I have only just found these Roux brother series videos. I've been a avid home cook for years. I grew up on tv chiefs in the 90's. I have worked in kitchens but couldn't handle the heat so to speak. Love my food and cooking relaxes me. Finding the real fundamentals of gastronomy was a triumph. Every modern amateur dish I cook, can now be improved after seeing the correct methods of cooking shown here. If I had had youtube when I was leaving school, and had seen this, then who know? Could have been a real tre bon time.
I never met Albert, but Michel was always the CHEF in any restaurant. In a place I worked in he used to just barge into the kitchen and shake the hand of the chef over the pass, as if it was his place, and no one would even considers stopping him.
Fun video. I love their approach to food. It is scientific and esoteric at the same time. I can see why many great chefs-in-the-making wanted to learn from them.
A vegan woman recently gave birth to a newborn and opted for breastfeeding. Her vegan diet did not supply sufficient vitamins and nutrients for the breast milk and the baby died of malnutrition. The point is, it's about survival. To continue to live well, you have to eat well and that includes a diet comprised of fruits, vegetables as well as meat. Choosing not to eat meat is one thing, trying to force your beliefs and "vegan bash" people for their lifestyle choice is another.
For all the fundamentalists just Google "do hens lay eggs without a rooster" 😉 thank you very much for not putting to waste nature's resources, eat your eggs.
"Do you feel morally superior to nazis?" - I don't feel morally superior to anyone. Morality is arbitrary, and I have never seen any evidence to suggest otherwise. "The only thing history shows is x" - this implies that you believe history only shows one thing and one thing only... If that is't the very definition of a "stupid comment" I don't know what is.
Your aggressive comments don't help anyone, not even the animals you're trying to "save" through your slacktivism. All you're doing is feeding your own ego to make yourself feel better for thinking you've done something when you haven't really achieved or accomplished anything.
that's the most ignorant comment i've ever seen. I'd love to see the inner workings of such a simple mind where rape and eating eggs are considered analogous.
Pretty much everyone would agree, unless your a sociopath, that it's wrong to cause “unnecessary” suffering to animals. I maintain that 'taste' is not a good enough reason to justify suffering and killing of billions of animals. To me that is clearly “unnecessary” suffering. If animals have an interest in continuing to live, as I maintain they do simply by virtue of being sentient, then there is only one plausible conclusion: any use-however “humane”-is unjust.
Never knew the Roux brothers had their own show! This is truly a gem to find.
We lost a culinary giant. Let's watch these videos with fondness and great memories. Rest in peace Michel.
We've lost two now..

They were two of the greatest chefs ever R.I.P in cookery heaven Albert & Michel so sadly missed .
I love this family. Class act
This is lovely, I love the banter and sibling only could know the pestering of each other... :) wonderful
And 'Mama' put up with many years of this brotherly bickering!! 😄
RIP Albert
Those 2 brothers who taught the great Marco Pierre White!!!
Marco would have you believe that, he leaned more in other places, Marco’s a bit of a story teller
@@SeeRedz You're an idiot, if you don't believe that Marco has been mentored by the Roux's. Especially, by Albert.
Pretty much taught everyone we know today as a michelin starred chef.
@@CooManTunes He is not a chef Disregard him
But Marco never worked at The Waterside Inn did he?
I love alberts apology in the beginning
Beautiful

The level of mastery in this video is off the charts.
R.I.P. Michel roux sr.🙏🏻

These are historical figures for Britain
what kind of eggs were the biggest ones? I couldn't understand them.
How do I set it so I can't see comments from certain people? Gloomyvegan's comments are annoying me and keep cropping up all over the place.

Others arguing about moral, attitude etc. I want to watch it OK. It's about FOOD OK.
This is a video about FOOD..why is everyone commenting about morals and whatnot? Honestly ._.
bloodfortime it’s called jealousy .... plain and simple ....
only on youtube..
Michel loved his brother albert so much. When Albert died feb 2020,he can't take it and died too on Nov 2020.
Michel died first and albert after his grief was great for little brother
Younger brother looks most fun, even if a wild card.
These two remind me of pinky and the brain. :-)
seems like the only moral alternative humanity has got is to just go away
It's called survival. Be thankful that the French waste very little when it comes to cooking animals.
Michel Roux pinched Albert's face!!! Hahaha!!
Im here to learn how to fry an egg. I've already fried many thousand but i want to learn how to do it properly.
Why?
Oo laa laa.
How did I get this video suggested to me under a Harlem shake video..
@stuartdagley
Good Eats is another good cooking show.
Do the Harlem Shake
This show is all about FOODS ok!
For all the fundamentalists just Google "do hens lay eggs without a rooster" 😉
thank you very much for not putting to waste nature's resources, eat your eggs.

never kill an innocent animal, only the guilty ones
I’m early
They cant compare to Jacques Pepin!!
True but the player is the face of the game.
Ahhhh a lifetime of animal abuse,.how wonderful and proud you must be!
viva la france

Like all abusers they want the Truth to be hidden. You want me to shut up so you don't have to look at the reality of your actions.
