I love that a well known, accomplished sculptor took the time to create a piece for a young man, one that he had only met, to make his birthday special. It’s incredibly heartwarming.
Ayant participé à la fabrication de dizaines d'oeuvres monumentales de Calder à Tours en France, cette maquette ne me semble pas datée de 1969, à cette époque il n'utilisait que des tôles d'aluminium de faible épaisseur et découpées avec une cisaille, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour cette maquette.
What a piece of junk. I love art but only when the artist is truly talented. My 3 year old has made better. Some art valuations are absolutely shocking

He probably had it in his studio already, and just gifted it to the kid. I don't think Calder made it specifically for him.
