, which was mocked and shut down almost as quickly and soundly as it began (for obvious reasons).
So very excited for this. Very glad Vin chose to do this pre-recorded so he could focus on the game. Hyped that he is using non-streamer mode, even if the original music is pretty great on its own. If anyone has any questions about the game I can try and answer them with minimal spoilers. I have put maybe 40 hours in the last 2 weeks, its already one of my favorite games of all time.
Finished the game, is there any more content left in NG+
@@miloshlaz There's the Rhythm Tower (Basically Devil May Cry's Bloody Tower), New areas to explore, costumes to unlock and a second story ending.
i genuinely feel its one of the best made games ever
As someone who sucks ass at rhythm games, should I play this? Like I love music and rhythm but I typically just can't do it.
@@natewardle you don't have to be on beat to make attacks, but doing so allows for better scores, also has features that provide ways to help you find the beat. (Which is all 4/4 time)
I hope he ends up finishing the whole game. I think he'll enjoy the fun story.
Ngl some parts lasted way too long, looking at you security tower level.
@@thezombiefan777 Yeah I know exactly what you mean
"what do you mean laser climb"
do you see a part 1 in the title?
@@ryanclemons1 that doesn't mean he won't play it again, that has happened before.
I don't know, feels like almost everyone who plays this game gives it 1 or 2 sessions and then they drop it (usually after the Rekka fight). Why is that?
I reeeeally really hope Vinny plays the whole game. It's really fun.
16:55 I think that's the Tango Gameworks logo snail, pretty cool.
it is and you can find the snail around here and there in multiple stages i think.
It's cool that Vinny decided to go pre-recorded for the licensed songs but Streamer Mode replacements are still very good! The original songs made for this game are solid.
Also, Peppermint's VA plays Jessie in FF7R, Ashley in WarioWare, Celica in Fire Emblem and Myriam in Bloodstained among many other roles.. So ye, very familiar voice.
Even without the chat Vinny still bring out the suck bot jokes.
Would love to see Vinny make this a full play through. Honestly my Game of the Year Nominee.
between this, pizza tower, and probably the new Zelda, GOTY 2k23 discussions gonna be wild
Agreed, and not only because it's clear he's enjoying himself (and I for one am happy when the binyot is happy), but also because I know I won't get to play it myself unless it gets ported to Switch. My comp would explode if I tried to run _any_ kind of game on it, let alone one that's so... _hi-fi_ (ba-dum-tshhh!)
vinny and rhythm games? two of my favorite things combined? hell yeah
Savor it because Vinny doesn't typically do Rhythm games
@@musicsheep9816 unfortunately
wen booti saber plS
Let me get him to play Arcaea or Sound voltex
@@Sumire_official Lol both games are visual gimmick garbo
Oh god I hope Vinny plays through the whole thing. I loved this game so much and would love to see him playing it all. This game just took me and blew me away.
I’m devastated to not see part 1, this was the game I would’ve loved to see a full Vinny play through for…😢
He did say he wasn't sure if he would finish it, but as far as I see, it's a common thing on Full Sauce not to mark "(Part 1)" if there isn't a Part 2
I for one am excited for the inevitable part 2, once vinny runs out of other games to play
Vinny finally played Persona 5.
*It really was 20 minutes*
Oh man, I wish he could've streamed it but its understandable.
This game is my GOTY so far, its SO good
I am torn between this and Pizza Tower, and the year just started
@@MrNoot39449 this game clears pizza tower
Yeah, yeesh, GOTY this year is gonna be TOUGH. Pizza Tower, Hi-Fi Rush, and probably Bomb-rush Cyber-funk later this year. The most amazing part is that ALL of these games are trying to emulate a retro feel, too. What a selection.
Hopefully _this_ will be the push that shows big AAA companies that the public has had enough of their dogwater garbage. We don't want games filled with lootboxes that are basically interactive movies, we want experimental games run by passionate people with real artistic vision.
Vandelay is of course named after George's fake job in Seinfeld
Vinny was the first person I thought of when they announced it. Glad he's playing it!
Peppermint probably sounds familiar since the actress was on Smiling Friends.
Or vin has watched more dubbed anime than he'll admit
Erica Lindbeck has several non-anime roles aswell. (Like Smiling Friends which you mentioned)
She also voiced Jessie in the FF7 Remake. Obviously along with a ton of other stuff, but that could be where he recognizes her from as well
Loona from Helluva Boss, as well.
@@jimdandy6408 it was a really funny experience playing the game after being so into HB stuff, when papermint was especially angry I was just sitting there waiting for her to start swearing like a sailor but it never happened.
@@_Cetarial she's in everything right now. She's getting lots of work
I'd legit watch a full playthru even if it ends up being pre-recorded for the nonstreamer music. That 3rd act does hit different with nonstreamer mode ngl
Also regarding the choice of NIN song, I love that they used "1,000,000" because it matches with how the story's QA Center's had a perfect streak of 1,000,000 products with no defects until Chai came along
Especially the “Needle Drop” when we get to see *THAT* song
begging for this to be a series i need vinny’s reaction to song choices and goofy bosses
8:50 "lol" said Microsoft "lmao"
The copyright free version of the boss songs are actually really good so I hope he listens to them on their own
Oh I didn't realize they had tracks in place. I'll definitely have to listen to them.
Hope this is a first part of an eventual series, if not I’m glad he’s played the first section, which is definitely one of my favorite parts
I hope they make this game canon to the evil within
Please do a full playthrough Vinny, this game is great.
1:59:44 this is a reference to the main protagonist Sebastian Castellanos and side character Josef Oda from The evil within game that the devs of this one (Tango gameworks) made before this. nice reference i love those games.
God damn does this game ooze with PS2/Dreamcast gem library energy. We really need more games with that kind of vibe.
This game has a lead dev from DMC/Bayonetta and you can feel it, takes the combat of those games and adds a rhythm element, awesome soundtrack and charming characters! My GOTY so far for sure
I definitely hope he returns to this game
I laughed way more than i should about the dude muted on the team call joke.
not even a minute into the game and I'm already in love with the art style!
High recommend for a full playthrough, pre-recorded or not.
Hi-Fi Rush is easily one of my favourite games of all time, let alone this year. It builds on its mechanic just as well or better than the mainline character action games, and the style doesn't let up for a single moment. Plus, no wasted time, they condensed the whole experience down to the best parts!
Good call on the prerecord.
Absolutely had a blast with this game, easily one of my favorites in a long time.
I'm so glad Vinny announced the new RED VOX album:
BLASERLOAD
Yeah, hedge mages are a thing. Basically, magic users who're self-taught rather than formally trained.
Doooood, this game just randomly pops up overnight, and now I'm mad that I lact the system for it. This looks proper amazing...
Minor heart attack when Vin said "Vinyl Scratch"
It's truly very tragic that we may never see Vinny react to the door joke
Or the decaf gag, that's a mother 3 door knob tier gag
I heard that Vale Vandelay, CEO of Vandelay Industries, had an ancestor back in the 20th century that was also a businessman. Records show he was an importer/exporter operating out of New York City.
Thanks for making the joke so I don't have to. 👍
I hope Vinny finishes this game just for himself if he isn't gonna continue recording it. Such a nice and charming game with some really fun segments. Currently my game of the year ngl.
I really hope he plays this game it only get better the more you play and it’s a very Vinny game
34:34 Eddie Vedder is really talented, can't believe he sang in both greek and english
His enjoyment of the fine music production details is infectious. I'm glad he likes this video game.
1:43:07
i think it was SEGA that laid legal claim to the concept of an arrow on the UI pointing in the direction of the next objective. due to one of their racing games.
as such no other company coupd use that.
infamous in video game industry, it was known as a "dick move."
I knew he would play it off stream for the music lol.
This game looks like it has a lot of heart and passion put into it, hope to see a full playthrough from Vin but this certainly works!
very much want vinny to finish this, even pre-recorded. I think he'd love it.
I hope Vin at least plays it on his own if he doesn't want to record any more of it here. It seems like he really enjoyed it, so it be a shame to just forget about it after a single session.
"I'm so glad I didn't choose streamer mdoe for this"
I mean, I get it-- Nine Inch Nails is cool.
But the original song they made to replace that track is called "Too Big To Fail" and it's SUCH A BANGER that I find myself singing it weeks after I've first heard it. Rekka's song in the streamer mode is super good too, but QA-1MIL's streamer mode track is hands down the B E S T S O N G in the entire game, bar none.
There's also a thing where some of the non-original tracks are completed masters, so they can't do fun audio mixing stuff like they can in streamer mode where they can really piece apart the song together and have parts of it kick in really distinctly. Like in streamer mode, you get to hear the singer belting out "TOOOOOOOOOOOOO BIG TOOOOOOOOOOO FAAAAAAAAAA~AAAAAAAAAAAAILLLLL" really distinctly.
In this version, I can *barely* hear 1 Million.
8:49 Ohhhh vinny i got some bad news for you :(
this game is perfect for vinny, this whole soundtrack sounds right up his alley
So this is like if nickelodeon fused DMC with Crypt of the Necrodancer? Very cool
Really hope Vinny continues this, whether it be on or off recording. Its rocketed to be one of my favorite games of all time.
Yeah I don't know what the hell is going on in Yellow Ledbetter.
I did hear something like 'a big ol whale' a few times. I clapped when I heard 'a wizard on a whale', glad I managed to catch that.
Hope you play more of this Vin, especially if you’re enjoying it so far. It only gets better from here!
Just wanted to thank you for dropping the fact that you released a record, I am now going through Red Vox’s discography and realizing just how good the music is. I had no idea before hand, I am just getting back into watching your content. Seriously really good music, I am fucking hooked
when I heard "hi fi Rush" I thought there was a remastered San Francisco Rush or something
So glad Vinny is playing this, I think it's easily a game of the year contender already. I'll be happy if he does decide to continue playing this on prerecord :)
I love the audio really makes me wanna jam to my intrusive thoughts
Really enjoyed Vinny getting to play it for a bit, Rock music games like this and No Straight Roads are definitely gems in gaming with banging soundtracks
Would love to see more but if this is the only video, at least Vinny got to check out how much work was put into it - hopefully in the future if they ever make a sequel, maybe Red Vox can make an appearance, and maybe even see if he checks out No Straight Roads with a similar rock music premise
Keep goin vinny, this is like popcorn enjoyable.
I'm glad I can experience this vicariously now. I love the production and animation, I just can't really get into rhythm based action games myself. Hopefully he continues it.
oh boy he was seriously not kidding about yellow ledbetter. those were just noises, pretty nice noises, but noises nonetheless
Listens to Yellow Ledbetter
Hears the words "Don't know whether it's a box or a bag."
I'm screaming
Yellow Ledbetter doesn't even sound that weird to me anymore. Pearl Jam Exposure Therapy.
Watching now before this gets taken down
1:42:45 this is actually a reference to Sega. When Crazy Taxi came out they tried to trademark the arrow to point towards the next destination.
Really hope he keeps going with this one if only for the Prodigy level.
All the top comments on that Pearl Jam song are about not being able to understand it
Honestly I really really like the original songs made for Streamer mode, great quality stuff
1:43:06
Vinny's probably talking about the Fine Bros UA-cam channel trying to trademark the word 'react'
I thought the “from the creators of The Evil Within (yes seriously)” was just gonna be a one off joke in the trailer. Gotta admit I wasn’t expecting to see Seb and Joseph again, though considering Evil Within had “there’s evil within too” *looks at audience* and all those Bethesda collectibles it feels right seeing it crossover into something else.
I wonder if I’m this continuity Robo Ruvek lost his robo sister to a barn fire too.
1:43:10 The Fine Bros tried to copyright the term "react"
A game that has both fun gameplay, a great art style, silly humor that makes me laugh, and good music? What a breath of fresh air.
You said you didn't care about the video demonetized because you want to hear the music... So why did you mute the music during the initial cutscenes in the game? Why didn't you just leave it demonetized and unmuted like you said you would
Like the other guy said, UA-cam can be super annoying and force you to remove music otherwise they'll block the video fully
Vinny, start a patreon, and let us support these claimed videos!
I genuinely couldn't like make out nearly any words in yellow ledbetter, killer song loved it love jammy pearls but like damn man couldn't make out a thing.
My goty, unless armored core 6 or ff16 blows me away
Great, now I have to alternate between Vinnie and Woolie.
Glad to see Vinny give it a try. Definitely hope he plays the rest even if it isn't on stream. It'd be a shame for him to miss the final boss music.
There is definitely another game like this called No Straight Roads that i would love vinny to check out.
Eddie simply knows something we don't Vin
♫ I JUMP FROM EVERY ROOFTOP ♫
♫ SO HIGH SO FAR TO FALL ♫
♫ I FEEL A MILLION MILES AWAY ♫
The first robot boss should've been voiced by Trent Reznor lol
I do hope he continues, this game is amazing.
finally, the famous hi fi tower
I hope Vinny ends up playing fully, although I understand why he wouldn't want to play it now due to how many games he's currently playing.
i loved this series and watching vinny having fun with hifi rush. i love this game a lot.
Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam is about a wizard on his way and a little coal man.
I had this stream on and a coworker saw it and said “I’d watch that as an Anime”
