Its lovely to see a good brand coming from my home country! Also on a side note, its pronounced more like "poetnik", rather than "pootnik". Thanks for giving them some exposure!
Thanks for this video Ant. I'm Czech and new to techwear and I hadn't heard of this brand before. Picked up a Latok jacket and I'm in love with it, it's incredibly practical and the materials feel great. Great deal for the price.
At 13:25 ish when you aligned the main zipper (underzipped) with the other ones, it looked straight up high-fashion. The pants are probably the best made for tech-wear right now, I love the subtle brag on them. My heart skipped a beat when you mentioned the rick owens x converse turbodrk. I have those coming in both colorways and would love to hear your thoughts from a techwear perspective!
Tilak is a great company, but they've done themself a massive disservice by discontinuing their best silhouettes in my opinion. The Asgard jacket is probably one of the best jackets they've ever produced.
The storable hoods are very similar to the Krakatau jacket I have - they pack away nicely and add structure to the collar. Great review of a brand I’ve been wondering about!
I bought the older version tilak loke ventile last year in green and it has served me really well. Ventile is 100% cotton so it's super breathable compared to my goretex jackets and will survive most UK rain showers. It also has the same stowable hood for emergencies (I almost never use it and I hate hoods anyways) and massive pockets. The collar of the jacket is really nice and adds some visual interest. Stitching is unreal and the inner pocket mesh is the best I have ever held. My one complaint would be that the waterproof zipper in the front bunches up when sitting down but it has a zip at the bottom to relax that. Would recommend it if you want another jacket that isn't goretex to be a bit more breathable.
I have three pieces by Poutnik, the Shield GTX jacket, Blade mid layer jacket and Monk pants. I love all three, the only complaint I have is the arm length is very long on both jackets and neither have the natty velcro adjuster that the jacket you reviewed had. But other than that they are amazing, functionality and quality is spot on. The monk pants are faultless, comfortable look great, good price and nifty tech creds.
Hey Antwon, I've recently gotten into the techwear style and have been loving your videos. I've got a big problem in which, alot of shoes don't fit me, as I am a size 13 uk, wide fit. I was wondering if at all possible, you could do another video about techwear shoes soon, and include some options that are open for people with bigger feet like me. If not, all good, still love the content, have a good day.
interesting brand, some good quality stuff. A bit too minimalist for me these days, but the quality is undeniable. In the past you did a review of GG's line, I think in 2018/19? and since Guerrilla Group has taken a slightly different take on technical clothing. I for one dig it, wondering your opinion. I also just learned that they have tiered customer loyalty pricing. After I just purchased the S3-AV02 (Vest) I got an email letting be know that because I have spent 2K with GG over the years I will now and forever get 15% off all my purchases, until I hit the next tear, and so on!!! Who knew??
@@Th3Adjuster that fit I named the "budget Antwon" since I was mimicking his pose. The jacket is Enshadower City Shadow, the pants are Riot Division four pocket nylon.... Not sure if either are still made

New watcher of ur videos. Been loving them but wondering ur thoughts on cp company if u have any favorite silhouettes. Recently just got the diagonal goggle hoodie. N also the nylon shirt goggle jacket.
Anyone know of other global shops that could ship Poutnik by Tilak products right now? I tried Queens and apparently the shipping service doesn’t ship to the US right now.
don't know if you've covered this before, but would you ever start your own clothing brand? i follow a good amount of fashion youtubers and love seeing them branch out into making quality pieces that speak to them (sangiev, magnus, gallucks, keezy, gizmo) but none of them lean towards tech. i know there are dozens/hundreds of techwear brands out there and it might not even be a desire of yours but would love to hear your thoughts. keep up all the great work and i'll continue to enjoy your meme-filled content!
shit antwon this video just came out while i was debating which pant from the new guerrilla group collecting to buy and now im stuck on getting that cool GG vest thing with the hood and a pair of the monks!
Can't speak for m65. But I've got the Myshelter Rain.rdy Parka and I think it's quite nice, breathability could be better. I bought it second hand at more than half price. Don't think I would buy it full price.
I'm really interested in techwear bc I always love functional and comfortable clothing. are there some tips one might give me to good brands that really focus on funtion over style? thanks in advance! Cheers
Only place I found that stocked some pieces was Alpha Shadow in London. Got the collaboration Loke jacket in the lovely boudreaux colour. Alas... that shop has ceased trading.
ECCO Leather makes some techwear style leather that people have made some great jackets out of, although most are concepts and exclusives. Stone island made some dyneema leather jackets from them and sruli recht has made transparent leather jackets that are more high fashion. Basically just google products from ecco leather but they are pretty pricey

been looking at the monk pants for a while, they look like practical, smart casual capable, as opposed to goofy options from other techwear brands.

I can vouch for the raptor mig, definitely good value for money for a gtx pro jacket as some military stores stock them at much lower than retail.
We still have a few left ...
