I absolutely love this flashlight. I was hesitant on purchasing one because i thought the price was too high. I'm glad I purchased one because its the best flashlight I've ever had and I've gone through so many flashlights over the years. I definitely wont go back to cheap flashlights. My wife loves it also so I will most likely buy her one.

I wish Cloud would make heads and bodies compatible with Modlite and Surefire. It's sure nice taking my Surefire EDC 18650 and 18350 turbos and putting my smaller Modlite OKW and PLH-V2 heads depending on what I want to carry. I can mix and match bodies and even throw them on my rifles with WML light bodies. Hell my Maloff heads work on those too.
If Cloud made their heads compatible they'd be at the top.

The "650" on the front of the box designates the 18650 or full size MCh. If it was the Micro that uses the 18350 it would have "350" on the box.

It is a very nice light. Well thought out. So many lights out there and you have to give and take what is most important to the buyer. Its programming has the most choices I've seen.

Just got my MCH HC today! Sunburst orange! The HC is definitely a defensive light and not great for EDC. I didn’t buy it for that, so I’m super happy with it!

I’ve been binging your videos today 😂 The ones on using lights defensively brought me here. Does the MCH (either HC or EDC) meet your criteria for a defensive light? I ask because I agree with your points about needing immediate access to the highest output through a tailcap, which the MCH does offer, but I worry about the high/low settings and eventual strobing to change programs taking away from the defensive aspects of the light. I’ve been on the hunt recently for a pocket EDC light that has immediate access to both high and low and your channel brought me to the Thrunite TN12 Pro (which is on the way). I’m curious if that can alleviate my concerns about the MCH HC that I have now. Sorry this was super long haha. But what are your thoughts having experience with both lights? Thanks man!

It is a great comment mate. I love these types of comments and questions because I am currently working through myself to find the best light for self defence and edc. One that I have found is a Malkoff M61 MD2 High/low Switch. I will be reviewing this light soon.
The reason it is like a perfect light is because with the head tight the light comes on full power, but with the head turned slightly, the light comes on very low. So you leave the head tight always ready for full power, but when you need low, just turn the head.
Regarding your direct question, the clouds are great for self defence. But so are Weltools, malkoffs, and any light that comes on high with a single click.
Remember, you can use high lumens for smaller tasks too. Just aim the light to the roof or use the spill when reading something
