I ❤️ his music but when you listen to it live it’s a different story. Concert was amazing. I regret i could not be closer to the stage and make a better sense recording but the concert hall was full.

True dear Friend, also i would pay to see Damien Schmitt playing drums with Herbie Hancock, this drummer IS versatile like crazy, i've Seen Damien Schmitt who has play actual proof and man it was so crazy good.

Craziest thing i ever watched. So good.
And yet i'm not a chops type of drummer. I'm more of an open minded 'jazz' drummer. My heroes are Will Kennedy and Kendrick Scott.
But Damien Schmitt ... Goodness of Mercy, he played with Jean Luc Ponty. And Jean Luc Ponty Said: Damien Schmitt is one of the best drummer he had the occasion to play with. Very funny and humble too. But therefore extremly talented.

I was recently impressed by Sam Laviso drums play with Kamaal Williams (you can also see a short video from his play on my channel) and I am a big fan of Yussef Dayes. Drummers are so great to listen and watch. Thanks again for watching 🙏

@albasardo2266 I van imagine you don’t like it but Herbie mentioned during the intro that’s the reason he plays with him. I think he likes the fact “it sound like everything but a guitar 🎸”.
the guitarist sounds dull and not fluid at all guitarist greg howe would have been a musical stellar choice in herbie hancock band lineup. i definitely avoid seeing this tour as much i enjoy listening to his music. 🎼🎹
