Somewhat. The only thing certain in this life is change. However, he still tours and it's not for the money. So I would argue there remains a younger version beneath all the decades of life's wear & tear. As I approach my senior years, I've learned that's something you cannot really talk about to anyone, you just have to experience it. Then after you do, you're unable to talk about it - if that makes any sense. Those of a certain age will understand & give this a thumbs up. Keep dancing!
@@nicetna2010I think I have a lot of years left to fully understand, but I can see where you’re coming from. To end up where you are at now is the culmination of all the life you have lived. I did see Jimmy last summer (finally) and I can say after seeing him alive that you are right, he still has that spark!
@@dannydukes5 Dont be sad. 76 is not to young. I lost any friends before 30... Jimmy will NEVWR die in spirit. In fact I'm plotting my course back to Key West as I type. Jimmy passing definitely has the keys calling me home.
Ive had the absolute pleasure to see this song played live more than a few times. But this video is different. This was magic, you see it on all of the faces, pure joy. These were the OG Parrotheads. Rest easy JB
Late 1970's early 80's. This was so wonderful. Legendary recording of very good quality. He was on his way "up" at this time of his career. Great Upload!
Back then the Keys were a serious slice of paradise. I grew up with Jimmy Buffett playing in the local bars. We were all a bit crazy back then. In fact, I'm in this video. Great party! Beer was flowing and I remember eating lots of shrimp. We were all so very young.
Had to come back to this prime example of the joy this man brought to so many.
Rest east Jimmy.
Hope you and Jerry Jeff are jamming up in the sky.
He could tell a story. He will be so missed. ❤️
Forever a legendary singer. Missed by so many
1946-2023
Imagine all the places he has played, from this small place, to the biggest show he has ever done. It’s really cool to think about.
Pre Parrot Head. My people
The whole parrot head thing was the commercialized downfall. This era was the real deal.
Although Jimmy Buffett is still alive, THIS Jimmy Buffett is long gone. What a magical time to have been in Key West

Buffet is so young in this video...the voice is different -- better. Ahhh...what is it about the Keys?

Some white people can dance! The key word being "some".
My head hurts, my feet stink and I don't love jezuey...
The guy that burps at the end is the sound guy, bob lazar.
This is the dearest video and song.
I remeber seeing jJimmy at University of Michigan for the first time him and 3 other guys fingers was one of them probably in 1973 or 74
Wow awesome video!!
1974
Anyone have any idea where this was recorded?
Lantern Inn I believe. On stock island Key.
Now, Chico’s Mexican restaurant.
One of my favorites. As a man you need to know how to waltz.
Greatm song
I was singing this on Friday not knowing that Jimmy was passing into the great unknown. He brought so much joy to people
