I just purchased the 2" swing away binder.. I am super excited to use it as I make Calf coats and have been folding and trimming my calf coats all by hand.. this should make my job so much easier..

How can I turn 90 degree corner using this binder?
Got any tips on tension settings when using binder attachment? My test piece (marine canvas, v92, #20 needle) looks great. Then get loose and skipped stitches on bottom side, even with top tension maxed out.
I find that the center foot is typically not raising up enough when that happens. If you need help with that task email support@sailrite.com and ask for the video on adjusting the presser feet height.

Hey there! Do you sell a binder for a machine that has a top load bobbin? My swing away doesn’t line up with my top load machine because of the bobbin plate. Thanks!
Sorry, we do not. Typically a top load bobbin has a slide plate that must be drilled and tapped for 6-30 threads for attachments.

Will this fit a Juki DNU 1541s?
Can I use one with a Bernita u30 record with standard fabrics and 1/2 double food bias tape?
I do not think your sewing machine has two threaded holes to the right of the needle plate. If it does not, then it will not work, sorry.

It is rather difficult to turn 90 degrees with a straight angle binder and stiff binding. It is easier to do that with a right angle binder, which we do not sell.

Where to buy in Holland?
When I try this with 3/4” binder & 3/4 polyester herringbone binding it will start ok but eventually it ends up folded unevenly with the bottom side getting more than half the binding & the top half getting less than half & eventually the needle will miss the top side. I’m getting the fabric assembly all the way in so that’s not an issue. What am I doing wrong?

Will it work with heavy duty nylon webbing? Most of my outdoor gear needs binding heavier than the typical binding
It is hard to say, since I am not sure of the hand and thickness of the webbing you are using. You can send a sample to me for testing if you like. If you do send about 2 feet and send attention to Eric Grant.

Puedes hacerlo ahora. Para cambiar los subtítulos cerrados automáticos que UA-cam genera a otro idioma, todo lo que necesita hacer es activar CC y hacer clic en Configuración / Subtítulos / CC, luego hacer clic en traducir automáticamente y seleccionar su idioma.

Does it work with smaller binding?
