OVERLANDING AFRICA IN OUR SPRINTER VAN | Our road trip through Morocco continues after our amazing experience with van life in Dakhla! On our last day in the area we head out in a 4X4 and explore the secret spot & white dune. We then quickly drive our van to Marrakesh where Lee flies in from Canada to meet us. Though we've been in Morocco for over a month now we still manage to get scammed in the night market of Marrakesh and of course we catch it all on film!!

FYI We took the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier Med and it cost each campervan 180 euros and took about 1.5 hours. Tangier Med is a relatively new port and is very well maintained which led to a seamless border crossing. To all those making the journey, GOOD LUCK and remember not to bring your drone!

Being a traveler and a moroccan. The scam didn't make me proud so please when it comes to tourism in big cities forget all what you have received as hospitality in small ones or even countryside. Avoid any random geniune help from strangers and stick to your plan (TripAdvisor, Blog posts, other vloggers and most importantly your gut) the information on the internet is literally infinite for visiting Marrakech. Last but not least, It is not rude to ignore scammers or hard pushy salesmen trust me they know what they are doing to you so just ignore them. All the love guys !

Like the shop staff trying to rip me off because they didnt think id know what currency was what, that among other things I'd not return if i was paid to return
I didn't have any dramas at the airport thankfully but i did have a Airbnb banging the shit out of my door demanding more money so he could go clubbing at midnight, claiming he would pay me back in the morning which I believed to be complete shit. Honestly I feel any picture you see pan slightly in any direction and youll see just how trashed/impoverish and disgusting the place is for the most part, im sure there's nice areas did i see them in my 1000km road trip? No. What i dont understand is the bulk rubbish everywhere sure you may be in poverty but you dont have to be pigs and clearly the country needs money if you want tourists to return dont try rip them off/treat them like shit because theres plenty of other options out there that will treat you better. As you can tell i thoroughly enjoyed my Moroccan visit

I had heard many horror stories that a local will see that your lost and then guide you down a back alley to a dead end where someone they were working with would demand money etc. I saw that we were getting caught up in this and didn’t even realize how EASILY it happens!

If I was living and travelling in my home, I'd spend the money on dealership fixes too. Getting your transport fixed whilst hoteling or Airbnb'ing is one thing but not when getting the van fixed and being homeless. No brainer x

The food looks so amazing! And yes, it is almost impossible to walk around and not get lost, but also so many people will help you get around, but they will ask for money all the time. It was almost hard to get around just because everyone is trying to sell you something, but still wonderful, just a bit tiring. Have a blast!! Take care everyone.

I haven't been to Marrakesh, but in another poor city (Oaxaca city, Mexico). Ppl even kids were constantly trying to sell me something non stop.

Thank you for constantly giving us, adventure footage, where you are traveling, and or living in new places and in the van. I also LOVE, and appreciate, that while you are Vegans, your not trying to force that on other people. And I am excited to see Lee, as it was Max and Lee that started me on this journey, and helped me find you guys. I am immensely sorry to hear of the issues, that Lee had, but alas sometimes great things come to and end, to facilitate new beginnings! And PLEASE when you get back to Europe, especially Germany. Just catching up on your Morocco vids since being without service in El Salvador. We had basically the same experience when in Fez, but the guy said something along the lines of, "Do you want to pay or do you want a problem." It freaked us out big time. We didn't exactly enjoy exploring the big cities because the vibe was 100% different from the kindness of the locals found in the countrysides. We became very calloused tbh and spent as little time as possible in Marrakech and especially Fez. As you said, at least it's over now! And so happy to see you sweet Lee 🤗
Even thought i just found u guys... A week ago.. Let me tell u in my current days of.. My daughter all grown up n moved away.. Getting to share ur travels helped my loneliness... God Bless !!!... U both have beautiful souls ty!!!
TriciAnn my last child just moved out so I bought a van and Im about 75% done with converting it i to my new home. I will be traveling the world by fall 2020! Get out there girl! Im 46 and divorced and Im starting the adventure of my lifetime. Do something that you want to do. This is your time. At least until grandchildren come.

I'm re-watching a lot of these old videos that I have missed along the way so that I can fill in gaps that need to be filled in. I'm so happy I came across this video of when Lee joined Eamon & Bec in Morocco . What a beaming soul and smile. I know it's very sad, and she is missed, but this video can take your day where anxiety is running high, to a calmness and peace watching these three smile and laugh and enjoying life free, and with each other.

Such a fun episode! Loved watching this! The music choice was awesome as well.
That's what bugged me most about Morocco too -- you always had to wonder if the kindness was genuine or was it for cash. It was especially painful to see it coming from kids, who would then cuss or flip you off if you didn't pay them... I found things were a lot better in non-touristy areas where the people were not taught to see tourists as cash cows. My boyfriend and I hitchhiked from Marrakesh through Ouarzazate and Zagora, and encountered nothing but lovely local people along the way who didn't expect any cash but even GAVE us some money and treats to bless our travels. 🙏🏼 Moroccan people are truly amazing, don't let the tourist traps discourage you!
Oh absolutely agreed! Eamon and I have been in Morocco for a month now and have come across the most wonderful, heart-felt people ❤️ Marrakesh just took us by storm that first night hahaha we were not prepared even though everyone warned us 😂

I've heard so many stories about Marrakesh and Morocco period. Have to be careful but I still look forward to visiting just not alone like I usually do.

I usually have a great time solo traveling, and had no one else on that side of the world to go with me so I still went, but it was very overwhelming and scary alone!
I just keep saying - you guys are soooo brave... Too be young and able to just go with the flow. It's really an escape to watch your videos. Have a GREAT time and stay SAFE!!!!! (the one thing watching this is I know you are OK at the moment :) ) CARRY ON!!!
Loved that Eamon got to kiteboard & how happy it makes him... And that Bec was SO excited for their friend to join them... It's helpful to see the up & low moments of traveling (great food, colorful, fun markets, community & kiteboarding as well as cleaning, laundry, oil change, people overselling) that's real. I didn't like Bec's jingle before working out, it really hit me wrong... I know she has healthier motivations than becoming fat 😔

I felt that as well. I had turned the video off this morning after the jingle, decided to finish it tonight. It’s totally my own triggers but just thought it seemed really insensitive. I don’t feel like bec is that way, but as someone who isn’t skinny, it felt yucky.

Cathie Preece yeah I didn’t reply immediately because its felt odd to see Lee and no Max and Occy...I was an ardent fan and viewer of their channel and them....some major ambivalence for sure, but the bottom line is I hope everyone is living the life that is best for them and my biggest hope and prayer is that Max and Occy can be reunited again soon❤️🐾🇨🇦🐾🇦🇺

Great vlog. We spent our honeymoon in Marrakesh, beautiful place. I remember the square being crazy, been taken on a guided tour which ended up being in a shop which you weren’t allowed out of before you bought something 😂. Also, the call for pray always sounded like they were shouting “coming ready or not”😂😂. Loving your tour.
