      I’m sorry but that’s not an accurate haircut! That hair is going to be so uneven!!! Should have had it cut by a known license profession! But the final results did look good! Your mom has a beautiful head of thick hair! 👌🏾I’m a licensed cosmetologist by the way! 👍🏾

      It does make her sort of look like a real life doll, because they usually make the head a bit proportionally bigger than the body. 😁 She, her sister, and her mom are all so pretty but they each look distinctively different. The hair and skin tone really presents so differently when you see the full family, and I love it. I feel like they could do family modeling. 💕

      When black women first went natural they did the natural hair tag with their black significant others because the black mindset needs to change regarding natural hair. Once we except our hair other races viewpoint on our hair won't matter. To other races our hair will always be different whether it's relaxed or natural, so their opinion isn't called for. I guess my question is, although the men in their life are with them, why does it matter what they think of afro hair? Will the white dad and Asian fiancee then have to do a straight hair tag, and ask the women their opinion on Asian and white hair? The tag was meant to be ground breaking for black men and women, so our mindset would change towards our own hair, but ppl took the tag, and started asking their non black significant other about their hair. It makes it look like we are seeking validation. I'm honestly not looking to argue, but would love to hear your thoughts

    • @jesuisannesophierb749
      @jesuisannesophierb749 4 роки тому

      @@bre9328 this is not about validation because when she met her fiancé she had afro hair, in her dad case she is born with it and when she bigchoped it was a personal decision she didn't ask for permission. I just thought it would be interesting and fun to see their view on afro hair the same way we had in previous videos her sister's view on afro hair and bigchoped that I thought was lovely. And it's not because we choose to have afro hair and a bigchop which is a completely personal decision that we have to put ourselves in a box and rejecting others people that have not afro hair or who are not black point of view because they are going to have one anyway positive or negative the same way we have an opinion on other type of hair because we are just human beings. This is our own decision to gives other people opinions importance or not

    And I’ve said this before on another video of yours, but you and I have nearly the exact same hair texture. I’m going on 6 months past my second big chop where I’m starting all over again after learning from my past hair mistakes. I’m embracing all the volume and lack of defined curls this time around and using far less product (losing that need to ‘define’ a curl).
    I hope in another year and a half, my fro is starting to look as full as yours. I can’t get enough of how healthy and vibrant it looks. 😄

    when she got descriptive about her moments in the kitchen getting her hair pressed (grey smoke around hair, and all the sizzling), i felt like i was back in the kitchen getting my hair pressed, being told that i wasn't being burned, and it was "just the heat," lmao.

    It’s so easy to make your own hair leave-in and twist cream. Finding the right oil mix can be a little challenging but it’s fun.
    Your mom is gorgeous.

    Go Mama-el! I'm in my 50s and have natural hair as well. It's great that both daughters are embracing their natural hair.

    Idk, i prefer the look of natural hair. Chemically straightened hair looks lifeless and has a harsh odor.

    Neat! My mom’s paternal grandmother was also part Native American and she had long hair she would wash and brush it and it would be straight, no chemicals. She was also from Philadelphia. I love your mom’s hair love the grey streak too it’s beautiful.

    Your mom reminds me so much of mine! She even dies her hair the same color 😂 She looks absolutely wonderful
    EDIT: 12:01 okay actually she looks _uncannily_ like my mom 😳
    You actually brought something to mind for me. My mommy’s been going through a natural hair transition lately and its been so funny to see it come to life and comparing all of the textures between me, my sister, my father, and her. What we’ve determined is that my sister and I’s patterns are actually somewhere between the two of them with my sister’s being more similar to my dad’s wavy, loose curls pattern and mine closer to my mom’s tight, coily pattern BUT the textures are inversed. My hair is really fluffy feeling and the strands are thin even though the density is high while my sister has low density but more corse individual strands.
