Vertical ruler not working in MS Word- how to resolve or return it

The missing vertical ruler affected all my MS Word files and it does not return even I tried to change the Margin setting.

Worked for Mac! Found under Preferences, View, Show Window Elements. Restarted Word and it worked. Thanks!

MAC Users:
Word -> Word Preferences -> Ribbon & Toolbar
Choose commands from: -> Select all commands
Bottom right, create new group under layout.
From the left find "White Space Between Pages"
Move it using the ">" button to your new group.
Click Save.
Now click that new button - it won't have an icon, just the name.
