Hey! I Personally don't but I have small hands (wearing a small ladies glove). I think it can be good for a lot of men who tend to have bigger palms so they feel more connected to the club!
Coach C, a very good video. My issue is having the ball too far forward, I am a leftie . It just feels more powerful. When I get it, it works great but the fade comes in when I miss. Any advice on how to help me move the ball position to a better place. I use alignment sticks in my practice
Great lesson Coach C… I would love your thoughts on this, I like to set up like a mid iron but set my driver head about 2 inches behind the ball. With this I know where the bottom of my swing is and allows me to hit slightly upward on the ball. It prevents me from over tilting my shoulders and hips. 68 years old and get about 220-230 yards of carry. Good idea or not?
Rick, if its working for you i am on board with it! Seems like you are launching your driver well and you carry distance is solid. Golf is a super individual game and there may be other things in your swing specific to you that make this approach work. If you ever feel like your driver is coming off the face too low or creeping right of the target, id suggest to make sure your ball position doesn't creep toI far toward the middle of your stance. Again, if its working, we don't need to fix it! Keep up the great work!
When you shift your weight to the lead foot and rotate hips the head and body stays behind the impact. Isn’t this different from an Iron or fairway shot?
Thanks - I always say they're all the same swings just with a different setup and everyone looks with big eyes and doesn't believe what I just said;) greetings from Graz
Dear Coach Carolin I did love it. But l feel l would never be able to swing the club as beautifully as you. You make it look so easy too.I remember on David Leadbetter"s dvd he completely changed someone'y swing But his pupil must have been good to start with, no? A wee bit of acting perhaps?😊 Just kidding
No, the way the club sets up (length, lie angle, etc.) already flattens your swing path so the focus is on the set up! No need to actively swing different.
one thing is that i ❤your training lessons once you actually get to them.............. but too much talkie talkie and not enough show now i know they are free but just get to the lessons and stop talking about all the wrong facets of our crap swings.
Awesome - I just started watching your videos. Simple ideas and so sensible.
Very simple.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
It’s Calm Down Carolyn again, thank goodness.
Please do a video on shaping your shots... Draws & Fades...
I wasn’t doing the hip-bump upon setup. My swing felt awkward as I was only tilting my spine. The hip-bump along with spine tilt helped! Thank you!!
I asked the dumb question on your other video (take away) you made it clear on this video. Thank you
Another great lightbulb moment, thanks again, Mike from Idaho
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice
Enjoying the lessons! Curious, do you prefer a larger grip on your driver? I'm getting used to it.

Fantastic, thanks for the tips. Just one question, how do you change your swing with a driver compared to iron’s swing ? 😂😂😂

That’s what I’ve always heard mechanics kinda the same but different also

Nice -- liked how nothing really different between driver and other clubs.
Do you do online lessons?
I do! You can check out the options on www.coachcarolingolf.com

I disagree; I find that the coach’s demeanor and comments make her lessons both helpful and enjoyable.
