I remember watching this video last year dreaming about working at Riot. I was still trying to break into the games industry and I had no games of experience. Last November I got my first games job as a Level Designer and while I'm not at Riot yet, I'm working closer to realizing that dream. Videos like these help remind me why I want to work here in the first place. Games like LoL and Valorant have given me some of my favorite gaming memories and working with like-minded people would make me feel at home. Thanks for making this video and I hope wherever you're working now is treating you well!
Wherever you work you can find joy and like minded people to connect with. I understand it’s your dream but remember that even the most qualified people may not get hired in certain places due to sheer luck. It’s good to dream and try to apply but don’t make it your last resort. Afterall, happiness comes from within not from a video game company office. I’m saying this out of love ❤️ Stay safe and keep doing what you love.
Morgan, I saw how you look at the end of the video after you finish the exit interview. Change is very scary and you never know if it's the right choice. At least you had a choice. I am cheering for you. Thank you for sharing
I love watching these types of videos. I am currently 17 years old studying Games Design at college and would really love to become a games developer like you someday! it would be a dream to work at huge companies like Riot Games someday. I hope one day I achieve my dreams and make it there like you! 😊
I live in LA and have dreamed at working at Riot for a while. Hopefully I can make that dream come true soon! Ill be working hard to finish up college and see if i can land an interview
Thank you for this contribution to the game. If I play that game so much, it's because of passionate and talented people like you ! Would love to integrate their machine learning team !
Currently interviewing for Riot right now. Doing the most prep I've ever done for job interviews. Hoping it goes well, because Riot genuinely looks like a great place to work.
LOL I was drinking water from the glass cup and we decided to walk outside and the boba truck is super close to us so decided to get the boba but to be efficient and not hold a cup in each hand I stacked them 😹
Hehehehehehee good question. I was drinking that cup of water and brought it outside then decided to get boba and that cup is meant to be washed so just stacked them to make it easy to carry
Must’ve been hard to leave.. they gave you the opportunity to get into game development without experience in coding. Maybe Amazon has better opportunities for you like you said 😎 but they understand. That’s the next video to watch!
You must be proud to be out of that cave of apes. I've never seen a video of yours, but this isn't meant to be against you. I've been removing videos related to that company for months and the name keeps popping up. If it was just about you and whatever I wouldn't be bothering with a comment unless it was positive. I've only ever spoken against companies that actively ignore their customers (players in this case). When tencent bought most of the shares for thsi company, things went south. Some of which were for legal reasons (tribunal). The implementation of TFT felt like the company admitted that LoL was a shitshow solely because you guys couldn't (I'm assuming) change the matchmaking system despite -->taking my advice and doing exactly what I suggested with VERY Shy numbers instead of those I proposed. Thus making me simply say: "Yea I'm done they're morons and that boat must sink". I'm glad you left this place. The extremely sad part about the utter lack of perspective of Riot is that the Only reward system is not only RNG but it prompts children to be more compulsive and gamble $$ on these rewards. This company was doomed the moment tencent bought 70% of its shares just to emerge in the US market for a piece of the mobile gaming payout. That company is Evil (literally). Not a fan of youtube either... doesn't defend it's creators/users. I would expand on that, but... that's enough "negativity"... the truth is a double edged sword when you're talking to people from this era (not you... just in general). Take care... hopefully the next chapter has a lot more potential than this for you. GL!
