- In this video we will be going over detailers gatekeeping. The reason for this video is to bring awareness in the detailing community. We all love detailing cars. But there are cons to it as well. I will be covering the struggles in starting a detailing business. Some people don’t like to help you in the detailing industry. Also they want to keep there detailing secrets and detailing tips and tricks to them selfs. Why is that ? Drop it in the comments below if you guys came across this issue. We would love for you guys to share your story on this platform. The reason why I made a detailing channel is to help out people who are barely starting off or for vets in the game to learn off each other. Some detailers don’t want you to outperform them. Yeah I know sometimes you got to pay to play. I was just telling someone I’m learning a new trade but some dude wanted to charge me $600 for 4 hours. I can’t learn anything in that time. I would always suggest to do your homework. Thank you for dropping in on the channel 🙏🏽

Yes this is why I make this video to bring awareness to the community. For the OGs to help out and step up. I don’t mind paying but don’t take advantage of us. Side story I reached out to a OG tinter for a class and wanted to charge me $500 for 4 hours. I think that’s wild 😅

People don’t realize that theirs plenty of cars to go around, and that in order for you to keep your high level of detailing you need friendly competition! I hate how detailers do this, and that’s why I strive so much to help new detailers, so they don’t have to make the mistakes I did on buying detailing products and tools

Some of the products I've sourced have been from auto detailing forums on Reddit. People there tend to drop the names of the items they use and others sometimes add on by seconding said product, so that would be one of my suggestions on products, methods, etc.

I got lucky and the first detailer I messaged ended up being my mentor… but yes I agree speak about what you do help that person starting out. Great video. How do you get water to fill up a portable water tank? I live in an apartment and have no option.
Hey I would do some research and find out where are local detailing stores are and they mostly sell spot free water. What city are you located at ?
Its competitive out here... Marketing yourself is key...and it may seem easy but detailing isn't simple...

@@m3finish I'm just now getting things together now.. took me 3 months to properly be able to start.. I see videos saying all you need is $500 to start a detailing Business... Yeah 500 to detail your own car like never before.. ... That 500 isn't even enough to get a decent generator & pressure washer combo....
@@cutlasssupreme508 yeah some of the people that make videos can mislead you. I would say a good $4,000 min you need to start if you want to do mobile detailing. But it’s a lot of work and dedication

Make yourself stand out, do something different than everyone else.

Those are some good recommendations on products ! I never tried Jescar how is that ? When I say to pay for people to teach you I’m find with that but someone charged $600 for 4 hours I feel like that’s crazy 😅
Any man that doesn't want to share knowledge is someone you don't want to learn from in the first place. They are always either dumb (and don't want to expose themselves), greedy (one guy can't service everyone), or are just a shitty person in general. I've learned this one the long and painful way over the years and I stopped asking other people for free advice long ago. Free advice is worth what you pay for it. It's 2024 people and information is readily available out there. Some things will be trial and error, but find what works best for you. The best way I've learned something is to cherry-pick things from others that I feel would work best for me in whatever I'm doing. Products are products. Try them out and see what you like and what you don't.

On the channel 👊🏽 I know now I rarely ask everyone for advice or if I do I have a small group of detailers to ask and they do the same. But I’m always down to help out people. It just sucks I wanted to take another class and some guy told me $600 for 4 hours and I was like I can’t learn anything in 6 hours on a new service. But I’ll keep researching and go from there 🙏🏽
don't gate keep, which detailer did you go to and didn't get any knowledge from? lol help the community and let us know that way we don't waste $500 and stay away from that detailer.
😂 I don’t feel like it’s a good thing to do and bash people. It was a detailer on LA I’ll tell you that. But it is what it is he doesn’t really offer training that much anymore. I appreciate you keep grinding bro 👊🏽
Can anybody give me a advice in what car shampoo is good in direct sunlight, I have used some of chemical guys but leave water marks and streaks, so far I heard of Adam’s car shampoo that is good but haven’t still use it

I’d get a canopy instead. It’ll save your butt enough times to be worth it! Definitely come in clutch for me
Hey are you using spot free water ? The reason why I ask because the water that you use can be hard and creates spotting from the minerals in the water. If not I recommend getting a DI filtration system or something to soften the water to prevent that. As far as the soap streaks just stick to a PH balance soap and you should be fine. If your still having issues
I would wax or protect the paint then that might solve your issue. Hopefully this helps you 🙏🏽
