I loved Mary the best..She could really act with emotion. I know they all loved 1/2 pint but Mary was the best by far. In my opinion. Laura tried 2 take over the show.. I have them taped and I watch them every day.. Plus I am 74..When they were on tv we would take our children down 2 the grandparents and there was grandfather with the red hankie and said "You can count on crying every time this program comes on.
@@monkeybusiness8398 did you listen to an interview with Melissa Anderson? Radames Pera said he tried to be friends with her so she would feel comfortable acting with him and she kept giving him the bitchy attitude. And Melissa Gilbert and Allison Arngrim said she was the same with them as well.
@@monkeybusiness8398Yeah, you totally mixed this one up. Might want to edit or delete your comment. It was Melissa Sue who was regularly rude, and Radames back then handled it terrifically. He still speaks very tactfully about the situation, while other cast members continue to share what a holy ***** she was on the set. Just mean to her core, over and over again. I feel for what young actors go through, but there is only so much her “pain” can be used as an excuse. The repeated word on the prairie was she sucked chunks.
I wish he had more screen time for sure; including if he could have returned like he thought _may_ happen when he visited the set in season 8. I do love their final episode though, especially knowing how she treated him on the set. That girl shows up at a Chicago cotillion in an 1850s barn dance dress with no gloves and sloppy hair. Girl was out of her depth and deserved the boot. 😅
Mary was only 13 1/2 years old when she got engaged so she had plenty of time to get a new boyfriend, but I know her heart was broken for a while. Melissa Sue Anderson was a good actress. She could cry on cue.
I’m working on a fanfiction story where John marries Mary after all and takes care of her when she goes blind. I can’t wait to finish it! I like Adam and all, but I still think having John forsake Mary at the ball just to cut him out of the show was a big mistake because it was completely out of character for him. Even the actor said so.
Would 21st Century medicine of today, have been able to save Mary Ingalls from going blind, had she lived in our day and age, and not in the late 19th Century?
Little house in the prairie was so much wisdom, I learned so much from that t.v. Show. Beautifully made.
Oh my goodness... So beautiful. I had such a crush on John Jr. when I was little.
I bet you were triggered when they kissed
me too
Me too. He's so cute

I wish they got married. This was my favorite ship ever and always will be
The actor himself was extremely rude to the actor who played Mary and she didn’t want the relationship to continue in the show, so they cut him off

It wasn't Radames Pera who was difficult to work with it was Melissa Anderson.
