Happy bicentennial independence day for people in Greece. For anyone who wonder why prince Charles was there please watch the Netflix show "Crown". His father was prince of Greece and Denmark.

Prince Charles was representing the United Kingdom, along with the Russian Prime Minister and the French Defense Minister due to a formal invitation from the Greek state because of the actions of those countries during the Greek Revolution which led to the establishment of the modern Greek state (most notably, the battle of Navarino where the fleets of the three countries destroyed the Ottoman fleet).
Indeed, Prince Philip, was born as a Prince of Greece and Denmark (because the Greek Royal family weren't of Greek origin but came from the Danish Royal family, thus carrying both titles). Prince Charles' grandfather, Prince Andreas of Greece and Denmark who was the son of King George of Greece, fled the country with their family after he was found guilty of treason by the court martial set after the collapse of the front in Turkey during the 1921-1922 Greco Turkish war.
It's worth mentioning that after the parade, Prince Charles visited the Presidential Guard barracks and gave them as a present a framed photo of a young Prince Philip dressed with the traditional kilt uniform the guards (called Evzones in Greek) wear.

What I meant with resistance is resistance during occupation not during the invasion. The Netherlands is a tiny country and with the Germans having big guns we didn't want to lose all of our main cities. Again, my original post was about the 1600's where we fought off the worlds main powers. plus you said there was zero resistance which is a lie.
@Player Player I looked into the invasion of Greece and I also found out that the Italians and Germans didn't invade at the same time. the Italian invasion failed and when Germany invaded a few months later they occupied Greece in 24 days.
