Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can’t even tell you how much time I’ve spent researching and trialing “affordable” inventory solutions, especially ones with the capability of tracking bundling/kitting and raw materials.
You are so welcome! I'm glad it could be helpful to you!
Been trying to find a good, reasonably priced inventory solution for my new Etsy shop that I plan to start later this month. I've been finding a lot of pricey solutions that don't quite go into detail with what they're capable of doing that the next, similarly-priced competing software can't. Your video has given me more valuable information in 13 minutes than an hour+ of research on my own time. Thanks a ton.
I'm really happy to hear that it was helpful to you, Cobalt! Thanks so much for watching!
Mae, may I suggest that you add the link to the apps on the descriptions or on the first comment and pin it on top. Thank you
The links are set to pop up in the corner of the video as you're watching! Just click the little icon in the upper right.
I love all of your videos - I’ve learned so much! Thank you
I'm so happy to hear that, Nancy! 💖
I would love if you make a video on how to find a programmer to make code for some automations in your store with a rundown of how much to hire them costs and how integration of the new software works. I heard you mentioning this twice recently about getting a coder to create new software and I am highly interested in this aspect of business!
Thank you for the suggestion, Violinda! And thank you for watching!
Yes, I would love info on that too! Craftybase has great functionality but it's far from being user-friendly .... extremely complicated system in my opinion.
I usually don't do this, and I hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but I just found an amazing software called ERPAG. The software is amazing and the customer service is out of this world! If you're familiar with Trunk, CraftyBase, and Katana, ERPA does all they do for about $50 a month! I just started using them and they've been a lifesaver for me. Again, my apologies if this isn't allowed, just trying to help.
Thank you for this video! I’ve been doing inventory management for a small business that pays over $300 a month and these options are more reasonable for the size of the team.
Thank you so much for watching!! I'm so happy to know you found this video helpful! ❤️
So happy I found this video... I keep saying this is my problem since it’s just me and the items are one of a kind and unlike tshirt printing where I have an easier time fulfilling the demand for the product.
I'm happy it helped! I totally understand that - OOAK can be so fun and interesting but it can also be added work and stress for the maker.
Very helpful! I need inventory management. I’m always running to the store and forgetting things I need to purchase. Can’t wait to look into Crafty Base!
I hope that you find it helpful! It feels so good to get things like that under control.
I was just think about this this morning! I've been on Etsy for a while and I'm setting up my Shopify site this week. I already have SKUs, so I'm going to check out the first App you mentioned for Shopify.
That's great, Beth! I'm so glad this way timely for you!
Super helpful. This is such an issue for product retailers. I appreciate your insights and great idea for hiring in house at this point!
I'm glad it was helpful to you, Micki! Thanks so much for watching.
Thank you at I’m at the beginning of creating a shop development, this is very helpful
I'm so happy you've found this helpful!! Good luck to you and your business!! ❤️
Thanks Mei, really helpful as always. I'm still very small scale, but this makes me excited about the day when I will need to explore this further! :)
Thanks for your comment, Rebecca! This is something you can start to implement, even on the small scale, just to get you used to tracking. It's never too early to get organized! 😊
@@CreativeHiveCo thx Mei! :)
Thanks for this useful tips. I learn a lot.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for posting this. I may just start with paper aka Excel inventory tracking.
As long as you have an inventory tracking system, then that's a good place to start!
This video has been helpful. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for watching! I’m so glad you’ve found this helpful! ️❤️
Thanks a lot for the video! 🌻
Thank you so much for watching!! ❤️❤️
I'd love to see a video talking more about how you had a programmer code functions for you instead of using an outside management system! Or please link to a similar video if it already exists. Thanks so much!
Hi Erin! Thank you for the suggestion! While there are really great inventory management systems that can do advanced inventory, shipping, etc. management I need, I just can't justify their monthly price tag that's why I had to hire a programmer to do the automations for me that way, I don't have to pay hefty monthly fees. But if you don't need any complicated inventory, shipping, etc. management, you should be all good with the readily available inventory management app systems. There're lost of really great options in the market (or you can refer to my recommendations in the above video).
Hi again Mei, When your custom inventory solution is finished could you make a video showing what it looks like and how you decided what all it needed to have to work for you?
In this case I probably won't make a video just because I don't want to skew someone toward my system that won't actually be helpful to them. It's best that everyone find the system that works best for their own business.
@@CreativeHiveCo Yes, of course, we understand that. But if it works well, maybe you can give us the programmer's name who did the job. I'm sure he will be happy to have other customers for almost the same job.
Great video! Quick question what is the app you use to create pick and mix options on your charm listing? as we sell bath bombs but want to create a listing all pick and mix where the customer can pick 3 bath bombs of their choice for a set price. Have you got any suggestions on what app to use which will also deduct what they pick from my shopify inventory.
Hi there! I use apps.shopify.com/advanced-product-options
And thanks for the info!
You're welcome! Thank you so much for watching!
Wonderful! 🏆🏆🏆
Thank you for watching, Jana!
Hey, first here :) I've been planning to start a small business for a while, but it feels scary to start. Your videos been helping me quite a lot. :)
Hello Sandeep! Welcome! I'm so glad to hear that they are helping you - that makes my day!
I love selling but I really lose the overview. Thank you for your suggestion
You're welcome, Filiaris! Just consider it one more tool in your seller's toolbox.

Thx for this video, imake bath kits and jewelry and cost of goods sold is super important for my business but was trying to figure out how to do thay
Thank you so much for watching! You got this! ❤️ If you have any questions, just let me know. 😊
Hey, I have a Shopify dropshipping with many products and many variants since it shoes, I also have stock. I want to find an app that syncs the stock to Shopify and we we fulfill orders in oberlo it detects the ones that are in stock and removes them from oberlo so that they can be fulfilled from the stock. Any idea? Thanks
Because Oberlo is a specific dropshipping app, I would probably reach out to Shopify help to see if they have any suggestions. I have always found them to be so helpful! help.shopify.com/en/questions#/login
Great video. I require digital downloads and within each digital download are several different machine formats and within each machine format are different hoop sizes. I am trying to to set up a program that will be able to handle that. As well I need to be able to provide automatic digital downloads. I an currently trying to set and link Fetch to Shopify. Have you done any videos that address linking softwares across platforms?
I don't currently have any on app integrations, though we do talk about that in my A Sale A Day course as the need comes up. But typically the installation process is just clicking on the "Add app" button from the app in the Shopify store and following the prompts. And every app has a different way to further install it. Fetch has this on how to work with Shopify: fetchapp.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000006088-how-do-i-use-shopify-with-fetchapp-
Hi, thanks for the video.
Just a quick question
I am selling perfume oil on shopify, what’s the best app for tracking my inventory.
I’m selling my perfume oil’s in
5ml, 10ml, and 20ml bottles.
So I have bottles of 100ml and when customers order come,
I pour the perfume oil in bottle of 5ml, 10ml or 20ml according to their order and ship it.
How will I put that in my inventory?
Because if I put 2x 5ml in stock
5x 10ml in stock
And 2x 20ml in stock
That’s 100ml all together.
So for instance if I sell both my 20ml
It’ll show that it’s out of stock on 20ml,
but in reality I still have 60ml left and I can use it towards 20ml 10ml or 5ml orders.
What’s the best way to do integrated volume or what’s the best app to use.
One way is to keep an eye on stock and manually update as needed but you could check out Merchbees: apps.shopify.com/merchbees-inventory-value or Connected Inventory: apps.shopify.com/connected-inventory and see if they meet your needs.
Hey Mai! Your amazing, thank so much for your lifesaving videos, can’t stop watching your channel. Could you please advice if the algorithm of tasks before connecting Inventory Manager app is correct?
Shopify is my Main inventory shop. I want to divide products to 2 different Etsy Stores.
Step 1 Make bundles at Shopify
Step 2 Divide Shopify inventory into 2 Etsy Stores
Step 3 Make same bundles there
Step 4 Connect Trunk to sync all inventory together
Same SCUs for products and bundles everywhere.
Hope I got it right. Or maybe you could advice when should I start to use Inventory manager to make this process smoother:)
Thanks in advance.
I would honestly use an Inventory app as soon as you can, so that when your inventory grows you already have the systems set in place. It will be easier to input and track in the long run.
Did she even read your comment at all?
Hello, I am literally starting a small online business selling Jewelry supplies. I've been ordering multi items from all over the world. I do make Jewelry also but I am in the process of setting up from scratch. I've ordered in bulk and now need to get it sold ASAP. Maybe I am crazy to start this now! I am retired and have the time. What do you suggest I do first? Make the Jewelry to sell first or get the inventory in a website. Where do I go to get a website set up?
You need to focus on one thing at a time, Lorena! What is going to be your main source of income? Are you selling supplies or are you selling finished product? These are two completely separate ideas and should be kept in two different places online. If you are selling supplies then you need to develop a website and get the product up there. I recommend Shopify for an ecommerce platform.
Hi Mei!. I love your channel and I'm thinking to take your program but I wonder whether is it suitable for someone who wants to sell handmade product but not an artist (selling handmade product that made by somebody else)?
Hi Yuwanne, yes, A Sale A Day would work for you. The course is designed to help grow your sales and your business to scale up to massive growth over time. These tips can be helpful whether you make the products or you are selling them for others.
Thank a lot Mei! Just a quick question: is there a way to generate SKUs and barcodes that are compatible with Etsy, Shopify, Amazon etc.? Or what kind of a system would you recommend? 3 main product categories: crochet toys, books, textile.
Hi Fatih! This link might be helpful for you: www.erplain.com/en/blog/make-barcodes-and-skus Hope that helps! Good luck! ❤️
@@CreativeHiveCo That was useful. Thank you.
Your video is best of all on this topic - amazing ... after 2 years now which software is best in your opinion ?
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️ There's really no clear-cut answer to this as it really depends on your business and business needs.
Thank you for this, lots of great tips. Question so where did you find the programmer to get you what you wanted, Reddit maybe? Thank you
Hi Paul! I went to Upwork. You can find lots of great programmers/freelancers you can work with on Upwork or Fiverr.
Hi Mei! 👋 So appreciate your help! I sell handmade earrings and only use Shopify...but I recently hired reps to wholesale my earrings. What would you suggest for that?
Hi Jerrica! Are the reps selling the product to stores for you or are they sending buyers your way?
Great videos
Thank you so much for watching!
How did you find a programmer? This is so much great info!!
I went to Upwork! There are great people there.
Great video thank you so much. But I cant find the website syncer why is it not listed in your description box? You should list them all bcz u can get commission for it when someone sign up.
It's called Syncr: apps.shopify.com/syncr-etsy-auto-stock-syncer You can always visit my blog to find the transcript with links: www.creativehiveco.com/top-4-inventory-management-options-for-etsy-shopify/
Any recommendations for a program or software just to use as inventory in an office setting? My sales team needs samples of our products, so I'll need to maintain an inventory.
This site will help you find something based on your own business size and needs: www.softwareadvice.com/inventory-management/
Hello, this video was very helpful. i decided to use the SYNCR app. but ran into a problem. i added all of my products from etsy onto my shopify account using the syncr app. The products are showing up on my shopify product list. but when i add them to my collections it says products added successfullyy. when i go onto my collections page the products are not being added into the collections its saying no products available. is this problem on shopify or the syncr app? Please help.
I would definitely check in with Shopify's customer service for this. They are amazingly helpful.
Is there an app which can update the variations? I've used 3 or 4 inventory tracking apps in the last few months and none of them seem to be able to manage adding or selling out of variations. Manually going to 0 because I'm fulfilling an order from my ready to ship section also seems to be a problem with all the apps I've used.
Hi Amanda! You can trying reaching out to your Inventory Management App's customer support first and ask if they offer the feature you're looking for. They can walk you through the process in case you just need to tweak something in your settings. If they don't offer the feature you're looking for, you can try checking out my suggestions in this list and ask their Customer Support first before you commit. Hope you find the inventory management app you're looking for soon!! ❤️❤️
I currently sale tumblers on Etsy and share the same inventory across 100+ listings. So let’s say that I sell my last purple tumblers and my restock shipment is delayed - I would have to update all other of the 100 listings that it’s now sold out. Is there an inventory management system that would help with that scenario?
One option you might consider is using an inventory management software like TradeGecko, QuickBooks Commerce, or Zoho Inventory. These platforms allow you to centralize your inventory data and sync it across multiple sales channels, including Etsy. With this setup, when you sell out of a particular item, the inventory level is automatically updated across all your listings, helping you avoid overselling and ensuring that your customers have accurate information about stock availability.
I’m going through your videos now but do you know of an app/excel/suggestion that tracks inventory + the price you bought it for + the price you’re selling for? And maybe as an extra tells you when inventory is low. 🤔🙂
Hi Indasia, Paper & Spark might have what you are looking for!
Indasia, you can try SKUSavvy which will do all of this plus manage the bin locations, pick-pack-ship, and lead time for purchase orders
I sell on 2 marketplace. Which would you recommend?
Whichever one is going to be easiest for you to use.
I have a client Jewellery maker who has around 500 pieces and various sizes. Is Shopify suitable for this? Which Shopify plan would work best?
Shopify will definitely work, and Basic Shopify would work as a plan, unless she wants more features. www.shopify.com/pricing
can any of these softwares be used without integration to shpoify of etsy?
Hi Adesuwa! Where do you plan on using or integrating it if ever? To check the compatibility, you can go directly to the app's website (or the Shopify App Store) to check the platforms these software are compatible with.
What would be best for a start up online boutique?
Hi! It completely depends on you and your business needs. I suggest you conduct a research first and compare all your top options and go with what fits you and your business needs the most. Good luck! Hope you find the one soon!
i have a question, do i have to have a shopify patform to use those apps? I closed my shopify store, now I only have an etsy store.
Hi! Great question! For most of the apps I mentioned in the video, it's not required to have a Shopify site but if you're only selling on Etsy now and no other platform, you can skip on using these inventory management apps since you'll only have to monitor inventory in 1 platform which in your case, is Etsy. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions! 😊❤️
Do you have any feedback or insight on Inventora?
I haven't used it so I can't speak to how it functions, but it looks like it tracks inventory plus materials, which can be helpful to businesses with a lot of moving parts. It has a free tier, so might be worth trying.
So I sell rolls of tape. I have varients of different sizes for the same roll of tape. 1 roll, 3 rolls or 5 rolls. If someone buys a 3 pack its cheaper than buying 3 individual rolls. But. all of these rolls come from the same inventory. For example I buy 50 rolls of tape at a time. How can I tell shopify that I have 50 rolls of a certain type of tape, and if someone buys 1 then inventory decreases by 1, but if someone buys a 3 pack, the total inventory would drop down by 3, rather than by 1 x 3 pack. Because each varient comes from the same box of tape, I need the entire count to change, not just the 3 pack. thanks!
Hi! Here's a link I found that could be helpful for you: community.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussions/question-on-tracking-inventory-with-bundle/m-p/1391651 You can also explore the Shopify App Store for other possible apps you can use. Good luck!! Hope you resolve this soon!! ❤️
does syncr still exist? can't find it in shopify apps
Hi Maddy! As of the moment, it's not published in the Shopify App Store. You can refer to this link for reference: apps.shopify.com/syncr-etsy-auto-stock-syncer It would be best to contact their support team to know when they'll publish Syncr in Shopify App Store again. Here's their email address: support@syncrapp.com
Whats the best one to have if you have an etsy and a website
Hi Vicky! It really depends on your preference. You can check out each of my recommendations in this video and see which one will work best for you. If you need a transcript of the video along with links for each, you can check it out on this blog of mine: bit.ly/35nXHlB

@@CreativeHiveCo thanks so much for clarifying. Is there a limit to the number of items you can sell, in a $29 Shopify plan ?
Are these inventories vending machine friendly?
It will depend on what you decide to make! These are just apps to help keep track of the inventory.

So basically you show us all of the software suites for 15 minutes and then at end say "but I don't use any of them because I paid for my own custom program" ... Okay well make a video on that why are we talking about these IMSs? Lmao
Hi Ryan! Thank you so much for watching the video! ❤️❤️ The main purpose of the video is to give people (especially those who are just starting out) some software/app options to use in managing their inventory.
what a cutie :)
Thank you for watching!

Come on come to the point.
Sorry! I just think it's good to have a little intro into what I'm talking about so it doesn't seem so random. 🤷♀️
I think that person just likes to complain. I thought your video was well done. Intro, options with explanations of features, and a conclusion. No need to apologize, it was put together well. Some people just like to be asshats.
Too long intro. Just review the app already. Next
Thank you for your thoughts on this. I really like to try to connect with my viewers, though.
Dude, there's a fast forward button.
