Including Fighting Boxers who were bigger than him and won..
Even when they cheated..
While Snake is just trained in Stealth Espionage, 15 martial arts, and is not wearing bullet proof under the suit..

Bowser : "Why am I so slow when I'm fighting this fat plumber ?"
In most games, Bowser can actually be pretty fast (most notably when he sprints in Super Mario 64 or the last section of the 3D Land final battle). Problem is, he needs room to get going; because Mario is much smaller than Bowser, he’s more agile and can outmaneuver the Koopa king.
@@JBX9001 I'd also chalk it up to him thinking he doesn't NEED to run because he thinks he has the situation handled.... which ends up being his downfall.
I don’t think tap sprinting or whatever it’s called is the best option for every character. Although it’s technically faster, I think for some of the characters it causes them to get stuck in between the blocks or stop right before the stage when they would’ve made it with one more stride.

I think he’s doing it on purpose to make the people he hates lose
Like how sheik made it further than captain falcon in less time, and how squirtle didn't make it, but charizard did.
Tap sprinting just is visually unappealing so I cringe every time I see it.

Some fighters got stuck on steps that others wouldn't trip over.
Also, Pyra, Sora, and normal Sephiroth, etc., were able to float and ignore the steps, but they didn't have enough speed and fell down.
Bowser Jr With Side B:FUUUUUUU-
Some characters are either getting stuck on the blocks, or you’re flicking the analog stick. Making them dash instead of running. Either way or neither, some characters should’ve gone further.
Because it's not only about speed, the steep inclination has a huge impact on this challenge. Heavier characters with longer steps don't get interfered as much as faster characters wtih faster movements, while characters who have float movement didn't get impacted at all.

I feel like Jigglypuff could have made it had you had her on full charge and charge through the block
Its probably be hard, considering that she might roll off the platform first. Either way, I’m glad to see it fail.
Pretty sure if she hit the block she'd bounce off it, though she undoubtedly makes it at full speed
Since when is jigglypuff a girl? They don't have any gender differences in pokemon, and I'm pretty sure smash lore doesn't go that deep

You know, I remember in the Subspace Emissary, Bowser ran super fast when he saw Ganondorf as a trophy and tried to murder the shit out of him, but I never realized that was basically his run speed.
There is no justifiable reason why bowser makes that, but good for him regardless.

Ike, the first Fire Emblem character to fall in this challenge. They seem to be doing better than normal here.
The ones that were just barely fast enough were perhaps the most satisfying to watch. Not sure if some of them were dashing or just getting stuck on each block somehow, though. Either way, it looked kind of janky.

You should make a tier list based on how good every character is at challenges
Sonic will be S tier to every challenge based on high speed
@@kardaran7345not necessarily, there is a number of challenges where a cieling may be too low and he can’t complete them.
Steve is definitely in the top 10 if not number one overall. Prowder had to rework his stage three times just to make it so steve couldn’t win.
@@atsukana1704 Well, even then Kardaran still has a point. Sonic is literally the fastest character so wind isn’t an issue and he has a stall and fall dair, so even vertical wind isn’t that much of an issue in most cases. The only challenges he’s failed at are challenges with too low of ceilings or ones based on disjoined range

honestly i think over all sonic would probably be B tier, other characters like steve pilachu pac man mew two and wario almost always out perform him.

Yeah I noticed that what they were maybe doing was foxtrotting but because they got stuck. But then I saw ness dead stop and Kirby basically have a redo with power ups then I knew they were doing the bias thing they go through where they just force certain characters to lose.

A lot of characters are having trouble with this slope in general. Sheik clears it very comfortably where falcon has it on his heels, and sheik is not the faster of those two.

Everybody is talking about Sonic completing speed challenges but nobody is talking about Captain Falcon clearing a speed challenge since he is the 2nd fastest fighter in the smash roster

I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice characters like Ness not making it nearly as far as they should've
It almost seems like some characters are getting 'caught' between the blocks during their runs and that's causing them to be slower than they should be.
EDIT: watching Wii Fit Trainer not even make it past the first block on the slope feels like a confirmation for me.
It looked like to me some of the characters got stuck on the lower part of the ramp before the explosion got to them

Inciniroar, the slowest character in the game, I guess is only the slowest on flat areas
I think this challenge as a whole deserves a redo. Multiple characters either stuttered or came to a full stop before they even had a chance to get to their full running speed.
It's either that or the uploader is purposely giving certain characters an advantage over others, in which case it would be immoral and false representation.

Something about the incline seems a bit unfair. Mainly the fact that some characters appear to struggle with the ramp. Kinda like they bump into it as certain points. I feel a straight run would be a true determining factor. Great vid otherwise 👍

Some characters are also getting stuck between the blocks between their running animations, so they have to clear it by foxtrotting as well.
Yes , example: Lucario s' fox trot is faster than running.

It's not just run speed that's the issue. If it was, Wii Fit Trainer should have cleared by all rights. The blocks themselves seem to be slowing people down, but I don't exactly know why.

Well Bowser was a surprise, I didn't know he had such a fast running speed. Imagine having that huge turtle dinosaur thing run towards you at that speed 😰
