I think its because I often find Kripps useful and interesting but Kibler is almost always just doing a video of a constructed game, which isn't something I feel I really miss out on
Okay, this year I WILL GET NEMSY. Last time when i went on fire sight gathering we just got drunk so hard that we didn't even touched hs. BUT THIS YEAR it will be diffrent. No beer until i get this little gnome.
I did 12 arenas total over two days. l had three up to 5 wins arenas and others were all 7+, but no 12 because misplays. Deck quality - the lowest one was 67.8 with priest-lock which I had 3 loses in a row at 11 wins. The highest deck score I had was 76.5, because I had 3 legendaries and still got my face owned by smorc rogue mage as final boss. This arena format rewards good players the most.
I never play arena ( I think may have like 5-10 wins total, just not my thing) but this dual class stuff is a pretty fun idea. Currently 1-1 as a warrior with shaman hero power with my loss being to a warlock priest that I took to fatigue. I wonder if Blizzard would consider adding a dual class game mode that isn't seasonal. Would probably have to be arena exclusive because I imagine balancing that would be insane.
Got to 11 wins with PalaHunter :> Agressive deck with buffs (Blessing of Kings/Sound the Bells). If i lost the board the Hunter HP got me there most of the time. I rarely encountered someone with a defensive Hero Power.
Almost as good as dual class cards! (1.) A Priest AND Paladin Spell: - 4 Mana, give a minion +4 Health and double its Deathrattles. (2.) A Shaman AND Mage spell for 6: If you Control as many or more minions then your opponent deal 2-4 Damage to all enemy minions; otherwise deal 5 Damage to all minions. *** These cards can be put in any of the two classes they represent. I'm surprised we don't have anything like this in the game. (1.) A Deathrattle enabler for Priest. Aaaaand for Paladin. Easy. (2.) A board clear that requires you to think about your board. And I think it's good.
Return of 3 class cards would be cool. Or even super big expansion alliance vs horde. Where they are 2 big fractions and each class belongs to 1. Not really cannon but whatever. Skins could change side of the war. (Pay2win but yeah, sure)
Tbh though the 1st card wouldnt see play. Imo something like this would be better Trial and Error (Priest/Paladin) 3 mana Give a minion Rush and Deathrattle: Resummon this minion. This fits curve a lot more and had a lot of utility that Corpse Taker doesnt have. Works well in deathrattle priest to trigger deathrattles if your opponent controls minions. I will say it's somewhat niche those, since early game giving a minion rush this way isnt as good. A 0-1 mana "give a deathrattle minion rush" might be better.
Oh, that last game, the Bittertide/Warpath finish? Sublime. Just, the absolute Wizard-trolling the scrubs. Because against the Kripp, they're ALL Jumped-up scrubs.
What's the best combination? I think Druid + Warlock Or maybe Druid + Mage Priest + Warlock Shaman + Warlock Basically life tap is the best hero power to me 😅
Lol in 6 runs I managed to score about an extra 1500g starting with 250g... I got 12 12 10 10 12 8 wins in a row ...Surprisingly Hunter> Rogue combo works really well. Make sure to get rogue hero power and get a lot of good tempo cards so good 1 drops but mostly strong 2/3 drops are important..
I have a match with a Ranked Taunt Druid, i was 8-2 and i loss. He have Hadronox, 2 Cube and Naturalize, and obviously a tons of good taunts cards. Edit: I lost after 3 fatigue turns and after he fill the board for 3 times in a row (i was a rogue/priest).
0:23 Isn't the point of a limited time dual-class arena *supposed* to be crazy powerful combos? Of course your Hearth Arena shows that the most powerful decks were from the last dual class event! Apparently, they heard your complaints about the last time and made this arena event boring and predictable, just the way you like it. Not particularly surprising for someone who has turned a game into a job, I suppose.
Managed to get a 72 point warrior druid with 2 lichkings but only got 5 wins cause of last opponent being extremely lucky and me going second half of My games
Lol the last two weeks he played "worst arena class" and picked Paladin all the time and explaining multiple times that paladin is weakest class in arena right now. Black knight is ok but also situational, heals are only good when combigned with other effects (Minion, weopons or card draw)... I prefer to pick buffs because they also raise the attack and thats better then "just" heal. Dread infernal will most likely suck in arena due to the low stat line. However in paladin it could work if u have some buffs for it.
Kripp, if you guys do a weed stream you will have one more viewer from our household LOL. When I told him what you said, his eyes lit up. Yes, I live with a pot head well when he can afford it hehe. Have fun at Twitch-con and Blizzcon.
I dislike the current state of arena because of two reasons: first, I like to play arena to gain access to cards I don't own, since I'm a free-to-play player. Second, I want to see crazy things happening in a game, instead of playing boring neutral classic cards. I see no problem with arena being, as you say, similar to constructed. Your point is that, now, the best player wins. That might be closer to truth than before, but in reality, the guy with the better deck wins. Simple as that. Now, dual class arena was released in a state when arena cards power level are low, therefore, dual class arena is just as boring as normal arena. Dual class arena is MEANT to be crazy, with crazy power level cards, even if you don't like it being crazy. That's my opinion why I stopped playing arena, and how this version of dual class arena was the last straw for me
Gabriel Souza You’re entitled to your own opinion but saying match outcomes are down to the better deck winning is just plain incorrect. You’re looking at Kripp with a 7-8 win average, who got #1 arena player on leaderboards 3 times, who drafts mid 60 decks on average. You can’t really call a gamemode where the best players have around an 80% win rate a mode solely based on card quality. Kripp beats absolutely insane decks with decks that are much much worse on a regular basis. Arena is mostly determined by skill, it just has a much larger skill gap then constructed since you aren’t doing the exact same thing hundreds of times over. (Just to clarify, this isn’t directed at your opinion of wanting arena to have high card quality. It’s only directed at the point of saying deck quality is more important than skill.)
You should not forget that in the arena you get to experience cards that you would never see in constucted. Winning with them against better cards is truly satisfying.
I agree with you, I enjoyed the wacky and crazy combo’s of the first dual class area. Now, because class cards have a fairly low occurrence, your basically playing the same arena you were a few days ago, only difference is you have a different hero power and synergy is harder to get.
Powerful doesn't necessarily mean crazy or flashy. Crazy things happen when every player draft a different, personal deck. That's not the case with the bucket system + the obvious class card picks (playing against a paladin with 5 spikeridged steeds is not "crazy", it's just annoying). When i'm playing Arena i don't expect a "meta", if i want that, i play constructed (where all the crazy-predictable-things happen). What i really don't like about the current state of the Arena is the "new" bucket system. This dual-class thing brings some variety for a bit, at least.
lol maybe its nerfed but is still the same if u pick the right classes u win , i was last time almost every game 12 wins , and this time its the same u were just crying, and u just missed the one of the best hero in arena , priest with life tap

I really miss the dual class tavern brawl. Kripp make it happen again. I know you have the power
Played agaisnt a hunter-druid who coined wild growth INTO ANOTHER WILD GROWTH. I had no chance
I got my first 12 win arena with this dual class mode! Warlock then Druid.
I drafted a hunter mage deck with the mage hero power. It was actually pretty good!
