    I am really not sure why your videos get so many thumbs down; I find the videos very helpful, even though they are technically too advanced for me. Perhaps people are mad that you are not posting tabs anywhere, and the request comes up a lot. While I think tabs would be superficially helpful, I do not think in the long run they really help because there is no avenue for experimentation that way. I hope you get your web site going soon.

      Haha thanks. My videos get a lot of thumbs down because someone unleashed a bot on my channel. They all came on the exact same day and they're all from Vietnam and Romania=) I tried to get rid of them but there's nothing to do...

    doesn't maqam siqa have a 3/4 flat E and B?

    • @MuratKMusic
      @MuratKMusic  8 років тому +1

      the e (tonic) would be slightly flat on Turkish segah, and the the B and C sharp would also be flat if it was Huzzam, a related makam, but what I'm showing here is guitar approximations.

    • @aharonfernandez6359
      @aharonfernandez6359 8 років тому +1

      +Murat Keyder right 1/2 flat is what I meant dont know why I wrote 3/4

    Isn’t Phrygian itself Greek?

    • @MuratKMusic
      @MuratKMusic  2 роки тому

      Greek and Turkish music all use the same scales. It's not really meaningful to say who it originally belongs to.
