When I read some of the comments below,I wonder if I watched the same video or if these guys are just retarded.This is how a bad-ass rock concert should be.Slash plays better than he did 20 years ago(mainly because he's clean),the band is tight & has lot's of energy.And about Myles:the dude is performing his own material and also songs,originally sung by half a dozen other guys and sound's excellent,he's singing live,no autotune,pre-recorded vocals or other crap ,you can see how much he's enjoying this,no douchebag rockstar attitude.And you don't like this,WTF?!

To hit a sustained and perfectly executed C6 1 hour and 50 minutes into singing his lungs off like he's taking a Sunday stroll. Absolute freak! I don't know about preference, but technically, he's one of the absolute best singers ever.

Performances like this illustrate why Axl had a guy with a Slash's Snakepit shirt thrown out of a concert. Slash was integral to Guns N Roses and it's been subrate ever since, yet this singer sounds better than Axl did in his heyday and Slash is every bit as good as he was with Guns N Roses. Somebody should make a youtube video displaying Slash's performance with this singer to Guns N Roses around the same time playing the same songs. The result would be pretty funny.
The "Singer" is Myles Kennedy. arguably the best singer in rock today. He sings for Alter Bridge, and if you haven't heard Alter Bridge you're really missing out. My personal favorite band.
Axl is certainly not in his heyday now, but I'd take the young Axl Rose over Myles Kennedy any day of the week. Listen to Nightrain here vs GNR Live at the Ritz in 1988.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Alter Bridge and Slash! Myles kills it for the last 20+ years. Glad to see that people like Slash acknowledge his talent.
I wish he had a better stage presence! His voice is incredible, but he’s kinda “stiff” on stage. It’s a pleasure to listen to him, but sometimes not enough visuals to keep you entertained.
On that note, I’m a lifelong fan of Myles, AB, Tremonti, and Slash! I wish that these people were as appreciated as Drake and others.
I think he has great presence, I don't think he considers himself the frontman in Slash, just a vocalist but he absolutely owns the stage in Alterbridge and in his solo stuff. I think the big factor is that he is way more comfortable when he get to play guitar as well as sing bevaise he considers himself a guitarist first.

I was a huge fan of Slash during the GnR-days. Kind of lost the interest in his playing after 94. The solo stuff was mostly fillers. Must say I gained new respect with this band. Sounds fucking great! ! Finally it seems to be real band chemistry. Love it:)) Myles is great

Guitarists are Gods yes Axl's legacy was pretty damn on point in the day especially Appetite for Destruction...loved it & G&R but now he just has this sucky attitude that makes him really nothing...the 2 people in his band that really make the band are DJ Ashba whom I just love & Richard Fortus who also has played with Thin Lizzy but DJ makes that band not Axl & Myles' voice maybe not the same as Axl's but no one's voice is the same & really should not be, but I don't think Slash could have picked anyone any better...but if you hear Myles in his own band, Alter Bridge, whom are just awesome, it is a different kind of rock & he plays the guitar pretty damn good too!

I have to agree with your first comment. That being said, Appetite for Destruction was and still is one of the best albums ever made. A lot of that had to do with Axl Roses' singing. Myles Kennedy is a great frontman for sure, but nobody can sing the original GnR songs like Axl.

As far as Myles singing guns n roses songs, if you compare him to Axl of today, Myles blows him out of the water vocally...not even close.
It's not fair to compare myles today to Axl in his prime because you're comparing a man with a 30-40 yr career to a hungry 24 yr old just starting out.
So I look at it like
A) Do I feel like I'm missing something when Myles sings those songs?
B) Or think, wow he nailed that!
IMO, Myles nailed Rocket Queen, Sweet Child, and Paradise. I wasn't missing anything on those. In fact he did something not even Axl did...singing that long "home" twice. Axl sang it once when performing live. He didn't even do it in studio...they doubled it. Myles hit those back to back with perfection!
He sang Civil War and Jungle perfectly well, it was just missing that Axl grit for me. They are gritty songs and need that edge and Myles voice doesn't have that.
I can't make up my mind on Nightrain. Jury's out. Need to hear it a few more times.
As far as the overall performance of the songs, myles is not gonna be running around the stage. He doesn't have that vibe plus as I mentioned earlier hes not 20 something years old. Axel had that Freddie Mercury stage presence thing going for him. Not having that from Myles doesn't really bother me because I wouldn't expect it from him, in fact it would be weird if he did lol.

He studied with Ron Anderson, learned to sing with proper breath control, breath support, and resonance and it shows. He never goes on stage without warming up for at least an hour beforehand. He cares about his voice. He cares about his music. He cares about his fans. Fuck Axl Rose.

I'm a professional vocalist with a fairly broad vocal range myself but watching Myles is inspiring. It reminds me that no matter how good you are there's always someone better. Let us not forget Myles was the guy on the movie rockstar making him "Thor" GOD OF THUNDAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I love how Myles' attitude changes from Alter Bridge to Slash. Here, he's the confidant, energetic frontman, which is exactly what this band needs, but see an Alter Bridge show, and he seems far more humble and artistic. It's fantastic how he can cater to everything thrown at him
Myles voice great but too soft for me, Axl voice more powerful and better, Slash solo's awesome & fast enough but should try create some different like van halen.
The problem is Axl is a lunatic. His life is controlled by a "powerful psychic" the band called Yoda who controls his every action. He fell into the classic mistake of thinking he was Guns N Roses and how's that working out for him? He seems to be the only one of the old band members who has had no success.' Axl is a washed out old joke and the only reason I'd go to see him would be in an original GNR reunion, but even then I think I'd be brining headphones.

Todd Kerns is a great singer. I don't think he's better than Myles, but his voice does suit certain songs better (Jungle, You Could Be Mine, Dr Alibi). I was hoping they'd record a song or two with him singing on the new album

Myles is the best singer in Rock today and his solo on Alter Bridge's "Blackbird" was voted the best solo ever by Music Radar, so he is also an awesome ax man. And I agree with SpeRatedEdge, while Slash was a douche who wouldn't let anyone take pictures with him and imposed that on the rest of the band, Myles was a sweetie and wanted to take pics the fans after show.

This is a great show but let's not go overboard...I am alive long enough to have been able to hear Axl live and there is no comparison...Axl's range and power were unmatchable. When Axl came back in 2005-06, I heard him live at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NY (look up that show) and he blows Myles away. Myles voice is good but lacks range and most importantly power...even Scott Weiland could not supply the power to keep up with Velvet Revolver.
Myles has just as much range if not more than Axl - he just has a cleaner voice without Axl's raspiness.
Seen GNR back in the Appetite and Illusions tours and Myles is still better. Axl was always hit and miss with his voice.. He didn't take care of his voice at all, Axl to me was always kind of a joke live it was more about attitude, talking down to the fans, and changing clothes. Where as the band always tried really hard to keep the show going.. Wish Slash and Myles would just come up with a real band name and just be a full time band...

I was at this concert at HOB last year!! The vibe was in HOB that night was like GN'R days in the 80s except sober. So glad to find this on UA-cam. Slash with Myles & the Conspirators are badass. The audio from the recording doesn't do them justice. Slash's solo during Rocket Queen is fucking epic. I'd rather see them than the W. Axl Rose Band line up any day.

He doesnt have a good lower octave, it sounds like hes inhaling helium and sounds weird...I like a lower bravado along with the high octave. He tries to sound like Dio.
