Thank you for the great video Bram, This was very helpful! Would be cool if you could demonstrate some of the techniques on the fan brush on how to do trees properly, Or other Bob Ross techniques demonstrating the actual stroke of the brush!
That helped tremendously! I had way too much and thought I was fine until I started the mountains, lol!!! Easy to forget when you trying to get it all started for the first time
Great as always Bram. I'd be up for more how to videos, I'll always take the opportunity to learn from someone more knowledgeable than me. Hope you're staying safe!
I am completely naive and I am starting to paint I bought acrylic and it seems like either it dries off too soon or it just wets my paper too much. I am yet to paint on a canvas as I am practicing first. Could you please suggest the type of colors to be used for beginners like me. I have been watching your videos a lot and you inspire me. The way you play with your colors my acrylic doesn’t seem to behave similarly. Please advice.
here is a question. The sound of your brush o the canvas sounds dry and scrapping like. despite having BR brushes, neither the knife or the brushes make that sound. Im pretty sure i put too much liq white on but i took a brush to a canvas dry an the sound is not nearly as audible as what you have nor what BR sounds like on TV. I'm wondering if the bargain canvases are part f the issue. Fighting colors blending to gray... if thin sticks to thick and the base is too thin, that leaves me with the mess you are referring to
Thanks so much, Bram! I am just returning to painting after 22 years. Now that I am retired, I have some time on my hands. This is the perfect video for me to wade back in. So, tell me ... do you have a video that explains your easel setup in detail? I have a space in my garage that I think would be perfect for a setup like this. How is the canvas secured to the slats?
Hey I think liquid white is terrific but I've got issues with it. Why is it so freakin hard to wash out of my damn brushes? Every other color comes out clean using odorless mineral spirits, except the liquid white, it just sets up a big fat mobile home on my brush and moves in. Cooks a TV dinner, lets his dog out on my lawn, it's whack. WHY can't I clean out the liquid white???
Thank you for the great video Bram,

Will do!
Interesting! You’re the first person that I’ve seen remove most of the liquid white in the mountain area.
Easier to get the snow to stick.

Glad it helped. You can even take a paper towel and dry the liquid white off the canvas once you get ready to do the mountain.
I learned the hard way of too much on the canvas, wished I'd seen this first. Thanks for these tips, I think I'll try again now.
Yes, it can be a mess if too much is on the canvas. I learned that as well. Glad this was helpful.
Thanks Bram. Very helpful. Please do more of these videos.
Good to hear! Will do!

Thanks friend! I plan to do more "how to" videos that will walk folks through a simple painting. Hope you are well!
I need a video on how to keep the jar clean lol My apron is covered in liquid white. After im done painting, im usually covered in it as well!

When your liquid white gets really thick pasty do you add linseed oil or what???

I will put up a video explaining how my easel was built and how it works.
@@paintwithbram ... thanks much!! I enjoy your work. Kudos to Justin Wozniak for telling me about your channel! 😊
Thanks, this is very helpful!
You're welcome!
Thank you, this demo is very helpful. Question, how soon do you need to start painting after the liquid clear is applied?
Right away, it needs to be wet.
Hi Rosemary! You can start painting right after the application.
Really useful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Hey there, I just bought the loquid white, and I have no idea how to open it, it’s closed tightly!
Hope you finally got into the jar
Yes that dose help there are a lot I would ask but. First what kind of oil paint quality due you use
Josh, I always use Bob Ross materials for these videos. Another brand I have used is Winton by Windsor and Newton.
