This was really good! Thank you….dark over light/midtone works for me because…..I am very tentative with the pencil. Am really just learning and, unlike pencil or charcoal, once it is down it is not coming up. I use the sanded Sennelier paper and love the final result, but it comes with a lot of angst along the way. Perhaps you could also cover how to deal with mistakes and lifting techniques….
It’s a nice, clear presentation. While the music is not unpleasant, it is entirely unnecessary. Who would give a talk while a group were giving a recital?
Very helpful and I think I need to start using the colour picker. I use about 40 pencils per drawing which results in far too much work and overthinking. Great video Emily.
I’ve always done swatches since I began art! I do them on each paper for each medium I use. My original reasoning is because the pencil often looks different than the color it actually ends up being. But later found it to be so helpful with color picking

So true, an on different coloured papers everything changes. It's something that's simple and quick to do but can really improve your work!
What is the best way to store the pastel swatches and keep them from smudging?

What paper do you draw on, please? 😊
Why I can not add the final lines it is not visible, what is the wrong
