I still disagree with the logic of Runyon on the right, Eluminor or the left. Runyons numbers were always better on the left and Eluminor has spent most of his career on the right side. Much like everyone wants to talk about wrs and tes and maximizing their skills, our two biggest free agent OL we are not going to maximize to salvage a 1st rd tackle. Combine that not having the guy who has played both guard and tackle at the NFL level and can help fix some of the flaws by being next to neal and helping make adjustments in practice could really step up his game. Unless the whole point is to have Eluminor ready to slide into LT if there is a Thomas injury, the flipping of sides seems like you're making both FA work with their off hand, which really should not be considering our line play over the past seasons. As for Johnson getting more touches then Bellinger, that is going to come down more to the 11 vs 12 personnel you discussed. If they run more 11 personnel then until the line proves solid that would be more Bellinger because he is the better blocker of the two, and will be chipping and such. Now if they do use 12 personnel more then I completely agree that Johnson will see more receptions and numbers because he is the more athletic receiver and will make a great security blanket while Bellinger is taking on more for the pass protection duties
Eluemenor wants to play RT. They might be worried he might sabotage Neal in order to move to Tackle. Eluemenor is only on 1 yr deal and he wants Tackle money next yr.
@Thagomizer-U235 Eluminor is a 2 year deal, now not sure how much is locked in vs savings if cut, but it's not a 1 and done if they decide to keep him. Similar to the Slayton contract, it's 2 year low cost so I don't see him going anywhere till 2026
@@Wheels84ss 2yr 14mil 6.75 guaranteed. If he plays tackle well this yr he can have mysterious illness hold in to get get tackle money next yr. If he plays guard he has no leverage.
Patti: predictions that the Giants will have fewer 12 personnel because Daboll will be calling plays, is an ASSUMPTION. You are assuming that they did so much 12 personnel bc the line stunk. And you’re ASSUMING that the line will be a lot better.
I've been beating the drum about the poor play inside on the o-line since day 1 and folks kept blaming it on: 1. Jones not being able to manage the pocket. If the interior is what is collapsing, then what pocket was he suppose to manage? That's why they had him rolling out to his right all the time, because they knew the interior wasn't going to hold up! 2. Saquon "losing a step". If 5 o-linemen only win 38% of the time, you could put Barry Sanders back there doing his best dance moves and even he's not going to be able to get it done. Remember, he retired because he knew his line was breaking down and that was nowhere near as bad as last year's disaster for the Giants. Imagine what it must have been like to be Kafka last year. You pretty much had to be in max protect all the time and hope that 2 pass catchers could beat 4-6 cover guys!!!! That's the definition of madness. If that o-line doesn't play markedly better, Kafka is going to be laughing his head off as Daboll tries to call plays. And Shoen will have to answer questions about why he didn't draft the top 2 guards in this draft.
Im hoping having runyan practice RG and elemunar practice LG is just for flexibility and depth. Still makes no sense to move them to opposite sides if runyan likes LG more and isn't gonna take over RT if necessary
Bellinger is my choice to take Waller's snaps, Theo has a lot to prove and I think that Bellinger is better than you think. Giants new uniforms are as ugly as you get; I hope they squash that idea. I am hoping that Tre Hawkins takes a big step to become the #2 CB; he has tremendous athleticism. Can't wait to see Nabers and Hyatt on the field together.
@@Thagomizer-U235 DJ definitely has a tendency to throw high fast balls on shorter routes. But quite a few of those int's did indeed go through Barkley's hands.
Another great video Patty! I’m hoping Daboll is calling the plays. It’s do or die for him. Time for him to show his stuff. Still rattled by yesterdays podcast where your guest said we made a mistake not taking JJ. I would be more nervous with him and no big receivers to throw to than Daniel Jones.
Waller may have 52rec, but he was targeted 74. 70% is low for TE. He was only charged with 3 drops but he could have caught several balls that were thrown his way. Bellinger was targeted 28, and had 25 rec, 0 drops, elite 86% completion. Hoping Belly gets at least 50 tgts 40rec 350yd 3TD this yr. Theo can get 50 tgts too and that's your 100 tgts that went to TEs last yr.
Patti, this question may be something you are planning to address in the future, because it has to do with players in the final year of their rookie contract, but a player who comes to mind is Azeez Ojulari. His injury history has limited his time on the playing field, enough for it to be an issue. When on the field, he seems to be a valued member of the defense, but the problem is he is off the field as much or more than he is on it. If you were to speculate, do you think he'll be offered a contract extension? Thanks.
Once again I think that the Giants screwed up the draft. I'm not going it to way and who I think that they should have picked. I will say drafting a RB was a poor pick. RB Eric Gray can be that RB out of the backfield. At some point I was hoping that they would have drafted an IOL. Maybe a player like C/G Beaux Limmer or a G/T prospect. I always feel that an OL must be picked, at least for the Giants until they have their starters in place along with good backups. Our LT & C positions were hurt last year. If Thomas gets hurt again I think that we draft a very good OT next year, regardless of side. The Giants shouldn't let Neal tell them where he'll play. If he plays poorly again we should move him to LG. He use to play LT so the guard position on the left side should be a easy transition. Maybe have him take some reps at LT. If Thomas gets hurt move Neal to LT
Hello Ptrain another great video as always. I think Nebars will help Daniel Jones be a better QB he gets open quickly and runs excellent routes. I think our running backs by committee will be a solid group and will have a solid contribution rushing game. I think our oline will be much better this year and that should help Jones be more productive passer. I love Brian DaBoll calling offensive plays his strenth is offensive creativity. Waller is gone I think Bellinger and Theo Johnson should be solid receivers and this will also help Daniel Jones. I think Giants offense should be in mid 20s points per game. I am predicting 7 to 10 wins this season. Ptain keep up the great work looking forward to your next video go Gmen.
Thanks Patti! Look forward to your show every day
Thanks Moo.

Tyrone Tracy WAS a WR, if he makes the squad, he can replace Barkley in the recieving game
I know.
I think Tracey can surpass Barkley in receptions. And have less drops. 2 of DJs ints last year were balls Barkley should have caught.
@@Thagomizer-U235 So those 5 yard lasers with absolutely no touch that DJ was throwing to Barkley didn't aid in those int's whatsoever.
@@cooldude7821 And they weren't perfect location, but still, he got 2 hands on the ball and they should have been caught.

I would add JMS to the list of second year players that need to take step up this year.
No question.
I had him on my list, but I narrowed it down to one on offense and one on defense. But I do agree with you.
@@LockedOnGiantsNFL did JMS put on any weight in the off-season? He was a bit undersized.

Yes. JMS has to step up. All the second and third year draft picks have to improve.
