Finally someone who talked about the mindless behaviour of those. When I criticized one doctor on Instagram regarding this issue, I felt bad when no one criticized that doctor talked about fairness skintone in their post. People like you stand against this disgusting behavior of such narrow mindset people. Good Sir 👍🏽
I was travelling in bus today morning and two women behind me noticed a yound lady who wore a red saree with jewels state "She is tall and beautiful but she lacks color". Said by those who look almost same like that women. Even dark skinned women are acting like this to the fellow dark skinned women.
Much needed! Glad there are myth-busters like you who explain it so interestingly. And with scientific explanation. These videos needs to be trending/ shared!!
Sir, please dont consider poeple who say that tamil videos are not good. These tanil videos are real gena for people who cant understand English, which is the real segment that needs such myth busters 🙌🙌 Huge adnirer of your work in the regional languages sir.
Thank you! I don't mind the feedback about the Tamil. It is my mother tongue, and I don't often have an opportunity to do regular public speaking, so I am ok with constructive feedback
Hehe. I can be funny in English also but since those videos have a broader audience, I keep it factual since humour often tends to be culture specific.
Hi Sir…Thanks you so much.. I should show this to my family..I have two kids one melanin kammi and one with little extra.. these aunty’s and uncle’s made my 4 year old to ask me doubt why I look so brown..I told because you’re so cute..I am really satisfied with the today content 😊
that's a great explanation. how does the usage of sunscreen will be related to this? ik the current generation has been more obsessed with the skin products ever than before, but as far as my research goes, sun screen would be helpful for preventing the skin cancer. am using it daily so would like to have your insights on this.
loved the end joke snippet but that varnam is different from the varmam you were talking, could have used "Vellai ah irukavan poi sollamataan" comedy snippet
I have a doubt, people say Curd is heat, chicken Is heat. If you eat too much of these or go outside in a sunny day, You will get pimples and sometimes lower abdominal/ private part pain commonly refer to as சூடு. They also tie in Manjal Kamalai, also known as Jaundice with the same heat. Is there any corelation to this. I have experienced the private part pain when I was a child if I dont put oil in my head before going outside.

Nice work Ashok. Much required. The use of the word 'colour' for 'fair skinned' seems like a euphemism. Karappu /black are also colours!
Yeah!
karappu is cockroach, karrupu is black 😂

Thank you
Superb! The sense of humour in your English videos are in stark contrast to your Tamil ones. And choice of film scenes are brilliant too!
Hehe. I can be funny in English also but since those videos have a broader audience, I keep it factual since humour often tends to be culture specific.
Super ❤

Yes pls use sunscreen, it is good for your skin

I am aware 😊 the use was deliberate (because of colourism’s historical relationship with caste in India)
@MasalaLabTamil aaah okay...fair enough

How do North Indians who don’t speak South Indian languages benefit from this video? Please add English subtitles
Will do: this video is targeted at Tamil speakers. The pop culture references are quite specific
Please atleast add english subtitles.
Will do

Content is great. But your modulation in English Channel is good, here it’s not good
Noted. I don’t do much public speaking in Tamil and thus my style is like how I speak at home and with friends.
