I’ve transferred 90 credits to Snhu with the help of you guys. I had 31 from previous years and I transferred the rest with Sophia. I am on pace to graduate in April in less than a year of going back to school.
Thank you
🤩🤩🤩 We live for these comments! You are amazing!! 🥳🎓
Thank you so much for answering my question! I was devastated when I called LUO for info and they ended up signing me up lol
This was a very interesting video it had a lot of information on some confusion that might happen when you're hacking college.
One of the reasons why people often ask about NAU is that they also offer competency-based programs. Their program structure mirrors that of WGU (with 6-month terms). In their most recent academic catalog, they only require 30 institutional credits (allowing 90 transfer creidts; however, only 75 can come from community colleges). These programs are called "Personalized Learning" programs. These are similar to UMPI's YourPace, WGU, SNHU's CBE, and UMass MyPath programs. They also offer CBE Master's programs.
Helpful! We looked into them but didn’t see the CBE options :) Will look again.
You can also transfer up to 113 credits at Excelsior University. I transferred 101 credits myself and only had to take 6 classes to graduate with a degree in National Security. Yes, I too was a veteran with credits from 7 other colleges plus military credits in spades.
You know what I would love to see. A best college for masters tier list … thanks again guys
This will likely be a future video! But we do offer single sessions for graduate program exploration if you don’t feel like waiting 😉
I go to snhu completed my program this last semester by comleting and graduating with a November 1st confiral date. Thank you for your videos they helped tons and motivated me a ton!
🥳🥳🥳 You are amazing! 😁💪🏼🎓 Way to go!
Guys let these channel goes to 100K first
Thank you!! 🥰😇
Important about UMPI -- you can actually start your next course once a DRAFT is submitted on the final. Meaning you can actually have 2 courses awaiting final draft / final assessment feedback as you start two other courses. I actually thought the majority were able to get back well inside 48 hours, and those who didn't often gave the most constructive and meaningful feedback - which i appreciated.
Great insight, thanks for sharing! 😃
This week I got a Milestone graded at UMPI twelve minutes after I submitted it!
🤩 We love hearing that!!
I got accepted to USC and CalState with a UMPI BA. I didn't go to USC because it was almost $200k for the same masters from UMPI.
Smart cookie! Was it a YourPace degree?
@@CollegeHacked yep
This is a very specific question and I hope it doesn't take a turn for the worse.
I'm a religious leader in Utah and I have been tasked with helping members of my congregation receive the support they need to meet their higher education goals. I'm a full-time student myself. I'm finishing my undergrad in Supply Chain Mgmt. and plan to pursue a Master's next year. The members in my congregation are mostly immigrants from Latin America, most of which do not have documentation (i.e. Social Security Card or Permanent Residency)
Most states, including Utah, do not discriminate students based on their legal status or nationality. However, one of the challenges I have is pointing these future students in the right direction so that they can receive a quality education without completely breaking their budget. The vast majority of these people are not looking for handouts and they understand they need to work hard to earn their degree.
One more piece of context and I will get to my question. Utah has a law (HB 144) that basically states that if you do 3 years of high school and graduate, you are eligible for in-state tuition regardless of your legal status. However, some of the people I am helping might not meet that criteria. In these cases, I advise them to get their GED to not be considered 'International Students' under the eyes of any university,. This helps a bit, but they are still charged out-of-state tuition.
Here's my question. What universities would you recommend for these individuals outside of the ones typically mentioned on the channel? Or do you consider that institutions like WGU, SNHU, UMPI, and the globals are the best choice? Can you think of some that don't charge a crazy amount for out-of-state tuition or a flat rate?
The reason I ask is because there are several traditional universities that offer online degrees, but are usually not mentioned. Here are some that I have found in my research
West Texas A&M - $50 per credit hr (in-state), $80 per credit hr (out-of-state)
Fort Hays State - ~$243 per credit hr
ENMU - ~$280 per credit hr (in-state and WUE)
Thank you! Your content is fantastic.
While we do want everyone to be able to receive a quality, inexpensive education, assisting undocumented individuals is outside the scope of our business.
I am finishing up my bachelors at Umpi thanks to you. I am considering getting my masters degree. I know UMPI has a masters program but do you have any information on Texas A&M Commerce. I’ve heard they have a good program too but not much information on UA-cam about it
We are planning a video on TAMUC soon! 😇
Hello! can you guys do a review on Exelsior university? Thanks!!
Great video. Thank you. You very briefly touch on a PhD. Do you have any videos on the best approach to hacking a PhD?
No videos, since that kind of content is too niche to be worth creating, but we do offer single sessions to help you strategize :)
Thanks
Thanks for your excellent information, can you please make a video on Online hacking university which is acredited
Thankfully, that’s what the majority of our videos are about! 😉
Some industry standard credentials require a college degree to sit for the exam.
This a college degree that is not recognized by an employer may be the key to getting the credential/certification that the employer requires its employees possess.
Maybe! But it depends on the board, as most of them in the US want the degree to be regionally accredited even if the employer doesn’t mind.
@@CollegeHacked Agreed
#QNA Question : Can you review IIT madras Online Degree in Data Science? It is not hackable degree but the reputation of that college is so much that it makes me think about that university.
I heard that you won't have connection with that degree, as anyone didn't take a IIT-JEE test wouldn't be seen as "alumni" by them.
@@ChakokkNo IITM head had spoken about that clearly that by completing online degree your statue will be as same as alumni one. So you will be considered a proper alumni with IITM email ID and all. It's just that you will complete your degree in online mode.
Can you make a video on DHA competency based programs without dissertation requirements?
Not enough interest from our population for us to do a video like that, but we’d be happy to help you individually in a session! collegeahacked.com
I guess I am what you would call a perpetual student in that I like earning degrees (they are good goals to strive for and I enjoy classes but need that end-goal to aim for). I have 2 Masters degrees from traditional colleges but what are your thoughts on getting a Masters in a subject, like History, that I do not have a degree in VS getting a Bachelors and then a Masters in that subject? Should I even bother with getting Bachelors-level degrees once I've reached the Masters level?
To that last question: NO. :) Unless that bachelors is going to lead to licensure and for some reason the graduate version is less desirable (often this can be because of expense). As much as possible you want to try to move up a level each time you pursue a degree. Mainly because of the way most HR pay structures work (you virtually always get more money for each level degree you have), the more years you work with a higher degree the more money you’re making throughout your career. Your addiction to education is a great one though :) See if you can get professional development funds from work to put towards certifications/certificates-they are like mini degrees and are going to be more worthwhile to your career progression than another bachelors or masters in something random 😜 You could also look into Interdisciplinary Studies type doctorates, if you wanted to level up again 😎
College Hacked, I have a question for you. There is a new trend that I would love to get your take on. I have noticed that more and more Community Colleges are now offering Bachelor's Degrees. Would it be worth it for new students to get a Bachelor's Degree from their local community college due to the very low cost of community college versus a 4-year State or Private College?
Cost wise, it’s effective :) But speed wise, not usually. So it all depends on your goals!
I’m currently enrolled at SNHU going for my BS in CS, I’ve maxed out all the Sophia courses I could do, but due to referral codes I have another 2 months I didn’t want to go to waste! What degree program would you say is the easiest to hack using Sophia and which school besides SNHU would you recommend!
UMPI, for sure!
thank you so much for responding to my question!!! unfortunately im italian so cant attend WGU :ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc, is purdue the next best option then? or TESU?
Purdue Global! They are competency based, TESU isn’t.
thank you for responding as always!!! i dont mean to be annoying but they dont offer a CS degree :C@@CollegeHacked
@@rodrigo8959They have IT, Cloud Computing, and Analytics. If you want strictly computer science, SNHU and TESU :)
Hi. I wanted to know why UMPI takes so long with their credit evaluation? This is very daunting but I still like them but things need to change within their practice. When I called they said things are done manually not automatically and that so 1970. LOL.
Last we talked with them they were working hard on a solution to the long wait times!
Thanks for the reply@@CollegeHacked
I will try to wait and see!@@CollegeHacked
WGU's CS bachelors is ABET accredited since last month...big deal
EXCELLENT!! Go WGU!! 🥳
Hey! What schools and programs would you recommend for someone trying to transition to a career in education?
What kind of education? Teaching K-12, teaching college, creating curriculum?
Teaching college
Does this Masters in organizational leadership help with employment opportunities at umpi? I have been considering going back to get a MBA or another master's degree.
Do you mean are you more likely to get a job at UMPI if you have a masters from there, or do you mean easier to get a job in general? I would say yes to both, but probably pretty marginally in regard to the former.
Sophia doesn't appear to have a menu option to show how they align with UMPI.
That is true, not too sure why. But I used to teach there so we have the equivalencies. Degree Forum also typically has a number of people who have uploaded their transfer credit eval results, showing what transfers in as what :)
They have a list if you have applied, but it's not 100% up to date. There is a link you can look at through your account that they provide.
Are there graduation/ online ceremonies from theses Hackable Online Universities? Do students receive caps and gowns when they graduate??
Yes there are graduation ceremonies that you are invited to walk in. Yes, you are given instructions on where to buy or rent your graduation regalia :)
@@CollegeHacked Yesssss!! Thank you for your response!
Tamuc is great! Cost me $750 every 7 weeks and I was able to transfer in 84 credit. Plus you can’t beat the Texas A&M name.
Woohoo! 🥳 It’s definitely on our list to review in a video.
What degree did you get? And what is the process like?
Yes what was TAMUC like?
@@CollegeHacked I sent in my application there, last night. Trying to choose between them. Always fun!
Phd might be too niche, but hacking masters degrees i guarantee you will have better interest levels
A video covering grad programs is in the works!
As International student, which university will be best to hack for BS in cybersecurity? I know WGU doesn't accept international students. I was about to sign up with University of Phoenix, thank God I watched your video on the 7 worst online colleges.
Purdue Global! They have a cybersecurity exceltrack program 👏🏼
@@CollegeHacked Thank you I will visit their website
@@CollegeHacked I will probabely take consultation
Awesome! We’d love to help :) Book at collegehacked.com :)
18:00 could you do a video over this?
Which part of that time mark, talking more about introspection and personality test stuff, shadowing, or both?
@@CollegeHackedthe overall question of trying to figure which degree would best fit for people could be a great video. Some people aren’t sure if they need a CompSci or want a Lib studies. They worry about jobs especially from what they see in the news and so that can cause them to get analysis paralysis. Especially being able to shadow or get an internship without a degree isn’t something people know how to do.
Which school is the best to go for a psychology bachelor's degree.
Best like fastest and cheapest or best as in learn a lot?
@@CollegeHacked fastest and cheapest. And possibly in Canada. Love your videos by the way.
@@Mybloggersroom Thanks! :) Unfortunately I don't know anything about higher education in other countries, the US and all its rules makes for a full time job already 😋 But fastest cheapest psychology bachelors we know of in the US is from UMPI, in their YourPace program :) Averages for our clients are about 1 year and $6k.
@@CollegeHacked can international students get a BA in Psychology?
@@fuilik1Yes! :)
Can PhD programs be hacked
F
PhD is not for hacking, its a research based degree. There's no point of writing useless papers and thesis. PhD is for people who wanna contribute to a field through their research.
Some can be, slightly, yes :) It looks different than hacking an undergrad degree, but some schools allow portfolio or challenge credit at the terminal degree level. Liberty University being the main one we know of.
Can you hacked a Phd?
Rarely, but there are a few schools out there that allow some portfolio credit at the PhD level. Mainly, Liberty University.
Hello, I am seeking a PhD in industrial and organisation psychology. I saw where Liberty University is listed here. I'm an international student can you give a bit more guidance on PhD hacks to cut cost and time. Thank you.
What is a Chipotle degree?😂
A build-your-own major, where you get to pick the majority of the classes you take in the major portion of your degree instead of the school telling you every class to take :)
EHou01 doesn't know what he's on about. All HR cares about is checking the box and hiring a number.
Exactly!!!
Yup, just need get into interview appointments. Keeping the job is another story, especially in tech.
