I have the RS 150 and love it! I use it for my office at work. Also I have the one they made before this one the RS 100. Both are nice quality sounding streaming speakers.
150 watts is a lot from 1 speaker. It's probably decent at organ music. I got the rs100 a week ago on sale and even though it uses a 4inch bass driver instead of the new 5.25inch in the rs150 my fiance has come downatairs complaining it was too loud and she could feel the bass too much upstairs. Lol. It obviously holds no candle to foundation shifting 1000w towers but these little bluetooth speakers are pretty competent at bringing enjoyment to the other rooms around the house.
McIntosh is the one hifi brand that fuel tons of arguments. Are there better for less money? No doubt about it. Now does any other brand hold value like a mac? Nope. All of my mac gear now cost more then I paid for it...
McIntosh gear is too dam good looking to ignore. I hope to hear some one day, and hopefully love and purchase! I'm nervous about hearing it though. I am already biased to wanting it, aesthetics alone.
Interesting item for sure and I don’t doubt what it can do, but it’s definitely for those who can and will spend that kinda money for that sort of thing. Well done Chris! Not bad for a Red Wings fan. 😜
iPhones are capped at aac for Bluetooth, while it is better than the aac streaming used on Android it's still nowhere as good as aptx/hd/LL etc. I'm not a fan of Bluetooth streaming myself but a high end wireless/Bluetooth speaker not including the ldac codec boggles my mind.
I wasn’t impressed with my RS150. I returned it for a Mu-so 2 and I love the Mu-so. However, the RS250 blows both systems out of the water. It’s unfortunate way out of what I can afford. One day I will go all Mac
So your name is "nobody" don't speak for a entire community. I have a 1967 mac1700 restored receiver. Those go for nearly 2k TODAY. My point is simple , mcintosh is rarely a bad investment on the long run . You'll almost Always get your money back, McIntosh is not only quality gear. It's also a brand that always sells at very high numbers decades later.
I may be the only one on the planet who doesn't like modern McIntosh gear. I have experienced plenty of McIntosh gear from the last 10 years and I don't like it at all. It is cheap build quality and doesn't sound good with anything. The modern McIntosh stuff starts falling apart after one year. That is a real shame in my opinion. Now the vintage McIntosh gear from the 70s and even very early 80s are a different animal all together. Build quality is 100 times better and plays well with others.

I love my RS 150 Thanks for the review
Good review!!!❤
Thank you.
How well did they handle organ music? It’s very demanding.

All McIntosh, all the time.
Not after I shipped it back :-(
Great review, I would be interested in hearing a review on the McIntosh turntables if your looking for ideas.
Thanks
It's a possibility.
By only offering mono the RS150 seems even more niche than McIntosh's norm. They'll sell you a stereo RS250 for a cool $3K!
I found it interesting as well.
I think mono works great for streaming. You can walk around and get chores/work done and everywhere is the sweet spot.
Thank you.

Spend some time at a dealer and see what you think. Don't be scared to do this several times before making a decision.
It indeed looks good, so good that some people only stare at it.
However, for audio device I'd prefer a sound image rather than the image only.

Qobuz support?
MQA = Master Quality Authenticated.
D'oh!
Yup
Odd how part of the video your face was blurry...Useful content though
Ain't nobody got any money for that!
You'd be surprised at how many people have the money for that.

Review the Mac mp100!!
They'll need to send me one first...
You lost me at $1200. Nice little speaker but plenty of other options out there. Thanks
Indeed. It's not for everyone.
You haven't heard this one so your opinion is based on lacking funds, nothing else.
@@MichelLinschoten Not lacking funds but would choose to spend them more efficiently.

There are plenty of people who don't care for McIntosh gear. That's bound to happen with every manufacturer though.
Falling apart after a year? Hmm…no.
