It was great to share the unveiling of your stellar crocks. Love your passion. It does feel so good to make that piece that gets you excited about being a potter. Always enjoy your videos Sally. Thanks once again.
Gosh Sally, I had a smile on my face the whole time. Your work is so beautiful as always. I just love all of your detailed explanations. They make sense and give me inspiration. I chuckled when you got excited with your work and justifiably so. At the studio I go to, we all show each other what we have done. We share ideas and give advice. It's such a nice atmosphere. Watching your videos gives me that same feeling. I would love to watch you work. I live in Utah in the U.S.
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication... Love your aesthetic sense, you never overdo anything.. your work brings out the beauty of the glazes you use... Love and all the best to you 🥰
Nice work. I also enjoy Opulence glazes. I’m in an opposite climate from you in Montana where we’ve been in cold weather already. The below freezing temperatures can effect my kiln results but Opulence glasses are winners every time.
That kiln load is fantastic. I made one of your ashtrays. It has not sold yet, but it causes people to stop to see what it is, then they come into the tent to shop. So, thanks for increasing my sales!
Nice to see you back. It’s lovely to see you light up when you are proud of your work. We should be proud when it looks spectacular. One last thing, if I absolutely love a piece I make, I quickly make another and sell that one. I always keep my favourites. Try it.
The tire in the background keeps it 'real". Otherwise, a Potter selling retail in Jamacia sounds like a charmed life. :) Thanks for sharing - wonderful work as always.
Thanks for sharing! As a new clay crafter it is so helpful to receive the details. I love the glazes you have used and will be searching for them. Your commissioned jars and the bowl are beautiful!
Lovely again Sally! And nothing strange about admairing your own work! I do that regularly sitting with one of my own mugs and stroking it because the glaze is so nice😂
My first time seeing your videos. Loved that large bowel. Thank you for sharing. I am also experimenting with Amaco and Mayco glazes. I will be visiting your channel often.
Sally, I have watched a few of your videos and want to thank you for such an enjoyable and fresh attitude. You inspire me to try some of your ideas and I love how you are relaxed in your presentation. Thank you again for sharing!
First time finding your video and enjoyed every minute. I love your casual unedited style, your work and your generous, sharing spirit. Thank you :) Oh - and I just loved the way you delighted in your work as it came out of the kiln.
I fire to 2167 with a 20 minute hold to reach cone 6. I’ve also learned to use the Diamond Core 1500 grit pad to get a very smooth bottom for my mugs! Wonderful video buddy!❤
Lovely to see you back Sally, a great firing 👏 I would love to see you making the saucer’s and following through with the raised flowers with the stroke and coat ? 💚
Hi Sally, thanks for sharing your results. I really like how you used the underglaze decoration with Ultra White. I have been trying to formulate a white glaze like that will show underglazes without any real success. The glaze would usually go hazy over the underglaze painting or get a mottled effect. Does Ultra White ever have any issues like that? I've always had black underglazes shift to a blue as well. I've given up on trying to remedy that. Ultra White is really pricey... it must have tin in it as an opacifier. It probably doesn't have another opacifier because Ultrox is what normally causes the haziness and I haven't been willing to make a white with just tin.. it's expensive. Just wondering how reliable Ultra White is for this use. I would assume the specific gravity of the glaze and how long it is dipped will play a role. Thanks for any info.
It’s not “pathetic” when you admire your own work. In fact, there is no place for modesty in clay! The reality is… the Clay Gods use you as a tool to turn the clay into what they want it to be. Surely you know that by now.
Sally, that pair of crocks! Wow! You were right to be blown away. Your client will be thrilled. I love your style!
Sally those two pieces are just stunning! I would not want to sell them

That sounds like an excellent idea!
It was a commissioned piece so had to part with it but will be making more for sure.

Thanks - I am almost too real at times. Enjoy your day
@@SallyRoperPotterynever too real …don’t ever change 😊

I am so impressed and happy you got new elements and changed them yourself! You're a pro now!
Not the first time nor will it be the last
You’re so cool, Sally!
The mugs are a great commission for you!

Thanks. I hope you enjoy making similar pieces and don’t be afraid to add your own unique touch.
Love your unedited video! It's so fun when you run out to get a piece from your studio! Love the 2 planters and the bowl! So beautiful! Take care!
Wow what a bowl
Glad to see you again!
I have 3 sets of wheels and tires in my garage. Luckily I have an amazing community studio nearby since I have no room for a kiln 💕
You are such a lovely person 😊
Thank for the video, great info.. I haven't seen any of your videos before, glad I found you!
Que bellas piezas❤❤❤❤❤
Gorgeous 💕 thank you

Thanks Andrea. I do enjoy the surprises my kiln offers. I don’t edit- I leave flaws, mistakes and keep it real.
Outstanding work. I love your videos. Your pots with the triangles are just beautiful. Admire all you want. Excited to see the next ones you create.
Just awesome sea-spray w/rutile and lt flux. Could have never planned for such great results. Great idea that worked with stunning results.
I did not know what to expect, am beyond thrilled.
I love your videos and your glazing. Your pieces are always so pretty. I hope you do more videos!
Thank you! Will do!

Thanks Frank. I also use DC to smooth the bottom of all my pieces.
Lovely to see you back Sally, a great firing 👏 I would love to see you making the saucer’s and following through with the raised flowers with the stroke and coat ? 💚
Ok. Will give it a go !!
Love your work Sally! Trying to see how I can get opulence glazes in the uk. We could do with some of your sunshine over here 😅 x
Good luck and am sending sunshine.
Thanks so much!
Enseñanos hacer ese bols tan hermoso ❤❤❤
Beautiful work Sally and I tried the sea spray because of your recommendation and what a beautiful glaze!
Yup. Never disappoints unless it is too thin - always test specific gravity and you won’t go wrong.
Have you shared a video on how you make your cone packs? I like your design better than some others I have seen.
Lovely video. Has anyone told you that you look like Jamie lee curtis? I need to make ornaments too. TFS
Appreciate talking about your kiln and firing. What does the hold do? Does it help reduce pinholes?

Did you use a Steve's tool for the texture on the garlic dishes?
Is it a wax resist you are putting on the olives and flowers before dipping?
Great Sally. What do you glaze fire to thank you. So love your work.
Normally 5 1/2 but this one went to a full ^6. Opulence reduction glazes love ^6.
Wondering how much water do you add or do you need a gravity tester
Dipping is sooooo much faster

Indeed I do.
