Thanks for the video Neil and welcome to the club. The case that Knights sell is a good investment IMO. I prefer the Randy III to the Thunderpole TX myself (other than the NRC that is) cheers Dave 🙂
The Randy III was updated recently to include the "Scan Skip" feature that many of their new Cb radios are getting. It allows you to lock out certain channels while scanning. Does yours have that feature? They said it's printed on the outside of the box to make it clear, because they kept the same name, model number and sku code.
great video. I can hardly wait to see a range test.. I hope you do bother Randy and the Thunderpole I can't even guess what has more range.... but looking forward to finding out
As soon as the weather breaks i will get up the top with it as well as around the streets. I suppose i could pop by the sea if it interests you, good excuse for a trip out anyway.
Fantasitci looking forward to your comparison videos with this and the T-X.
Thanks….Yeah I’m quite curious myself.
Very Informative Cheers Neil 👍
Thanks Andy 👍

Hmmm good question, it doesn’t ring a bell but i will check later and get back to you.
Just remembered to check and my unit doesn’t have this feature.
Would be interesting sometime to compare the updated Randy III to the Randy II FCC, particularly the menus and key layout. @@gtretroworld
