Thanks for the part number. I remember having a service done and the dealer charged me to change the cabin filter. When I found the area there was no filter 1994 Toyota Camry.
Went to AutoZone and they also told me my car didn’t have one in the system (1994 Camry) then I searched the Lexus equivalent like a 1994 Lexus ES300 and it came up with multiple filters that work although they are hard to find in stock because they are old stock. Part numbers are CAF7783 and CAF1783 for STP. Good luck y’all
This is hard to believe. Even Toyota dealers tell me there is no filter. What is the part number for the new filter you put in? If it's a Toyota part number, then someone at the dealer has a lot of explaining to do.
Apparently it is the same as the 1996 Lexus ES300. My ‘96 Camry has the spot for one, but there is no filter inside. Going to buy the filters and see if they fit. Update: Yes, the 1996 Lexus ES300 cabin air filters fit in the 1996 Camry’s slot! I got mine from NAPA, part number FIL 4895.
Also went to Toyota and they told me my 95 didn’t have one. I said check the drivers side. He was all about looking under the glove box. I’m in Australia. So guess it’s next to our foot rest pedal. Thanks for this !!!!
Omg, i never knew that. My '93 camry bit the dust 4 years ago. I just replace my cabin air filter(2nd time) for my '13 corolla, just wondered if my 93 camry had one. Wow.
This was super helpful. Im trying to keep my old 96 Camry running in good condition and this helps a lot. I've been wondering about that filter for a minute.
I've got a 1996 Toyota Corona, found the filter cover in the same place as yours, but no filter in place. Now all I have to do is try and work out what air filter is going to fit after I vacuum it out. It's currently full of broken down leaves which might explain the smell that's just started.
This is crazy. I can't believe you found that! I've got a 1999 and will have to check to see if the 1997-2001 model Camry has the air filter in the same place. Insane! Does anyone know if it does?
The cabin filter part number of brand Denso is 453-1002 & 453-1004

I have a 1996 Camry and called the auto parts and they all said there is no air filter made for this car. So how did you have a filter?
Yeah they will say that but you need to ask a cabin filter for lexus es300 1998 and they are the same

I'm assuming that's the blower motor resistor right next to it too huh 🤔

I had been strugling with a 1999 toyota camry. So far I didn't find it. Please let me know if you find it by any chance.
