Maximum Force is a light gun shooter arcade game developed by Mesa Logic for Atari Games in 1997. The player plays the role of an unnamed counter-terrorist agent who engages in three major combat zones. These areas are under siege by terrorists and the player must kill the terrorists before they take aim and fire at the player character. Shooting hostages or getting shot by terrorists causes the player to lose lives. There are several power-ups in the game, such as rapid-fire mode for the player's gun or a powerful single-shot mode. Shooting windows, barrels, cars, and other objects increases the player's score.
First I play the three stages and added three secret rooms to the end of the video. -

I remember playing this and thinking how amazing the graphics were because the people looked real.
Hahahaha
In fact
Live action digitized graphics except the protagonist of the game the player is playing as is 3D rendered.
Also, I know this game didn't age all that well, but I remember I always admired the length and structure of the levels. The things that happen like explosions, people coming in on bikes, planes crashing, under water levels...that was what got me the most.
I quite liked this game back in the day. Little disappointed that the enemies didn't have any kind of death animation; they just exploded in a burst of blood...
I agree that they don't have any death animations but then again some new games don't have realistic damage.
Fortunately, the game's pseudo-sequel Target: Terror has you covered in that regard.
17:26 Bank vault secured...
*Bank's entire rooftop explodes*
lmao

This game clearly lacks regard for civilians, as shown by the first level exploding with civilians inside.
And on another note, I find it a bit creepy that all the characters in the game are live-action except for the player, who is a weirdly-rendered CGI character.
Both games really bring me back i grew up with the series
Is nobody really going to compliment the game's soundtrack? This is by far my favorite soundtrack from John Paul.
man the house hold version of this game is A LOT easier than the arcade version. my god i could play this version without even getting hit.
Old school gold love this game
I remember this game. It looks so bad now.
I wish i could play this again
Why does this game look like a Universal Studios Ride when you shift perspectives?
Maybe our super SF Cops got Jet-packs?
@@Nestalgba92023 Fun fact: The two screams of the innocent girl in this game was later used in Below Deck S2 E2 and S3 E4.
Was that rooftop cemented with TNT? lol
Brings back memories...
I remember playing this game. It was ok at the time I played it, but looking at it now it didn't age well at all.
if you shoot the skull on the sign you get a random power up to spawn.
This was another arcade game that scared me as a kid, because of the blood and stuff. But now, I think the FMV people on top of the 3D backgrounds is charmingly cheesy.
I played this game & it was hard as hell
nostalgia to the max
So there was Area 51, Maximum Force and finally Target: Terror. The trio of digitized chaos, generous chest shots and random minigames.
Aand it wouldn't be a proper shooter without the dumb civilians showing up at the worst of times... situation awareness is just lost on some people.
agreed wholeheartedly! even Target=Terror, with all its flaws was dozens of times more entertaining & satisfying than this game, IMO. Area 51 had E.T.s, this had nothing that could redeem it much...not even the laughably bad CGI.
Atari tried to keep it going at least in arcade games
Oh wow it's only now all these years later I realized something: all civilians in the game wear white shirts or dresses (or lab coats in the case of the first mission). I wish I had noticed that back when I played this in arcades as a kid, whenever a civilian jumped onto screen kinda like an enemy I'd always either accidentally shoot them or thankfully just barely miss. Had my younger self noticed that one detail I probably would have wasted less quarters.
Crazy thing is that I thought all the enemies where grinning when they were attacking you
Arrow brought me here!
this game use to give me nightmares as a kid.
Southgate lanes(now strikers) in the 90s
Still better than CoD(fish)
4:15 the game suddenly becomes Half-Life 2.
😂
New York Crisis:
FBI battles Gangs
First game that features the TMP and P90, it's really weird.
well, they aren't featured as weapons for the player in game, but okay
It'S MAXIMUM STRIKE FORCE MISSION TIME!!!!!!
I love the 90s
Reload reload reload reload! Lmao
wow cool gameplay
Who are searching for bugs, metals and fruits in a military camp?
ROFL at hot science girls crawling around with their asses in the air and whatnot.
totally not fan service.
ホーンテッド・ミュージアムのミニゲーム
Well, catching bugs.
Ah yes, the cheap light gun shooter with digitized graphics...how I remember thee.
그래픽 실제처럼보여서 보는재미굿..
eh. area 51 gave me nightmares.

There was a shitty knockoff version that had a mall level, what was that one called?
Probably Target Terror?
TheGoldenFreezer Perhaps, but I remember it being called Sheer Force for some reason.
Austin Reed this game was made in 1996. Target Terror was made in 2004.
@@user-mz2tw8yk8o Target Terror by Raw Thrills, Eugene Jarvis' company that made The Fast and the Furious arcade game? Target Terror even came out the same year as ICE/Play Mechanix's Johnny Nero Action Hero comic book gun game.
Ever wanted to know how boring a light gun game could be? You're looking at a shining example.
Sorry I'm disliked your comment, because I pushed the dislike button accidentaly. :(
