Grocery hauls are one of my favorite videos to watch, cooking to see what other people make for dinner and then decorating. But yours are one of my favorites. I just love your videos. I can't wait for them to come out..

Dead trees need to be removed & all that wood will provide heat this winter. Loved seeing all your boys outside watching the tree come down! I am happy you'll be working outside for awhile. Love your property & excited to see all the improvements going on.
Just my opinion but I think a small tractor would be an asset, plowing, tilling, snow removal, field and brush removal😊
You're very good stewards of your land and I just loved watching all the action happening! I love spring and it is going to be a wonderful one with lots of new things happening! I am very excited about getting out in my yard and getting lots of limbs cut, composting my little flower bed, and spring planting! A tractor would be a huge help to y'all there now and for your long range plans. Gosh it's great to see Tim and Milo having such fun! Looked to me like you enjoyed mowing down that garden/pasture area too! And it is never too late to reach for those dreams! And speaking of food!! I made your lasagna and it was SO delicious! My mom and dad were just shy of their 50’s when they moved onto a 10 acre homestead. Dad had spent 8 years building a beautiful mid$century modern home. I was a new high schooler, but I remember mowing, picking fruit, planting flower beds and vegetable patches. Lots of work, but we loved it. You’ve got this.

I like the music in your videos. Everything is perfect. That stream was beautiful
Now is a good time to rake up all that was mowed down. Looks like a lot of carbon for the compost pile. You layer it with green things and brown stuff. Kitchen scraps, egg shells, green things in the yard you cut down, grass clippings, and chicken poop. You scratch the dirt and water it a little, add your brown stuff (carbon), lightly moisten, add some nitrogen stuff (green things), lightly moisten, add another layer of brown and keep repeating, like lasagna. Compost happens. I am a master composter. Our waste disposal company gave a six week, four hour course. It was fantastic. 😊
Oh wow...thanks for all the great info. I bought a small composter but Tim said it's way too small for our needs. He has something else in mind. I can't wait to get it started. 😊
Valarie you can start your compost in the small container till Tim has done your bigger compost heap. You could use the small one to start the larger composting heap.

Hi Valerie! I would be lost in the grocery store without a list! It's a shame that you have to clean up the nonsense someone left behind. I applaud how you folks just take it all in stride and keep it moving. I wish you every blessing as you work to make your place the farm you always wanted.
I think they were elderly and ill. I may be wrong. I know they lived there many many years.
A wood splitter was one if our best investments. We were able to prepare and clean up wood that had been sitting around for a few years all because splitting it with an ax is hard work when you get older.
That property will keep you young!!!!!

Better late than never to follow your dreams. We got our dream home in our late 60s. Sometimes, it bothers me that we couldn't get it sooner, but we love it so much, and im continually reminding myself. We've been here a few years now and can no longer do much physical labor. Luckily, we were able to do most of it before that happened. Now we hire help when we need it. I'm so glad you followed your dreams. ❤

Always love seeing sweet sweet Milo, he is so happy. We were in our late 40's when we took on our country acres, the land was so over grown in places so much that we didn't realize we could see the lake from our home site(we bought a manufactured home) the farm house had burned down. Our barn was on its last leg so we had a pole barn built when the barn literally blew down. I wouldn't trade a days work on our homestead for a fancy rich place I love every minute including some back breaking days out here. I love my feathered girls and boys and my goats and now just down to one old horse who is 35 yrs old. We had 5 to start with. I also am a nurse but just work PRN, mostly retired. I love watching your videos and look forward to them. Give cute sweet Tim a hug and the boys also to Tim's momma. God Bless y'all. You property is awesome, don't work too hard.❤

Hello Valerie and Tim!!! I could.sit and listen to that creek every day!! It is beautiful. We have a Spring fed creek around our home we love it. But it doesn't have your beautiful rocks!!! I love spring and yard cleanup time. Helps me get back in shape and trim down from all the good food I ate during cold weather months. Love planting my veggie garden a flowers . My chickens love to wander the yard as I clean up, they find all kinds of snacks. Love how y’all have improved your place. It’s going to be beautiful when you are finished.
Every spring we have so many limbs and branches to clean up - we do huge burn piles - and pay to remove any dead trees- Tim is getting very used to videos now lol

Heres a tip. They put the fresher bread and produce to the back. So they can sell the older stuff first. Just check the dates. ❤

We live in Florida but also have a house with 37 acres in Georgia. We got a tractor and we get so many uses from it. Only regret we didn’t get one with a bucket on the front…..would be so useful. One day!

Hi Valerie and Tim! Another wonderful video, I loved it! I like to watch the changes in yard makeovers. The big stumps left behind would be nice planters just cut some of the middle out, add dirt, and plant flowers! I can't wait to see what you have planned for the land. I also shop at Walmart for groceries. I only have to shop for me and my husband now. My 3 kids are grown and have their own families. The cost of food is so high now I don't really enjoy shopping. You are doing a great job!

Tractors are n excellent investment - they don’t depreciate with time- they hold thier value- I thought I saw some old hay rings back there- those would be good for your animals

Hello from near Richmond, VA. I love Southwest, VA. My family is from that area of VA. Give me the mountains any day! PLEASE wear some gloves! I'm afraid you will be bitten by a spider in all of that debris you are picking up. We are already seeing copperhead snakes around here! I've always wondered if Tim worked in construction before this. He sure seems to know how to do everything regarding remodeling/electrical/drywall/painting. Blessings to all of you.
You guys got a lot accomplished. The place looks so much better with all those old weed stalks down. You can plant about anything you want there with all that room. You can raise your own sweet potato’s and white potato’s. Also veggies and things like strawberries and squash, just all kinds of thing. My mom and dad use to raise all kinds of veggies and had fruit tress and where I’m from in Ky all kinds of berries and even blue berries on bushes. You are going to have a very nice place when you finally get through with it. Which of course there will always have something to do. Lol Take care and I’ll see you in the next one.

I buy many of the same items you do.We love the cinnamon applesauce with extra cinnamon on top.I adore the sweet chili Doritos with onion dip or sour cream too.I mix up two different Stove tops flavors with onions,celery and pecans to doctor up for the holidays.I always use a cup of OJ then the rest is water.The stuffing has that tang.I'm gonna marinate some asparagus and roast it then save some for my cream of asparagus soup.

Yes, y'all's property does have potential with a great view of the mountains and I can't wait to see all y'all's plans for it like putting in a new chicken coop and doing a raised garden and more but I'm looking forward to seeing more of y'all's future home renovations also.
