I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm just starting on the path of becoming a hunter after getting a taste for wild venison. Your videos have been really helpful.
Thanks Blake! There are more coming. Lots of fire cooking and stays away and hopefully 3 new stalks in Scotland next week. Alex Join this channel to get access to perks: ua-cam.com/channels/dFDMz4wVDQ-ytrLobvxPMQ.htmljoin
When installing the bolt in the rifle it will make life easier if you press the bolt release button in. This will allow the bolt to slide past the spring loaded stop
Thanks Stuart! The amount of times I struggled with that thing! 😜 me and James have put a plan together to start some proper tuition to try and bring me up to speed now. Thanks again I really appreciate any support I can get.
@@HunterGathererCooking from being a 'Non' shooter to looking forward to your DSC1 in the little time you've had is quite impressive. When I did mine in 2021 I really enjoyed the whole experience, even the swatting and classroom banter. I made up a few rhymes to help with remembering deer seasons. One was, you'll be an April Fool 'til Halloween if you shoot a Doe now. Doe off season 1st of April to 31st October. It's the little things 🤔😂
Take your time between shots mate. Remember to breath slowly, exhale and then squeeze your whole hand at the end of the breath. No rush when it’s a cupboard cut out mate. Super happy you’ll be out knocking a few over soon though mate. Well done.
@@HunterGathererCooking 100% the right attitude mate. Slow and steady is the safest way. You’ll have shots available when you start out and you’ll leave them because of that attitude. But that’s the right way, and never let anyone tell you different. You will sting one up one day ( it’s a guarantee ) you really don’t want that to happen till you’ve got a few under your belt. I’m certain you’ll smash dsc1 mate, and I’m certain you’ll make a top class stalker. Especially with a mentor like Matt behind you. Keep up the great work bud
Hi, finding your videos really helpful. Am also about to start my FAC journey and looking at courses. Whats the difference in qualifaction DCS1 & PDS1?
Great question, and I hope to not only tell you this, but show you as I’m registered to do both. Just give me a little bit of time and I will sit down and get them up as most of the work on here is the editing. Alex In essence, one is more hands-on, and the other is sat at a computer so I think it’s about finding the one that suits you best. I feel a million miles away at the moment but I would rather be slow and steady than rush it and mess it up
