I love your "ride along" videos Jake. Please keep 'em coming as time and situations allow. This is the kinda views of Alaska we don't get in other places.
Awesome Jake! It's so cool seeing all the different shots that you get not only with the drone, but the camera... always Inspirational, too! Those ice caves are a trip, such an other-worldly looking experience!
Hi Jake yes totally enjoyed this. I found your BTS coverage most interesting, and a great insight into the Alaskan world of discovery. Quite exciting. Especially for those of us who would love to be there but can't. So again, thankyou good sir. looking forward to "More!, more !! " 🙃🤠
Yes! Very much enjoyed this video. There’s a ton that goes into making commercial work and then a ton making content and its great to see it all together.
Great video! I like the "behind the behind-the-scenes", interesting to watch you direct the people and explain your thoughts on shots/angles etc. This is likely the closest Ill ever get to being a helicopter photographer in Alaska so I appreciate you showing what (part of) its like! :D
This was an awesome story! I really appreciate the look behind the scenes, as a fellow videographer/ photographer this helps me see how talented individuals like yourself operate and achieve success! I hope you do many more of this style of storytelling!
Thoroughly enjoyed this BTS Jake. Great seeing your approach to the shots you take. I'm sure a Ronin would have come in handy too but there's only so much gear you can fit in the backpack.
Jake this was an awesome production my friend. Great Video. I couldn't stop watching. That's when i knew your vid had me. You pulled me in man. Fantastic shots Wow.
I like this a lot!!!! What would be cool too is have a 2nd video showcasing the shots you kept from this trip, outlining which shots worked in your opinion and which did not. Thanks for the beautiful video!
I really enjoyed it, both for seeing what you are doing, and how you are doing it....and also for playing "guess where you are at" since I live in AK too. :-)
@@JakeSloan, You took off from the end of East Knik River road. It looks like you headed up towards Knik Glacier and then around the Corner towards Colony Glacier, and it looks like you were somewhere up in that area, but I haven't been there in well over 15 years so my mental map of the area is not good enough to pin it down any closer than that.
Great content at always! You may do another showing thoughts on shot content and also show "deleted scenes" because we all know there's tons of shots your thinking through your mind that work/don't work. Man watching your videos you have me thinking of moving back! Loved Alaska!!
I think it was awesome! Definatly interesting for me to see as I have never been in those conditions, I basicly live and film in the total opposite where shade can be my best friend!
Very insightful. I love seeing what you do and how you do it. Also helps to live in Alaska right? I have been to Alaska a few times but never have had enough time or resources to do much photography. I did a photo/drone video project for a friend that owns a fishing lodge in Excursion Inlet. Such an incredible place! Keep up the good work.
Of course we like these videos Jake. Anything you do is visually interesting and we learn a lot. How do the Mavic batteries hold up in those temperatures (-20C and windy)? My Inspire 2 self warming batteries are needed around Zero, and I am soft, needing hand warmers or my fingers lock up on the controller.
Frozen waterfalls & ice caves, not something we see very often here in Australia,if ever! Do you use the DJI Pocket 3 as a work tool much? Seriously thinking of getting one. Great BTS video Jake, more please!
I do if you watch my drone vs camera video, 5 drone shots and Sony's most undervalued lens (3 of the most recent 5 videos) those were all filmed largely on the pocket 3
I love your "ride along" videos Jake. Please keep 'em coming as time and situations allow. This is the kinda views of Alaska we don't get in other places.
Thanks John!
I am getting cold watching this. Thanks for the video, Jake. Excellent content, as always. 😀
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome Jake! It's so cool seeing all the different shots that you get not only with the drone, but the camera... always Inspirational, too! Those ice caves are a trip, such an other-worldly looking experience!
Thanks Mark, ice caves are amazing every single time. it's definitely like walking into another planet
This was very cool. Thanks for sharing!
You bet!

Oh man, what a day! And our gloves in their "natural habitat"! Great to see you out there Jake! Let's see more... 🧤🔥
you're gloves make it SOOOOOO much better!!
This was an awesome story! I really appreciate the look behind the scenes, as a fellow videographer/ photographer this helps me see how talented individuals like yourself operate and achieve success! I hope you do many more of this style of storytelling!
Thanks Preston!! definitely this will be a style of video on my channel this year
This was so awesome Jake. You pack extremely light for these magical trips. Crazy to see everyone’s stuff outside of the helicopter lol.
Thanks Eddie, we definitely push the limits!
Jake, you’re getting really good sound being out there on your own and handling so many cameras, layered up in so much gear
Thanks! it took some doing and planning but it worked really well thanks to the rode wireless pro!
You have a great outdoor office. Love your videos. 🥶
Thank you!
Just great! Nice change of pace. A monthly "ride along" would be great wherever in the world you are working!
That's the plan!
Great day in the life content Jake!!! Thanks for taking the time to share the bts of a work day.
You bet
Excellent stuff as usual. You really get a sense of how cold it is.
Thank you very much!
You're the G.O.A.T. when it comes to flying drones in clod weather. At 55 degrees, I can't even concentrate and hold the sticks.
Thank you
Love the Vlog style! Cheers from Florida 🌴☀️
Thanks so much!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this BTS Jake. Great seeing your approach to the shots you take.
I'm sure a Ronin would have come in handy too but there's only so much gear you can fit in the backpack.
Thank you so much, the gimbals are great except they take up sooo much space most of the time.
Jake this was an awesome production my friend. Great Video.

I really enjoyed it, both for seeing what you are doing, and how you are doing it....and also for playing "guess where you are at" since I live in AK too. :-)

More of this kinda content! You have the landscapes and surroundings in Alaska that few UA-camrs have.
More will be coming!
Amazing, really enlightening!
Thank you Wendy

It definitely helps lol still a lot of work but I always enjoy it

they hold up well if you keep them warm before flight, you still loose about 20-30%
I thought it was an amazing video. how many chance do people get to climb on ice like this. the cave, the blue ice, wow!
Thank you Jeff, it's definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity for most people!

Awesome! Really think this is a good way to go! Try my Granddaughter’s coffee at Northcup Espresso in Anchorage. Thanks for a great video.😀👍
Awesome! Thank you!
Did you post the end result(s)?
I did in my rode wireless pro review and my Sony a7cII review
Man I got cold watching it 😅🥶
ROFL
Nice video 👍
Thanks 👍
Where are you based, Jake?
I'm based in Alaska
Can you sometimes show the difference between what’s going on behind the camera and what the customer gets?
I will try in a future video
another hard day at the office! this was fun to watch and you nailed it with the photos! 👌
it was rough... lol actually it was about -35f with the wind
Yes, love these. ❤❤❤ Jake you keep your batteries warm, im curious, do you notice much drop off in performance in the cold compared to aarmer shoots?
yes there is definitely a performance hit about 25-30%
@@JakeSloan Many thanks. Lucky its not a cyber truck.
