Advancing with Watercolor: "From the Rooftops"

This week I am in the field - up on a roof to be specific. The video is part demonstration and partly narration . I want to show what I “see” in this crazy scene I also want to introduce a few methods/ tricks to help you sketch your subject with a brush
Restrain your drawing - a few major lines, angles…no windows :)
Use a restricted Palette to do downplay color desicions
An advantage is we “see” our subject in lights and darks
Use one brush for most of the painting - a larger brush will give you pause to think more about the stroke you want to create…
And leave a few things to be done back at the studio….
