MIG SWITCH or MOD CHIP SWITCH

Mod Chip is superior in my opinion. Just being able to overclock the switch, installing 60FPS cheats, and even booting into Andriod/Linux for emulator support is just too good to pass up. Installing the modchip is dirt cheap too, just a cheap soldering iron, a $10 modchip and some patience is enough.

@@ericthomas2388 I agree to an extent. Definitely for the v1 switch it's a lot easier to solder. But the oled switch was annoying IMHO.
But if you have the skill, it's a no brainer. If you don't, you may risk bricking your switch.

There are similar things to Mig Switch such as R4Switch and Switchit.

@julmik2 ah I didn't know that. Since owning the mig Switch. Never needed to research other ones lol. Would be good to see what the differences are though

So what if you use the Mig switch on hard mod switch in EMUnand and use 90dns this should work to block ?

@@RGhandhelds this is the setup I have now. And works fine. But it's just whether it's worth getting the mig Switch if you've already hard modded it

@mikeys_youtube_makes I am trying to think if we can use it in a hard mod in EMUnand without ban should work. It will give you another SD card slot to use.

The mig switch mostly is used for pirate roms

@@cloudliusihui they both are. But the mig Switch requires you to have the bin files. And from what I've seen there are websites that just contain the xci files. So more than likely people are using the mig Switch to backup original physical games
